Murderer
The both of them rolled on top of each other until Nina was on top of her.
With one push, Zara stood up from the ground. The both of them stared at each while panting heavily.
"You!" Her eyes were still bleeding black. "Why did you come now? You're late already! You're late!"
"Me?" Nina stared at the woman. What was she talking about? And how did she know her?
"I don't under—"
"This is all your fault! Why didn't you come earlier? Why?" She tried to attack Nina again but she dodged.
"The both of you were meant for each other and not me!" Zara began pacing in the room.
Nina was confused by what the woman was talking about. Who were meant for each other? She didn't want to waste any more time but kill Lucifer and go back home. That was her purpose here but this woman was adding more problems to her plate.
"Do you know me?" Nina asked. She needed to leave this place to find Lucifer.
"Lucifer's mate." She spat. Her words made Nina took some steps backwards while trying to understand what she meant. Lucifer's mate? Who was Lucifer's mate?
"I don't understand. What are you talking about?" Nina asked cautiously.
Maybe the woman had lost her sanity, Nina thought. Zara burst out into a sad laughter. When the laughter died down, her expression turned ice cold.
"Why didn't you come earlier? If only you had come earlier!" She shrilled.
"This was all your fault! My mate wouldn't have died if you had come earlier!" She hollered.
"I don't understand anything you're talking about." She was wasting too much time here. She didn't want Lucifer to meet her here. Instead she wanted to find him and kill him.
If the two hours meet them here, the blood in Hannah's body would fade out and she would end up being killed by the guards.
"Lucifer is your mate. If only you had come earlier he wouldn't have killed my mate and forced me to marry him!" She was now crying as she fell onto her knees.
Nina opened her mouth in shock. How would the man she planned to kill end up becoming her mate? This wasn't right at all. Except this woman was insane. Yes she was insane.
"You're supposed to be the Queen of the underworld! You're too late now everything is all wrong!" Black tears were falling from her eyes heavily.
"You let Lucifer killed him! Everything is all wrong now! There is nothing for me left in this world." She shook her head sadly.
"I should kill myself now. You're the true Queen and bride of Lucifer." Immediately as the words left her mouth, a small dagger appeared in her hand.
She looked at Nina and smiled sadly. "I'm sorry Nina for what I'm about to do." She turned her gaze to the dagger and pushed it inside her skin.
Before Nina could rush to her, she stretched her left hand towards Nina and made an invisible wall to stop her from getting to her.
Afterwards, she stabbed herself multiple times before falling to the ground. At this time, Nina broke through the invisible wall and rush to her.
"Stay with me! I will try to use my powers to heal—"
"Don't" Zara smiled before handing the dagger covered with blood to Nina.
Nina was surprised but she took it.
"I'm sorry for what I'm doing but you're the right Queen for Lucifer." Once the words left her mouth, she died.
A rush of wind swept over them and in an instant there were surrounded with dozens of guards.
"Murderer!"
Everything happened so quick. Nina looked at the guards which was so many.
"You killed her!"
"You killed Lucifer's bride!"
It was then Nina knew that she was framed by the woman. Her hands were covered with blood and she was holding a dagger. Who would believe her if she say she was innocent?
Elderly men dressed in long black garment appeared.
"You killed her?" One of the men approached Nina.
"No." She shook her head.
"She should be taken to the place where her punishment would be decided." One of the guards stepped forward and was about to tackle her when the Elder stopped him.
From the look on the Elder's face, he also know that she was Lucifer's mate.
"No. She would be a replacement for Lucifer's bride. The wedding ceremony should continue." He declared.
