chapter 4

Alex is in the kitchen and preparing breakfast for both of them and singing a song as he cooking with joy full voice " ooooo .... My love ... Don't leave me behind ... I can't live without ....uuuuuuuu" as Bella comes in kitchen from hall and lean on door of kitchen and started laughing and said " omg when did you become a singer " looking at him

Alex slightly smiled and looks back at Bella before he able to say anything he noticed that Bella wearing his favourite hoodie and then looks back at their food

Bella noticed that and said with apologatic look on her face " I'm sorry ... I don't have any clothes , so without asking you ..._" Alex cuts her in mid and said with amusing smile on his face " no no what are you saying you looking beautiful , after wearing my hoodies " then Bella meets his gaze and said teasingly " so last night I looked ugly...."

Alex stopped looking at Bella and said " no no I didn't mean that ... I mean .... " And starts scratching his back of his neck , Bella laughs and said " hey it's ok , I'm just teasing you " then Alex laughs nervously and said " let's eat something " after their breakfast Bella said to Alex " I will do the dishes " with soft smile on her face

Alex said "fine " but Bella already in the kitchen and started doing dishes , Alex smiled softly and come close to door and opens slowly walks towards his gate and looks everywhere but his neighbourhood is empty no buddy out side of their house expect Alex then suddenly he saw one soldier running on the front of the road and he is heavily injured

He tired from running and drops on the ground front of Alex house , Alex hide behind his front wall and then he is about to speak Bella said from behind " what are you doing out here " Alex startled and said " Jesus Bella you almost gave me heart attack " and wipes his sweat from his forehead and the gestures Bella to direction of injured soldier

Bella said with worried look on her face " omg is he still alive " then Alex said " I don't know" then they both started walking towards the fallen soldiers as they goes to close he said " Don't come the road kids it's not safe , go to your home's " as he started standing up but unable to get up then Alex comes forward and helps him to sit and said to Bella " Bella quickly go get the medical box " and Bella nods and started running towards house but Soldier shouts and said " No don't help me , if you helped me and they saw me with you guys ,the surely kill both of you "

Alex said in confused look on his face " they ? " Then soldier said in panic voice " plz guys listen to me go to your house and no matter what don't come out , hurry up they are probably here " and pushes Alex back Alex gets up and said " are you sure ? " And looks back at Bella and Bella gives pleading look to Alex , then soldier smiled and said " thanks for looking out for me and remember don't come out " and nods to then

Both of them go towards direction of their homes then suddenly the hear loud vehicle voice from corner of street . Then Alex grabbed Bella's hand and pull her close and said " duck behind the walls we don't have time " then Bella nods and they both hide behind compound walls

Two car approaches beside injured soldier and stops then door swingly open and other soldier steps out of cars , probably 5 or 6 with heavily armed men's then one man comes forward towards the injured soldier and said " Gabriel , Gabriel , my friend Gabriel , long time no see " with evil smile on his face , then Gabriel said to that man "Ivan "with angry look on his face

Alex and Bella is still behind the walls and clearly able to hear their conversation then Bella started to frightening but Alex put his hand on her head and smiled then Bella closed here eyes tightly

Alex want to see faces of other people's so he slightly look from corner and saw Gabriel on the ground surrounded by soldiers everyone raised their gun at Gabriel expect one man

The man with scar on his left eye , and smoking cigar and looking in eyes of Gabriel it's Ivan , wearing black t shirt and army jeans an heavy boots , brown hairs , probably 6.1 or 6.2 ,

Then Alex again hide behind walls and takes deep breath and look at Bella and saw she still with closed eyes taking deep breaths

Then Gabriel shout's " You traitor " but one of the soldier kicks Gabriel on his head , then Ivan said to that soldier " how dare you to hurt my friend " and punches soldier in his gut

With one punch soldier kneels down on the ground and said " I .. sorry sir "

Then Ivan said to Gabriel " see we are still brother in arms " with smile on his face , then Gabriel started laughing and said " stop dreaming Ivan , I am not going to tell you where is Kai even if I die "

Then Ivan smile fades and he started kicking Gabriel and shouting with every kick " I will find Kai no matter what , do you get that you little peace of shit " with frastated voice then stops kicking him and crouched beside Gabriel and said again " I thought you are Kai that's why we attacked you , but ... But you fooled us " and takes Gabriel face in his hand and again said " why , why Gabriel we are brothers but you don't want to help me to find Stone and Kai " then Gabriel smiled softly and said

" you don't have to find them Ivan , you already know they both going to find you and kill you with their hands "

Ivan chuckels and said " I already captured stone , only Kai left "

After hearing stone is captured by Ivan , Gabriel tried to fight back but with loud bang Gabriel drops on the ground , then Ivan said to his soldiers "let's get the hell out here" and pass my order to other if they saw Kai " without hesitation kill him on the spot or else he will kill us all " after that they left

Then both go close to Gabriels body and Bella started crying as they saw Gabriel life less body then Alex touchs Bella's shoulder and said "Gabriel may be good guy we cannot let him leave like this" and step forward and started draging his body towards his house in his compound

Then he said "I have to bury him " Bella nods but before they able to do anything one zombie comes from behind but Alex didn't noticed him , as he close gap between Bella shout " Alex watch out " then Alex turn back and dive other side of ground now zombie miss his target Alex so his gaze fix on Bella then Alex gets up and take Bella's hand started running in the house and zombie started chasing them

Now Alex and Bella gets quickly in house and tried to close the door but zombie pushes his hand in the doors and keeps banging then Bella falls back and started shouting but Alex said to Bella " don't worry Bella nobody can hurt you as long as I am alive " and with shouting he pushed door with all his force and shut it and dropped on his knees

After seeing Alex like that Bella let's go her fears and quickly reach to Alex side and as taking Alex face in her hand said with worried look on her face " are ok ! You are not hurt right , do you want me to bring medical box "

then Alex smiled and said" it really hurts " then Bella said with panic expression " where is hurting plz tell me I will do anything to make sure it doesn't hurt any more " they locked eyes with each other after some time Alex said playfully " my heart is broken that's why it hurts " then Bella smiled and close eyes for few moments and slaps his shoulder and said " when did you start flirting with girls Alex " and they both started laughing

After some time around 11 am they started chit - chatting , asking each other how is there life is going so far then suddenly Bella falls silent , Alex realized what she thinking and said " I am sorry for your dad " with sad voice , Bella didn't said anything and looks away then again Alex said in low voice " I know you guys probably blaming my brother for your dad's death but I know my_ " Bella cuts him in mid and said " hey I never blame Tom , it's just my sister thinks he ran away from father leaving him all alone , I also want to know what's really happened there ? " Looking at Alex as if he knows the answer

Alex unable to meet her gaze then Bella confirmed that Alex knows something and said to Alex " plz Alex I want to know what happened to my dad , why Tom is in the car not with father why ? " and started crying

Alex said in comforting tone " plz don't cry , I will tell you everything but you have to promise me that you not going to tell your sister about this " then Bella gets angry and said " she also have right to know " then Alex said apologatic look on his face " I know but you guys have to understand Tom's feeling , why he is hiding everything from you ? "

Bella said angrily " so your going to take your brother's side ? " Alex frowns and said " no Bella if you knew everything you didn't say anything like this " then Bella said " tell me Alex "

Alex stops for some moments and said " first promise me " she said " no promises until I hear everything " then Alex said "fine" and started telling how her dad died and orders Tom to run but he didn't then he said he have take care of Sarah and everything else and about the Health of her father

After some time they both didn't say anything and then Bella wipes here tears and said " thanks Alex , I need some time alone , can I go to your room ? " Alex said " yeah sure go ahead " then without word Bella left Alex and goes upstairs , then Alex drops on sofa and starts thinking something

       Meanwhile

         "So everything is loaded" Mac said to Sarah , then she replied " yeah almost as she looks straight to other side of road where on the stone Tom is sitting looking up at the sky , Mac follow her gaze and smiled and said as stepping towards Tom to Sarah " it's good that we found this pick up truck at barn and now a small abandoned store " then Sarah smiled and lean on truck waiting for Tom and Mac comes back at highway for further jorney

Mac comes close to Tom and said with smile " how long we have to wait " Tom looks at man and jump down and stopped there for few moments

And starts walking towards truck but Mac said " stop there " and then said " I am done with you two " Tom looks confused and said " what ? "

Then Mac said in serious voice " how long are going to hide the truth from her kid " Tom looks back at Sarah and then steps forward towards Mac " I.... Don't want to " then Mac said " really Tom , Jordan is her dad "

Then Tom said angrily " then why he didn't tell his daughters the truth " Mac stops for some moments then replied " because he wanted that his daughters to be always happy "

   Tom said " that's what I'm doing right now" then Mac replied " no you are destroying his dreams Tom "

Tom started looking at Mac confused face then Mac signs and said " look son Jordan wanted to tell Sarah and Bella  and you after your marriage not before "

Tom said angrily " then why he tells me in that building that he had cancer  " , Mac said with concern look on his face " because you know why , it's only way left for him to save you "

   Tom started crying and starts wiping his tears " I don't want to live like this , he was my mentor at list ... He should have  told me earlier " Mac said again " you know someone said don't look back always look forward " then he stops and said " he is 2nd stage of cancer he knew what's future he has , that's why he chooses you to take care of Sarah " and step forward towards Tom and put hand on his shoulders and said " and what you did Tom you destroying his dreams , dreams about you and Sarah together "

Tom didn't say anything and turns around starts walking towards Sarah but stops and said to Mac " I will tell her when she is ready " then Mac nods and both of them comes close to truck

Then Mac said "hope in " with smile then Tom jumps on back of truck and sits and they started driving towards their home .....
