Chapter 36: Just getting used to living like this….

Inside the traininig room...

After swinging the blade for about two hours, I was drenched In perspiration, and my body smelled of a foul odor. But I heed no damn about it and started training with my Chaotic arts slowly getting myself in the form, gracefully gliding around the training room.

I trained about two more hours in the combat arts, before stopping to take a breather as it nearly made me faint due to how taxing it was. With a lethargic body and mind, I headed straight to the bathroom, and took a long yet refreshing bath while scrubbing all over before finally leaving the bathroom with a glowing body that wafted with lilies.

With training completed, it was time for hearty lunch, and time to read more about the legends that once roamed this world. Today, It was about a Monster so powerful, that it nearly killed all the strongest warriors alive during that time.

This monster intrigued me because it was a blood manipulator that could do anything with blood yet it didn't. It only manipulated the blood within its body to go into a frenzy, which greatly diminished the potential of its ability on the battlefield. Due to its inability to utilize its ability properly, it was later hunted by one of the strongest sword masters that roamed This world.

" If it was me instead of that monster!!" Just thinking about the horror I would have induced in any living creature with any semblance of blood in their body had me excited for that thrill.

But, I was also relieved thinking, that monster wasn't intelligent enough to think of other ways to manipulate Blood. Otherwise, this whole world might have been ruled by monsters, overthrowing humans.

"Or worse, treating humans as their slaves." It would have been an intriguing question to think about.

Alright enough about legends, it was time to feed the fishes and water the plants.

Drizzle… Drizzle…

Looking at the lush green trees in front of me, my heart was filled with serenity. The delicious aroma of the fruits hanging from their trunks, it tickled my nose and stomach every time I saw them.

" This was life"

I thought before moving towards the fish, where several beautiful fishes were swimming happily, their live eyes looking at me, especially the food in my hands. Looking at these lively fishes, I couldn't help but smile before throwing some fish food bought from the market.

After that, I went to a small farm that I had cultivated beside the pool. Looking at the little saplings of crops that were slowly sprouting from the ground, my mind was filled with serenity. It was totally different from all the chaos I was used to.

The neighborhood I used to reside in previously was filled with people who didn't bother about my privacy, those children who would irritate me every time.

But today, I stood looking at the serene environment surrounding me, my mind calm and my body reeling in the heavenly smell of the lush greenery around me.

No one was here to irritate me or intrude on my privacy. Only two people in the whole town could enter this property for now, making it a perfect haven for someone like me who gets disgusted by humans and their fake antics.

Here, I was accompanied by several birds chirping melodically and enjoying the fruits from the trees. Little squirrel-like animals roamed around my garden, munching on the saplings while casting vigilant glances at me. Fishes played in the water, their adorable googly eyes adding to the tranquility. All these elements were part of my new life here on this property, far away from other people I didn't want to be in touch with.

"I'm loving this life."

Seated on the bench beside the pool, I watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon, painting the sky in a beautiful red and blue hue, creating a wonderful backdrop for the moons to shine their ethereal light.

Slurp… Slurp…

After finishing my task and admiring the sunset, it was time for a sumptuous meal.

Today's dinner consisted of noodles topped with monster meat, adding a delicious flavor to the dish.

''Ahh… This is what life should be like."

I looked up at the sky, observing the two twinkling pearls illuminating the world with their green and red luster. I was still searching for the third one, but it remained elusive. I searched for the third one for almost an hour, but to no avail.

Left with no other choice, I was forced to sleep, hoping to find the third one in my dreams.

"I had a wonderful dream tonight."

Chirp... chirp...

Waking up to the beautiful melodies of birds refreshed my mind and filled my body with energy, ready to enjoy the new day ahead.

I took a bath, freshened myself, and ate a hearty breakfast, before once again entering the training room to train myself.

The first thing I did after entering the training room was to scribble the outlines of every rune I had on me and had seen on the equipment that was destroyed during the battle with the monsters.

Scribbling the outlines nearly took me two hours. There were several stacks of paper filled with different outlines belonging to the runes. It was a fun activity to do If I had to say as I had greatly enhanced this skill by training every day.

Training while activating the 'Rune of speed' was my next step, as I was aiming to gain control over my body. This practice would help me develop coordination between my mind and body, a crucial aspect for any warrior. Having excellent coordination allows one to react swiftly in situations where the mind is sharp, doing its job properly but the body hesitates.

Many novice adventurers perish due to this lack of synchronization. Their minds may strategize brilliantly, yet their bodies freeze when faced with formidable foes. I wasn't going to be killed because I couldn't control my own strength due to the lack of synchronization.

Training and trying to coordinate my mind and body took me nearly three hours before I was ready to train with my blade. My body was drenched in preparation, but my mind was satisfied as I was able to control my body much better than yesterday. I didn't kiss the floor, nor did I have heart-to-heart talks with walls.

''All in all, it was a great day.''

Training with the blade remained challenging, as I struggled to maintain a proper stance while swinging it. Despite having used a pair of daggers for about a decade, I had thought mastering the blade with my left hand would be a piece of cake, but it proved to be quite difficult. The training was getting difficult but I wasn't the one to fear it, I instead doubled my effort on swinging the blade, focusing everything on it.

This training session lasted for about two more hours before I felt ready to tend to my garden. After bathing and satisfying my growling stomach with lunch, I busied myself with watering the trees, feeding the fishes, and observing how much the saplings had grown, about a centimeter in just a day.

Completing all the tasks for the day, I once again enjoyed the sight of the setting sun. The cool breeze that caressed me washed away any lingering lethargy from today's work.

The chirping noise from the birds that had returned from searching the food, the little creatures borrowing to their burrows under the ground, and the cascading moonlight that was gracing the world with its magnificence, these all culminated into something wonderful that made me forget my past and look ahead towards the future that could hold anything for me.

Woosh.....

I dozed off while enjoying the serene view in front of me. My mind was enjoying a moment of respite after living in vigilance and running away from those who had wronged me till now.

The soft rustle of leaves in the breeze, the chirping of birds, and the gentle whisper of the wind, all caressed my being helping my mind to finally be at ease making me fall asleep in the garden while being gently caressed by the pair of moons that were looking at me from the distant skies.

"It was a refreshing sleep," I thought as I was woken up by the chirping of birds. My body was covered in the morning dew, sending a jolt through my body from time to time. It refreshed my whole being; my mind was clearer than it had ever been, my body bubbling with power and strength.

It felt as if my entire being had been washed clean of my past, making me a new person filled with a great future. With this renewed vigor, I started my day.

First and foremost, it was about having a sumptuous meal before once again entering the training ground, repeating the training regiment from yesterday.

This routine continued for almost a week before I was finally able to somewhat control the speed I had obtained from the rune and was ready to inscribe new runes into my being.

It took me way longer than I thought it would take.

Nothing crazy just some peaceful time, I think...
