Portal to the underworld

All Nina could see was Hernia standing in front of her with a dagger pointed at Hannah's throat.

"Hannah!" Nina screamed on the ground.

"You want me and not her. Please release Hannah." She cried out.

"Kill Lucifer if you want Hannah to remain alive."

"Don't!" Hannah said and Hernia pushed the dagger into her skin causing blood to rush out.

Nina was confused. If she go on a fight with Lucifer he would kill him and if she refused to go Hernia would kill Hannah. She didn't want Hannah to die because of her.

"Alright! Release her! I will kill Lucifer!" Nina yelled and Hernia dropped the dagger immediately before releasing Hannah.

"We shall meet again to start for your preparation." And with that, Hernia disappeared.

Nina and Hannah appeared back in the bathroom and they fell down holding each other while crying endlessly.

Nina shook Hannah after sometime but she was not responding.

"Hannah!" Nina screamed.

She carefully looked at Hannah's neck where Hernia had cut her with the dagger.

With her little study in the demon house, she could assume that the dagger Hernia used for Hannah was infectious. If she didn't act fast, Hannah could die from the wound.

So she leaned closer and brought her mouth to the open wound. She sucked out all the blood which had turned dark and spat it in the sink.

She continued sucking and spitting the blood out until her blood turned back to red. She stood up and brought the first aid box before attending to her wound.

She carried Hannah to the bed and they slept off. The next day, Nina went to check the wound and saw that it was improving. It wasn't as bad as yesterday.

As they went in their daily basis, Hernia appeared again. This time she came with a magic book.

Seems like this woman is so serious in killing Lucifer, Nina said in her head.

"This is the royal castle where Lucifer stays. The reason I'm starting with the castle is because it has so many guards and before you pass through them you must give them your blood to test if you're a pure demon or if you was banned." Hernia explained.

"So what happens if I was banned and returned to the underworld?" Nina asked curiously.

"Once they finds out that you were banned from the underworld but you came back, they wouldn't hesitate to slice your throat off." Hernia said.

"Who is this?" Nina pointed at a woman drawn in the other page.

"This is Lucifer's mother who have been imprisoned for years by his father. But sadly he died and only his blood could awaken the woman. So until now she is still unconscious in the cell." Hernia sighed.

"That's everything you should know and be careful when fighting with him. Just be careful." Hernia closed the book before turning to Nina.

"So how are we going to get there?" Nina asked.

"We will need to make a portal that would take you there. Once you successfully killed him, you should use the same portal back home, is that understood?"

Nina nodded. "Hannah is coming with me too."

"No." Hernia replied with a smirk.

"Listen I do not trust you with Hannah. She's coming with me. Hopefully I will be able to protect her." Nina stated.

"Alright."

"So where's the portal?" Hannah asked after dressing her wound.

"Follow me." Hernia walked to the bathroom and they followed her. She used her hands to rub the wall while saying some words. After some time, she stopped and looked at Nina.

"This is the portal to the underworld." Hernia smiled.

"This is just a wall. How could it be the portal to the underworld?" Hannah questioned.

Hernia didn't reply but instead she muttered the strange words while drawing a symbol on the wall.

Suddenly the house begin to vibrate and crack. Nina looked at the wall as it shattered open.

Behind the wall, was a burning fire. It burned heavily like a volcano and one could not be able to see the other side. Hannah's eyes widened as she stared at the huge volcano.

Something pulled her to touch it, she didn't know what entered inside her. But as she touched the volcano to see if it was real, she was pulled inside, disappearing from sight.

Nina stared at Hernia not knowing what to do. Her friend just went in and she didn't know if it was safe. What if she was killed?

"Is she safe?" Nina asked nervously.

"Unfortunately she's not a demon. She has less than two minutes before the guards find out that she is a human and she will be killed." Hernia said with a dull expression.

"And you allowed her?" Nina questioned.

"What do you expect me to do? To pull her legs to stop her from going? This is the door to the underworld and if any one comes in contact with it, the person would be pulled in. She is not a demon which was why when she saw it, she was hypnotized to touch it."

"So what are we going to do?" Nina asked. "I don't want her to die."

"Go in and you'll see her. Give her your blood to drink. It would make the guards not sense that she's a demon. She has less than two hours to stay there before the guards sense that she's a human." Hernia explained.

Nina looked into the volcano, she breathed out before placing her hand inside. Just when half of her body was in the other side, Hernia placed her black heart inside her chest.

"Your powers are back to you already. Just be careful and act fast."

Once she was done, she gave Nina a light push and she disappeared from sight. The portal closed immediately and Hernia was surprised at the turn of events.
