The Black Cat, Part One

Later that night, as the girls entered the apartment, Emi greeted them with a warm smile.

"Welcome back, you two. Everything go smoothly?"

Asuka nodded, offering a small smile in return.

"Yeah, we're good. Thanks, Emi. Have you eaten yet?" 

"Uh, no." 

"I'll whip something up then," Asuka replied. 

"Thank you!" 

Apparently, the way to Emi's heart was through her stomach, because all Asuka had to do was cook a few meals for her over the last week and Emi was treating her like a lifelong friend. 

Asuka walked in. Zenith and Emi went to Zenith's room, as per usual, while Asuka went into the room next door, where she'd basically moved in. 

"So, why doesn't Asuka sleep with you, Zenith?" she teased, her tone playful.

Zenith's cheeks flushed slightly at the question, but she maintained her composure.

"We're just not like that," she replied, her voice calm but firm.

Emi raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued.
