Zombies at the door

"You know you guys are very lucky to have me," Don continued to brag about himself. The rest at the back were quiet, with Kia just observing how easily he switched emotions.

Sarah shook her head. "I can't believe I'm stuck in a zombie apocalypse with a former car thief," she muttered loud enough to be heard by Don.

He laughed again. "Someone's got to keep us alive. I'm not just a car thief, but also a survival expert." He sounded so confident in himself. The engine roared to life, and he turned, grinning at the rest of the group. "See? Told you I could do it."

The group breathed a collective sigh of relief, but just then, Logan came sprinting back to the SUV. "We need to get out of here, now!" he shouted and jumped into the back seat.

"What happened?" Sarah asked, only for her question to be answered when a zombie smashed into the side of the SUV, its moans echoing through the vehicle as it tried to claw its way in.
