CH3- Welcome back

At 10:30 Mia got ready and got her her car to pick her brother up from the airport. She reached the airport around 12:25 a.m., her brother's plane landed at 12:30 so it took a while for him to come out and when he received a biggest hug from his sister.

Mia: Oh my dear brother I missed you so freaking much. She said still hugging him

Carter: Ya I've missed you too but let go of me first i can barely breath. He told as his sister's grip was tight.

They went to their car to place the luggage inside and after that hit the road.

Carter: Are we going home?

Mia: Nope it's too dark we'll go home when the sun's up.

Carter: Until then?

Mia: We got this big car. We'll stay here until then.

Carter: Fine.

Mia stopped the car at the end of the road there weren't many vehicles moving. They spoke about alot of stuff and got all caught up about what happened in 3 years in their lives....

Next day

Both of them woke up and got freshened up and drove home.

Carter: They will scold you don't loose your temper

Mia: Why don't you tell them this

Carter: I did what I had to now it's upto you

As they entered the secretary yelled "Mia's home and Carter too" "Don't yell Ms. Hathaway" Mia shushed her with an annoyed face "How can I not you've been gone for 3 days Mia THREE! We were worried sick" but Mia pretended as if she didn't hear her "Welcome home Carter" "Hi Ms.Hathaway long time" she smiled and said "yes"

"Oh My God Mia your finally back, took you long enough" Josephine came to hug her daughter "You too Carter" and she went to hug him too.

Carter: Hi mom.

Ryker: So you both finally decided to show up.

Their father walked in and the room kinda got heavy Mia rolled her eyes and didn't even greet him and went to her room and Josephine followed her.

Carter: Hello Father.

Ryker: Welcome son looks like you've gained some muscle. He pointed at Carter's biceps.

Carter: Ya kind of. He gave an awkward smile.

They went their ways but the sight in Mia's room was different

Josephine: You can't just ignore your father like that Mia.

Mia: If he can do what he wants I'll do the same.

Josephine: Honey don't do that you might get yourself into trouble.

Mia: I don't care mom.

Before Josephine could talk a knock was heard.

Carter: Am I interrupting?

Mia: No come in. Where's your stuff?

Carter: I left my stuff in my room thought I'll have a talk.

Josephine: Come sit here. She patted on the bed and Mia sat across the bed.

Carter: So mom what is all the news fuss about?

Mia: Is it even true?

Josephine: Well...

Mia: What do you mean 'well'? Is it true mom?

Josephine: Yes, it is true.

Both the kids were speechless and Mia scoffed before she spoke....

Mia: So your telling me you knew about Dad's relationship from the start?

'.........'

Mia: And the hospital thing- you really are sick aren't you mom?

Carter: Mom she's asking you something answer her.

Josephine: Yes I knew about their affair since long infact it started because of me I asked him to do it.

Mia: Mom please stop trying to take his back he cheated on yo-

Josephine: No Mia he didn't

Mia: What? She asked in surprise and disbelief

Josephine: When I got to know that I'm sick and that it can not be cured I thought I'd try my best to stay alive for a little longer with all the medicines and treatments so I asked your father that it would be better if he gets married again. After all he needs someone by his side too.

Carter: That is what we're here for mom, to stay beside him.

Josephine: This is different son you won't understand it. When you fall in love with someone someday you'll understand why I did what I did.

Mia: This is all bullshit mom I'm not buying any of this.

She said and stormed out of the room. She took her car and went to a club and called her friends. Except for Janet and Davinia the other two girls met up with Mia.

At the club:

Mia was sitting on the bar counter and the doors opened revealing Patricia and Chastity....

"Do you have any fucking idea how worried we were?" A voice came from behind Mia so she turned and the next thing she knows she got a hug from Chastity "Oh ok" Mia broke the hug "I'm sorry I worried you guys" they both sat beside her on the counter. Mia felt a bit nervous as she didn't see the other two girls. "Where are Janet and Davinia? Are they mad at me?" She asked "What! No you silly if all four of us were here who'll cover for us, they stayed back" Patricia replied "But seriously where do you disappear to? Nobody can get a hold on you how can you do that?" Chastity asked Mia "Well it's simple just ignore all the calls go to a place with less population coz less the amount of people, less interactions and less drama and clear your mind, that's it" she replied "You made it sound easy but it's not" Chastity commented and they laughed "So how are things at home?" Patricia asked "Bad" was all Mia could say "What about school are, people talking about me?" She asked "They always talk about you but if you mean after you disappearing for 3 days, then yes they are, they think your dead" Patricia joked but Mia took it seriously "What?" "I'm kidding! No they are not who'd dare" "Luke and his minions" Chastity replied and received a glare from Patricia "Don't look at her like that, she's telling the truth" Mia sighed and after alot of chit chatting they planned to leave the club "We'll see you tomorrow at school right?" Patricia asked before leaving "Yes I'll pick you guys up as usual" Mia replied she saw as her friends leave the club she took one last sip from her drink and left the club.

As Mia left to her car she could feel someone following her, she turned to see who it was but there was no one but she was sure someone was there. She did get a bit paranoid but she stepped in her car and left. Weird she thought and drove out the parking lot.
