Chapter 1Abnormal Gathering l

"Good Morning"*

"Keep up the good work"

"Have dinner today at our house,"

"Mister Hero! You were looking extraordinary while fighting…. Please teach me how to fight and use magic…"

[ All these are the get-go words which I hear every day morning from my fellow country mates… These words and their merry expressions flutter my heart enough that I can work all day recalling them ]*Ray.

I waved and greeted everyone near me, and then I headed towards the palace. They called me this morning to the palace to escort the first princess Freima to neighboring town Rigiz.

"Ah! There he is," exclaimed my best friend Keigo (Keigo Sagazar, also known as the Fire hero) while jumping on me from the floor above.

SFX--- BAAAAM!

"Waaah!," I yelled in pain while he sat on my belly. He began stripping me in a panic in front of other heroes and maids to check for any wounds on my body. After a thorough check ending with no visible wounds, he took a deep breath and calmed down. Then he noticed something on my face.

"What happened to your face? Do you have a cold? ," asked Keigo after seeing my red face flustered in shame.

"Get off me, you Idiot…. ," I shouted while throwing him away and I wore my clothes while the surrounding people were laughing at my unsightly appearance.

[ Most of the surrounding heroes are jealous of my increasing popularity, so they always make fun of me around others or pick needless fights, which I reject every time. I have high self-control, which has allowed me to not lose my temper even in the worst situations (including when they mixed sand in my soup, made holes in my clothes, and stole my sword Lugnia). But sometimes they appeared friendly (when I paid the bar bill)]*Ray.

I once again entered the main hall fastening my belt tighter than before and bumped into Keigo.

"Why did you go hunting those high-level monsters alone? You should have called me too….. Even though they were weak against fire, you had no chance of winning if they all pounced on you at once."

"Sorry! Sorry! It was all chaos, so I had no time to call for help. I knew it would have been hard if they pounced at once, but you know it was a kind of gamble and I won….. AHAHAHA!" I continued.

"You know I also got a high-level drop item….. (SFX-- PATTT) WAHHH!, " once again, I yelled in pain since Urg (Urg Daelom is also known as the Jade hero) slapped my head.

"You do not have to sacrifice yourself for some petty humans, You Bonehead," snapped Urg.

[Urg's major goal as a hero is to find the Monster which killed his family and for a reason he doesn't trust any human or living being…. Not even his horse. After, through a lot together, he finally trusts me or at least seems to….]*Ray.

As we continued chatting, I suddenly remembered the escorting job so I had to rush towards the stairs and none of the two asked the reason I panicked so I kept quiet and climbed the first floor. There awaited for me the Prince Grozo and the second Princess Hannah.

For a moment it looked as if they exchanged glances, but then Princess Hannah held my hand and escorted me to the main hall with the Prince behind me with a grinning look.

"Wait! Stop! I have to meet Princess Freima…. I am already late"

Even after saying that no one took notice of anything I said, and once again I was the center of attention while both the prince and princess took hold of one of my hands. Everyone was murmuring something and grinning silently, also Keigo and Urg were present there themselves. Something was wrong… I panicked, the curtain on the first floor rose and everyone's attention shifted towards the curtain. There appeared the enchanting Princess Freima.

She approached the golden guard rail and stared at me.

"It appears the protagonist of today's event has arrived so let's start the Judgement… "

[Ah! What did I do now? As for everything I remember I did nothing wrong so what is this judgment….Now that I think of it from the starting everyone was glaring at me abnormally, I thought it was because of what Keigo did but I guess it's not….]Ray.

SFX--- Bdump Bdump...Bdump Bdump.....Bdump Bdump.....Bdump Bdump...

This moment my heartbeat was audible to the naked ear, as I eagerly awaited for Princess Freima to continue….

--{ END PRISON} -- (( S rank spell ---- Can only be used by the royal family

- Immobilize organisms with lower magical power

- Takes 2 minutes 30 seconds to activate (Without Royal ornament) (1/2 the time with Royal ornament))

Was used on me and I didn't even notice. I understood something bad was going to happen soon.

" I guess you have no words to speak on behalf of yourself since everyone already knows, So let me end this judgment with….,"

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
