Chapter 81 Phantom Wolves

Rasner frowned. Killian seems too relax for someone who's being cornered. With the number of wolf riders surrounding him, even the orc king cannot leave unscratched. There is only a few kings that can escape from this.

They are the king of the strongest kingdom, the ogre king Galnmash and the king from the second strongest kingdom, the troll king, Reskker.

The ogre king Galnmash's strength is the strongest among the nine kingdoms. He is said to be slaughtered the whole army singlehandedly before.

The troll king, Reskker is the most powerful dark mage in the nine kingdom. Dark mages are very troublesome to fight against and Reskker is considered to be the strongest of them.

If you are cursed by his dark magic, there is no one in the nine kingdoms that can cure you. The only thing you can do is wait for your death painfully.

They are the only kings that the orc king is interior to. There is a saying that Galnmash's strength and Reskker's magic are the two things everyone has to avoid in their life.

High level powers are valued among the kingdoms. Inside or outside of the dungeon, they are the most important assets for war. The armies are strong but high level single power is more valued. The main reason is the whole army cannot fight at the same time.

Soldiers from the back have to wait for the front to fight or there will be cross fires. Unlike in the game, friendly fire is possible in the real life.

However for powerhouses, they can show their full might and if the situation is not good, they can retreat more easily. Unlike them when an army retreats, there will be disarray and more losses will occur.

Thats why the powerhouses are feared by many people. Every kingdom will accept if a powerhouse wants to join them and they will always be respected by the mass.

Rasner had a bad feeling. However he cannot back down. He has his duty as a warrior to bring victory for his kingdom. After the wolf riders surrounded Killian, Rasner stepped forward.

"I'll hold him. You guys attack him together and kill him."

Rasner said to the wolf riders. As he walk, his body become bigger and bigger. Long hairs started to grow all over his body. The already big body become more massive.

The giant claws on his hand seems sharper than that of swords. There's also a tail behind his back. Rasner completely turned into a giant werewolf. His body is five times bigger than before. Its like a giant elephant standing.

Killian raised his brows.

"Turning into an animal, isn't that the ability of demi-humans and beastmen?"

Killian was puzzled. However since there are already many differences between the game and this world, it doesn't seems very surprising anymore.

At that moment, Rasner jump towards Killian and smashed Killian. His speed is very fast despite the massive size. Killian dodged using shadow travel. He blended into the shadows and appeared in another location.

'Boom!'

A loud sound appeared from after Rasner attack. However there is nothing under his claws. Rasner was surprised. He never seen this kind of ability before. However he continued to attack without hesitation.

"You have many tricks up your sleeves. But you have to die today."

Rasner roared and attack. Every attack of his was earth shaking. Its like a giant rampaging.

Even outside the dungeon, this kind of power is very strong. It can considered the same tier with a swordmaster.

"I take back the sentence that this dungeon world level is lower than the outside world."

Killian said. Rasner is like a mini-boss in this dungeon. However that doesn't change anything. It was still easy for him. Even Lukia and Devlian can easily defeat this beast.

Despite many attacks, Rasner didn't hit Killian even once.

"What are you doing! Attack him together."

Rasner turned to his wolf riders and shouted. The wolf riders regain their consciousness from the shock. They were too shocked from Killian's skills earlier. After Rasner yelled at them, they rush toward Killian.

"Futile efforts."

Killian dodged Ranser's attack and raised his hand. Shadow spikes emerged from the shadows of the wolf riders like spears and stabbed them. The spikes penetrated both the wolves and the riders.

"No!"

Rasner roared in disbelief. Wolf riders are elites among the orcs. Each one of them is valuable war assets. They are basically trump cards of the orc kingdom.

In the whole orc kingdom there are only about a thousand wolf riders. They sent three hundred wolf riders to this battle. If they lost all of them here, it will be a huge blow to the orc kingdom.

Normal orc warriors can easily replenish. However wolf riders are not. Training a wolf rider takes a long time. Unlike players, the orc kingdom cannot just summon them back with essences.

And now, these orc elites were being chopped down like grass. There are pain and regret in Rasner's heart. The orc kingdom had trusted him with the mission to claim the demi-human kingdom's resource point.

However not only his mission is about to fail, even the wolf riders that the kingdom entrusted him with are dying. He doesn't think even he would be able to walk out from Killian's hands alive.

It only took a few seconds for the last wolf rider to die. The wolf rider squad had been completely wiped out.

"No! Impossible!"

Rasner eyes were blood red. He roared and attack Killian with madness. He slamed down his giant claws towards Killian. However Killian activated the chaos barrier and guarded himself.

The giant claws struck the barrier. But it cannot break through. Rasner roared loudly. Dozens of wolf shaped phantoms emerged from his body. These wolf shaped phantoms moved and attack Killian.

Killian sneered. If for the others phantom attacks might be annoying and lethal. However chaos energy and death energy can counter the phantom attacks.

Using those energies are something Killian is good at. Using phantom attack against him is like drowning a fish in the water. The phantom attacks cannot pass through his chaos barrier.

"Impossible! Why aren't you dying!"

Rasner's eyes were blood red. His attacks are not dealing any damage to Killian. For Rasner, the phantom wolves are his final trump cards. It can ignore most defenses and directly attack the target.

Each phantom wolf is directly linked with him. The number of phantom wolves indicates the level of his strength. Rasner gained his title 'Wolf Champion' because of this.

There are only a handful of people in the nine kingdoms that can successfully block his phantom wolves. For example it would be the troll king Reskker. After all the dark magic can fight the phantoms.

But most of the times, his enemies would try to end the battle quickly before the phantom wolves can deal much damage. However in front of Killian, his trump card is completely useless.

Killian smiles and shot a thin chaos beam. It directly penetrate through Rasner's giant werewolf body and towards his heart.

"Ugh!"

The phantom wolves floating around Rasner slowly faded.

"Re...retreat!"

Rasner turned to his army and gave his final order in his last breath. After that he fell.

"It seems there will be a new demi-human king and also one of the strongest king among the nine kingdoms."

Rasner weakly said and closed his eyes. The orc champion, one of the pillars of the orc kingdom had lost his life.

When Rasner died, the whole orc army turned around and retreated. Panic and fear made them broke their formation and the orcs run away in disarray.

"Commander should we chase them?"

A demi-human soldier asked.

"Chase them yourself if you want to."

The demi-human commander scolded the soldier. The orc army had retreated because of Rasner's death and Killian's power.

Even without Rasner and wolf riders, the orc army can still defeat the demi-humans in the camp. If not for Killian, they would not retreat.

Chasing them is not a wise choice. This is already the best result for them. He has to minimize more losses. They have to wait for the reinforcements from the main army.

"It seems there will be a huge change among the nine kingdoms."

The demi-human commander sighed deeply and looked at Killian.

A new hero has emerged!
