Jealousy 5...

Turning his back to look up at her, he saw that she was no longer there again.

His head swift enough to turn to the door, he saw her moving in that direction and then called out to her.

"Where are you going?" His tiny voice could be heard.

It had the capacity to melt any girl's heart and then make them turn back as he sounded scared of being left alone...

And that was the case with Martha too, but she decided to play it off and continued walking as she said;

"You told me to leave...!" She simply said.

"And I bet that you said that so that I can see how much of a Prince you are...!" She had guessed what he was trying to do.

As she opened the door, she turned back to look at him as she smiled and said;

"Well, guess what...!" She said.

"I've seen how much of a Prince you are...!"

As she said that, little Andrew couldn't tell whether she was being serious or being sarcastic as she had stressed every word.

When she tried to look at him, she found him to be gaping at her, with his mouth wide open...

Sighing, she said;

"And as a good Prince, you have to shut your mouth!"

Having hear her raise her voice, and knowing fully well what she was talking about, his eyes snapped multiple times as he blinked and then looked elsewhere, nervous, this time not forgetting to shut his mouth with him.

Looking at him as she waited for him to at least say something, but when he didn't, she said;

"Goodnight, get some sleep, we have a huge day ahead of us tomorrow...!" She was cut short.

"Goodnight?" Little Andrew asked.

"You haven't even finished the story yet!" He exclaimed.

"Shhhh, keep it down, it's almost midnight...!"

(TL; It was just seven (7) in the evening, but since there were no time pieces, she had to use it to trick him...)

Hearing her warn him that it was midnight, he kept quiet.

Not only did he keep quiet because Martha told him to, but because of the fact that someone was behind her...

Watching him keep quiet, she couldn't help but frown as she looked at him with a frustrated look on her face.

Looking at the person behind her, little Andrew failed to notice the look on her face, as he was too immersed in looking at the person behind her...

But when he noticed that she was staring at him and that the look on her face was showing some kind of expression on her face, he couldn't help but shift his eyes to look at her.

Frowning, he asked;

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

Martha wanted to say something but as she opened her mouth, she closed them back because words could not form.

But looking at him, she only shook her head as she let out a chuckle.

Andrew was confused.

Furrowing his brows as he looked from left to right and asked;

"W...Why are you laughing?"

"You know, if the Queen was here right now, she'd shun you and you'd have a clear idea of what I am talking about when it comes to being lectured on being a Prince....!" She said.

Little Andrew raised his eyebrow.

"Don't tell the Queen I said this but...!" She whisper-shouted as she looked left and right in the room (Just for funny purposes).

"She's really beautiful...!" She whisper-shouted.

Little Andrew got confused, but his frown later turned into a smile as he knew she was in for a surprise soon...

Thinking that he had loved what she had said, she was silent for sometime before saying;

"Alright, go to sleep now...!" As she said that, she turned around and was caught off balance as she found that someone was behind her.

She almost screamed out her lungs but caught the scream in her throat as she used her hand to cover mouth, while the other was placed on her chest.

She could have sworn on that person's head of it hadn't been the Queen.

Leaning on the door, she breathed in and out heavily as she tried to calm herself down.

Meanwhile, all the time that Martha had been talking, the Queen had been behind her all along, listening to all what she had been saying...

That was why little Andrew had been staring behind her all along.

No wonder he had diverted his gaze and attention...

She thought that he was was thinking of what she was saying...

No knowing that he was actually staring at his Mother (The Queen), who was right behind her!

Who does that?

As Martha was talking, the Queen was through talking with Sara, so she decided to head towards Andrew's room to confirm if he was asleep yet.

But to her surprise, he was still awake...!

And Martha was still in the room with him...!

As she was about to open the door to check if her guess was correct, she heard footsteps headed towards the door. That was when she had thought of hiding and then surprising the both of them...

And she been really successful at it.

Because when Martha had opened the door, she had made sure that she wasn't fully outside, so she slowly tiptoed to the back of Martha and stood there patiently as she listened to their conversation...

When it got to the part where Martha had shunned him and told to keep it down and that it was midnight, that was the time little Andrew had noticed her behind Martha...

And she had placed her finger on her lips, a sign that he shouldn't make a sound.

Obeying his Mother and waiting patiently for Martha to turn around (which she had done), she couldn't help laughing...

She had really given her quite the scare...

As Martha leaned in the door with her hand in her chest in order to calm herself down, the Queen placed her hand on her (Martha's) back as she began caressing her gently...like a Mother that she was.

Breathing in and out heavily, Martha was able to get herself to calm down as she then looked up.

If she wasn't assigned to the young Prince to be role-model for him to follow, she would have screamed out now...

But maintaining her composure, she breathed in hand out three (3) times and she looked at the Queen, who, was smiling at her....

And then back at Andrew, who, was on the bed laughing at her, and then back at the Queen and the at Andrew and then back at the Queen...

It just went back and forth like that until she shook her head and looked at the Queen.

Slamming her left hand against her forehead, she closed her eyes as she said;

"Where are my manners...?"

Giving off a quick bow, Martha looked at the Queen and asked;

"Mi'lady, if I may ask, how long have you been standing here?" She didn't hesitate in asking.

Still smiling broadly, the Queen was silent for sometime as she didn't take her hand off of Martha's back as she asked;

"Is it a wrong thing to do?"

"To have a walk round my Castle?" The added as she asked.

The way she caressed Martha's back gave her goosebumps as she looked at the Queen's hand...

But hearing the Queen's question, Martha was quick to answer...

"No, no, no t...t...that's not what I meant...!"

"Then what did you mean then?" The Queen cut her off.

She didn't answer as she was trying look for a better answer.

Then she remembered something.

Slowly turning her head to look at Andrew who was giggling on the bed with the pillow in his hand to cover his mouth, she said;

"If you had told me that the Queen was behind me, I would have watched what had come out of my mouth...!"

Her voice sharp, but not harsh...besides, you're talking to the Queen's own child, and she was standing right in front of you...

What would you do?
