After that Xinyan tried on the clothes and shoes that were bought just for her.

Yinan and Yue would compliment her with each outfit she tried on.

He also bought things like bangles, necklaces and hair pins that were suitable for the heiress of the Mu family. Shen Yue's face fell when she noticed none of the pieces were from her brand. He was upset with her, wasn't he ?

He also bought more accessories, skin care and hair care products that he thought would suit her.

Xinyan was very happy. This was how it felt to be doted on by ones parents. It was amazing, though a part of her was still afraid to get used to it after what happened today. She tried as much she she could to hide it. It was better to focus on the present happy moments.

Shen Yue explained to Xinyan what she should wear for what occasion and what goes well with what, while the help arranged the items neatly in the dressing room and dressing table cupboards, then Xiner came into the room and saw all the things her father bought for her 'sister'.

Mu Xiner was so angry, upset. A scowl was visible on her face and she saw Xinyan's pretty dressing room getting filled up with nice things that were only for her.

She wondered, why was the girl brought home ? Was she the illegitimate daughter of her dad? Was her mum being forced to treat her right? That's why Grandma doesn't like this girl right? Jealousy has creeped in and corrupted her mind.

She already didn't like the way everyone rushed to worry about this girl and the girl had gotten many new things all personally bought by HER father! That's right, HER father.

Previously, she was feeling a bit guilty that this girl couldn't come with them to the mall when she noticed how slightly upset her mother felt through out the shopping trip, but now she just felt angry.

"Father you didn't get me anything but you bought her all these new things" she said with a pout.

"Oh my princess father completely forgot you have to forgive father Alright. I'll get you something special too later ".

Mu Yinan gently coaxed her.

"How could you forget me but remember her ? You don't usually forget me before she came"

Mu Yinan frowned and was about to say something when Shen Yue interrupted him quickly.

"Xiner, you went shopping yesterday and got everything you wanted, you basically don't need anything more right ? Don't make a fuss. If there still something you want, your Father and I will get it for you okay ?"

Shen Yue quickly interjected. Xiner was quick to retort, she wasn't satisfied, she wanted what this stranger girl had too.

But just before she could, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Shen Yue said .

"Sir , madam the teacher you called is here"

Butler Yang said

"We'll be right down "

"Yes master" The butler bowed and left

"Xinyan let's go down, I need the teacher to test you to see your academic level"

"Alright father " Xinyan really didn't see it as a problem. She hoped she'd do well. She knew if she didn't, she'd have to trouble her parents again.

Mu Yinan left the room with My Xinyan, but didn't forget to rub Xiner's hair and cheeks. In s comforting way. He put his hands on Xinyan's shoulders and walked out with her in tow.

After they left Shen Yue talked to her daughter.

"Xiner, you must treat Xinyan well. I know you don't want to share our love, but she's your sister and you should try your best to get along with her. If you can't at least try not to show it to everyone else, we are a family and should be united"

Shen Yue held her little hands and looked into her eyes.

"Okay mum" Xiner sighed and agreed, she wouldn't upset her mother because of that girl.

Mu Yinan and Mu Xinyan, went downstairs and the teacher was already sitting down on the couch talking with father Mu.

"Teacher Bei it's nice to see you "

"Yinan it's nice to see you too "

"It's been so long, this is my daughter Xinyan, greet teacher"

"Good day teacher" Xinyan greeted the aged man, who was short and had strips of gray hair on his head, he gave off a calm scholarly vibe, but also gave off a stern gaze that made one want to sit appropriately and check it they looked good enough.

Teacher Bei didn't ask about Xinyan's origins, he was Mu Yinan's private teacher when he wasn't doing well in his studies when he was younger.

"Is this the girl you've been talking old friend?" teacher Bei said pointing to Xinyan

"Yes" Father Mu said with a smile.

He had been briefing Teacher Bei just now on how she had never attended a proper school and how her grades weren't the best but they still wanted the best for her. Coming up with all sort of excuses, because Father Mu expected her to do very badly.

"Alright dear, I'll give you 4 tests one on math, English, language and a general paper on the other subjects, do you understan? " he said as he started bringing out the test papers.

"Yes teacher"

He gave her a pen and she started doing the tests in front of everyone, starting with Math. Father Mu, Mu Yinan, Mother Mu & Shen Yue were all silent while she was doing the test.

A servant brought snacks and they carefully ate and watched from the living room as she did the papers on the dining.

It took 3 hrs before she was done with all of them.

Afterwards, Teacher Bei showed a look of surprise as he marked her English papers. It was as if the girl has stayed in an English speaking country!

The math was wonderfully done and the language was above average but not too high. But this looked disappeared from his face, when he marked the general papers.

"So what are the results " Father Mu asked anxiously, he was curious about what she would get. Especially due to the sudden change in expression on Teacher Bei's face.

Before Teacher Bei could reply, Father Mu had already turned to look at Xinyan who was now sitting in the living room, perhaps maybe she could be homeschooled?

This child was still a little shameful to be shown to the public right now.

Mother Mu had an iconic 'told you so' look on her face. She looked a little proud.

"Well old friend, I'm scoring her over 20. In English , I'll give her full 20 marks, in math 19 marks and in language 18. In general studies I'm scoring over 40 and she got 35 marks! As expected of the Mu family, this child is brilliant!"

"Well that's an amazing result" Mu Yinan was happy and proud of such a brilliant daughter. Father Mu was astonished, did this girl really not attend school he thought to himself

"But Yinan in the general sciences, she failed all questions related to computer so we are going to have to tutor her properly on how to use a computer. Apart from that, I dont think she needs any help. She is far better than students who have attended the best schools. I'm sure the only reason she failed the computer questions was because she hasn't been properly exposed to a computer. She is a true genius! " Teacher Bei said .

"As expected from a child from the Mu family" Father Mu was happy. His earlier scepticism, no where to be found. They really did not make a mistake bringing her into their home.

Xinyan beamed from ear to ear. First she had been doted on today, now she knew what it felt like to have parents who were very proud of her. She had agreed in her heart to do better in her studies once she starts school and continue to make her family very proud.
