Chapter 46

　　“We’re fucked,” said Lucas, pacing up and down his office.

　　“Yep, pretty much,” agreed Dane. “This isn’t a good sign. Nobody ever gets summoned to the Alpha King for tea and biscuits.”

　　“Plus, it’s going to take like seven hours to get there. What a massive pain in the dick that is.”

　　“Seven hours? Pfft, if you go by car, maybe.”

　　“How else would you get there?”

　　“The open sea, my landlocked friend. Just over two hours in a straight line across the ocean and we’ll be there.”

　　“Do you know anybody with a boat that size?”

　　Dane gave him a quizzical look.

　　“You do realise you’re the Alpha of a pack with nautical warriors? The Cape didn’t just have an army, we had a navy too. I’m sure we can find a spare boat.”

　　Lucas laughed at his own stupidity. The Alpha King’s message had rattled him and he wasn’t thinking straight. He also realised he needed to spend more time with the Cape Point people. He effectively had a navy at his disposal, and had never even considered it.
