The Abdication

With Sufiyan's sudden passing the rule over the entire nation automatically fell into the hands of Saad, immediately Saad was cornered and the revolutionaries began diplomatic talks with Saad regarding his abdication

Ashhad : alright Saad, we don't wish you or the Kingdom any harm.

Zulqarnain : Sufiyan's rule brought untold miseries on the people of Ortania.

Hussnain : if we let you continue to rule Ortania, their's little hope, that people will listen to you let alone follow you.

Saad remained silent as Ashhad continued saying

Ashhad : we want this suffering to end Saad and I'm sure you'll be more cooperative than your predecessor.

Hussnain said in a more aggressive tone

Hussnain : you have to be, otherwise you'll end up just like him.

Ashhad : let me speak Hussnain.

Ashhad walked up to Saad and said with a smile

Ashhad : it's not over yet, we can still make things better.

finally Saad asked

Saad : how do I know that you won't execute me after I give you all the power?

Ashhad : only a mentally sick person would derive pleasure from the suffering of another.

Zulqarnain : Saad we'll let you go no strings attached, consider it a new start like waking up from a bad dream.

to this Kainaat intrusively said

Kainaat : your telling him that he's been through a nightmare, Zulqarnain people like him don't deserve a second chance.

Saad : ever heard of forgive and forget?

Kainaat : I will niether forgive nor forget what you did.

Saad : see Ashhad, it's people like her that I fear, even if you are just, she will never forgive me.

Kainaat : mistakes are forgiven not crimes.

Ashhad turned to Kainaat and said

Ashhad : Kainaat please let me talk.

Kainaat backed off but her hate for Saad remained unphased, Ashhad turned back to Saad and said

Ashhad : I've presented my argument Saad, now all I need is your approval.

Humzah : the country's going through a tough time only radical reforms can save us from a civil war.

Ashhad held Saad's hands and said

Ashhad : let us rebuild our nation.

Saad replied in a distraught tone

Saad : promise me you'll leave me alone when all this is over.

Ashhad : promise.

Saad : come to the dining room, I wish to speak privately with you.

Ashhad : very well.

Saad left the room as Ashhad said while going behind him

Ashhad : we're in the dining room, see ya'll in a minute.

the two men negotiated a positive outcome while the rest of the friends gathered outside the dining room, finally the doors opened and out came walking Ashhad and Saad, Ashhad was smiling but Saad seemed a bit upset as Kainaat walked up to Ashhad and asked

Kainaat : so what happened?

Ashhad : he agreed to abdicate on the condition that we won't bother him.

Kainaat : don't tell me you accepted his proposal?

Ashhad : it was a great deal.

Kainaat : Ashhad, he did treason against the nation, we should atleast give him a minor punishment.

Ashhad : Kainaat, Saad was just following orders, he was just a pawn in a chess game and now it's all over, Saad has promised to stay out of state affairs as long as we don't bother him.

Saad walked upto Ashhad and said

Saad : I've signed the abdication notice, the crown is in the throne room.

Saad went to the throne room and the friends followed him, their it was the golden crown as Saad walked up to the throne and while looking at it said

Saad : he who sits on this throne will either make history or become a part of it.

Saad looked back at Ashhad and said

Saad : take care of our nation Ashhad.

Saad began to leave as Ashhad said

Ashhad : you know, I can still allow you to live here as a honorary minister.

Saad looked back at Ashhad and with a smile uttered the following words

Saad : I served a sheep in a wolf's clothing, it's impossible for me join the lion's gang.

Saad turned around and continued leaving, he stopped at the last second and said

Saad : oh and whoever amongst you becomes minister of law and relations, do me a favor and revoke my citizenship, I don't deserve to be called an Ortanian anymore, farewell.

after saying this Saad left and although he was no longer king he earned the title of not only Ortania's but also the shortest reigning king in the history of Rise and Fall.
