Change of Fate

As Reed enters the meeting room, he doesn't bother with pleasantries as the bulk of the people in the room holds him in disdain. The only people he could talk to were too busy talking about battle plans, and the only people not here were the Ezail.

After a few minutes of waiting the Ezail arrives and takes their seats. Everyone takes their seats after, and the meeting begins. There are a few updates dealing with a complaint, and then everyone gets down to business, and master Winchester takes the floor.

"I have found what I can only describe as a miracle herb. It will give an explosive amount of help in one's cultivation in the most basic terms it can make a 1st layer body tempering cultivator become a 1st layer qi or magic refining expert in a single sitting. "

All the general's were astonished, at which was a 10 layer jump and so quickly, but Reeds uncle asked, "If the jump in cultivation is so big, what about one's foundation will it not become shallow?" Winchester replied with."The herb also helps stabilize one's foundation, so there are no problems." As Winchester continues to gush about this new herb, all the general's are looking at this with shining eyes. The other master at the meeting is telling Winchester how he is a genius and that this herb should be sent to the empire as soon as possible.

"Excuse me."

With those quiet words, Reed got the attention of the entire room his uncle and cousin have ugly looks, and master Winchester looks like he wants to kill him, but doesn't say anything Reeds father on the other hand asks "Is there a problem master Getlset." Reed takes a deep breath and asks Winchester."May I see the plant in question?" Winchester has a look on his face that says what? Reed elaborated, "I have been studying a herb with the same property's as the one master Winchester has talked about. I just wanted to make sure the herb that I was going to present to the general's was not the same herb." Now master Winchester looked worried, and Reed, seeing this, was curious what is it that worries him?

Winchester pulled out a plant and placed it on the table saying this is the herb, and I call it Mereden herb, which is ironic since Mereden is the name of the father of alchemy regardless, Reed picks the herb up with heavy gloves, something that everyone took note of and examines the herb and lo and behold it is dragon miasma just as Reed thought after confirming that he tells the others "Master Winchester is right about the abilities of this herb I have studied this herb since we got here and I have come to the same conclusions." After he said that, his uncle looked insufferable with a smug look Winchester had a relived and also a look that said gotcha and master Eldmond the other alchemist looked like he was looking forward to the praise and accomplishments of this venture however oddly enough Crystal looked at Reed with a raised eyebrow as if she knew something else was about to be said and she was right.

"However, there is one problem with this herb." but they weren't listening they were still immersed in their fantasy, but the next words turned it into a scorching nightmare."This plant has dragons bane in it." Everyone stopped the Ezail however, looked curious looks like they were never told. Reed uncle came out of his stun fighting. "You ignorant ungrateful brat, how dare you try to..." but he never got to finish. Reeds' father got up, unsheathed his sword, and rammed it deep into the table till only the pummel could be seen, then he screamed "You ignoramus do you think it funny to talk lightly about dragons bane because I will tell you now I will be ordering the whole wing to not use this herb and I'm ordering right now that if I find out that any of it finds its way to the empire I will execute all those involved do I make myself perfectly clear?"

This has got to be the first time Reed has seen his father scream at anyone, and the look on his face made him believe that this is a man that has killed before and he will do as he threatened. Also, this is the first time Reed has seen an absolutely terrified look on his uncles face. However, he schooled his face and said calmly "Look we don't have any proof there is dragons bane in the herb so." So they want proof do they after realizing that Winchester knew about the dragons bane Reed had an idea "Well you are right general so I have an idea since he champions it so much why don't we have Master Winchester prove it's safe by using it himself after all he says it's safe." Now Winchester is panicking, and both Reeds Father and Crystal are both looking with narrowed eyes, but Reeds uncle speaks up "Ha if all you need is proof the I'll give you it my wing and general Mosif's will use the herb and what about you general Goldman." General Goldman rubbing his chin and said,"Though I don't know who is right or wrong, I'll let the others in our wings make that decision." A true none answer if Reed has heard one but Reeds father speaks up "Master Reed by your calculations how long before dragon slayer sickness sets in." Reed, knowing his father used his title to make the others know that this is an order from him.

"If used regularly every day about 1 month if used a little sparingly 3-6 months." After Reed said that the meeting looked like it was going to end, Reed had one more thing to bring up."General Martin, there is one more thing." With that, everyone that was about to leave turned back. "What is it, Alchemist Master Reed." OK, now Reed knows his father is mad, but he says."General, I think you have forgotten how our people deal with the monster riots." Reeds' father crossed his arms. "Oh, then would you enlighten us Master Reed." Reed stepped up to his father and said. "Our knights don't hide behind walls they attack the monsters nests."

At those words, Reeds father started laughing. "Yes, you're right, but because this is a new world, we have forgotten that Crystal we will now command our wings on a hunt we have 6 days let's see how many nests we can destroy before the monster riot." However breaking her silence, princess Aiolta asks what they mean, and Reeds' father explained that before the monster riot, they will destroy the nearest nests, which will make it so there are fewer monsters attacking after that everyone went on their way.
