happy birthday

Again, waking up in a bed more comfier than most of the others he had slept in, is a fairly weird yet not unwelcome feeling. 

Opening his eyes and yawning, he brings his hand up to scratch his chin, which has been growing small snubs of hair.

"...man,I really need to shave." He says to himself before sitting up and rubbing his eyes before walking to the bathroom.

BANG

The door to his room gets kicked down then a very familiar voice speaks out. "Fuuujiiii!!! Happy Birthday!!"

Fuji deadpans and looks towards the door. "What are you doing here, Gojo."

"It's your birthdayyyy! So we came to celebrateeee!!" 

Megumi raises his hand. "I never volunteered for this."

"I would like to say that I have better things to do." Nobara says while having her arms crossed, Gojo is still holding the back of both of his two student's shirt collars.

"..." Fuji sighs before throwing his hands up in defeat and walking into the bathroom.

"Yayyyy!!!" Gojo says in a childish tone.

"I had plans to go to the mall, Gojo-Sensei." Nobara says, freeing herself from the clutches of Satoru Gojo.

Megumi groans. "I don't wanna be here."

"Well don't worry my dear students! We're just here to wish Fuji a happy birthday, give a couple presents, eat some cake and hang out all day long!" Gojo shouts out with glee as Megumi just sighs and he raises his hands.

"WITH THIS TREASURE I SUMMON!!"

… 

Anyways

Megumi sighs. "Well let's get this over with." He says, watching Gojo pull a small wrapped card from his back pocket, before setting them on the bed, then pulling other presents from out of nowhere and sets them on the bed.

A few moments later, all four of the Second Year's come into the room. Fuji looks up and groans, visibly annoyed at the antics Gojo thought up.

"Gojo! What's the issue that you couldn't even deal with?!" Panda shouts.

Fuji bursts through the bathroom wall. "HOLY FUCKIN SHIT! IT'S A TALKING PANDA!" Fuji exclaims, absolutely dumbfounded at the recent turn in events.

Gojo smiles while putting up party decorations around the room. "It's Fuji's birthday! :D"

"You seriously called me all the way back from Africa, just for a Birthday party?" A boy says in a very, non amused way.

Gojo walks over and pats the boy on the shoulder. "Don't worry, my dear relative, I will explain everything to you laterrr!" Gojo rushes off and continues to put up decorations, the room is going to be very festive. "For now, it's time to partyyyy! :D"

"Salmon." A white haired boy says, agreeing to this arrangement while putting party hats on the others.

After a couple minutes Fuji walks out of the bathroom, his hair wet and a newly shaved face, he lets out a sigh of satisfaction. "Now, that was a good shower." 

….

Everybody looks at Fuji.

Fuji looks at everybody.

Everybody looks at Fuji.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?! AND IS THAT A TALKING PANDA?!" He points towards Panda who's talking to Maki. "Oh, hey Maki." He says casually.

"Hello Fuji." She says even more casually.

"Kelp." The white haired boy says as he waves while walking up to Fuji.

"Kelp?" Fuji murmurs, confused as to why the boy just said 'Kelp' as if it wasn't random, and was totally the most casual thing to say. 

He sighs as he looks around his room, taking note of the colorful individuals.

"Knock Knock. You gonna let me in?" 

Fuji hums, looking towards the window before hearing Hakari's voice. Hakari knocks on the window again and Fuji leaps over to the bed and opens the window so Hakari can jump in.

"Yo, happy birthday my man." Hakari says, putting his hand up for a fist bump, one Fuji responds in kind. "Got ya some stuff. Since you're 20 now." He says as he puts a couple small bags on the counter and looks around. "Oh, hey Gojo, Okkotsu, and the rest of you guys who are here for Fuji's party too…" He says, not really caring for the others all that much as he shows the invite to Fuji's room, clearly written by Gojo, before sitting down. 

"And nowwww…it's cake time!!!" Gojo shouts enthusiastically as he passes everyone out some cake. "First let's sing, everyone all together…"

Gojo then proceeded to sing the best happy birthday song your ears could ever be blessed with, only to stop when nobody else was singing. "Tough crowd." He says with a sigh while tugging softly at his coat collar.

Fuji shakes his head. "Let's just eat." Fuji says, looking at his plate, trying to figure out how to eat and keep his small paper plate from falling. 'Oh hey, this is Ice-Cream Cake… How the hell did Gojo keep this cold?' He wonders before someone rushes through the door, looking up he sees his other third year friend. "Oh, what's up Kirara?"

"Oh! Fu! Happy Birthday!" Kirara says, running up to sit between him and Hakari on the bed. "Sorry I'm late. I got held up on the train." They say with a sorry look.

"It's no biggie. Don't worry about it, Kirara." Fuji says, taking a bite of his cake.

"Hey Fu. What happened to your arm?" Kirara asks, silently thanking Yuta for handing them a slice of cake.

"Hm? Oh, that? Just the usual. You know, fighting a Special Grade curse that had one of Sukuna's fingers." Fuji takes another bite of his cake, swallowing before looking towards Yuta. "It's been what? A year? Since we last talked, right Yuta?"

Yuta looks up after a minute, "Who, me?" He asks, a little surprised, while pointing at himself.

Fuji deadpans, "Well yeah." He grabs another slice of cake. "What have you been up to?"

"I've been in Africa with Miguel for training. Originally we were looking for more of the Black Rope, though our attempts didn't pay off." Yuta rubs the back of his head. "We've also heard rumors of other powerful artifacts across Africa and towards Afghanistan." Yuta says before standing up to throw his plate in the trash.

"Speaking of Africa!" Gojo starts, dragging out his sentence before continuing in a playful manner. "Yuuutaaaa!" Gojo pats Yuta on the back. "You're going to have a new companionn!!!" Gojo says, throwing up a few peace signs while dancing around him.

"What?"

"I want you to take Fuji here to see if you can help him expand his arsenal." Gojo says, losing his childlike tone. "Fuji I may not like you father, but he was strong and even gave me a challenge. I want you to train and get stronger, strong enough to keep up with me." Gojo says, his voice going back to childlike and full of energy. "Present timeee!!! :P" Gojo says while tossing a box to Fuji.

"What's this?"

"It's from Me and Shoko." Gojo watches as Fuji rips off the paper and opens the box. 

"...A ticket?...Huh…" Fuji says as he reads it out loud. "'1 ticket for arm repair' from your loveable Satoru Gojo, and amazing Shoko Ieiri…" He cringes at the end of the card before letting out a sigh. "Well, thanks. I guess I'll head to her after this whole party, fiasco…" He puts the card back into the box when he sees something else. "What's this?" He asks as he pulls out a titanium baseball bat. 

"Oh! That's my second present for you, just something for you to use." Gojo says as he gets up off the couch and takes the bat. "You see, this is a very special bat." Gojo says as he throws his cup in the air and gets in a batter stance before swinging. 

Fuji sighs, expecting the cup to go flying into the wall, only for his mouth to fall open.

"See, upon contact, it freezes objects in place for up to ten seconds…" Gojo smiles. "And if you hit it again..." Gojo says as he brings his hand up and flicks the cup. "It keeps the momentum until after it unfreezes." He says as everybody watches the cup get launched into the trash can at the other side of the room. "And that's my present for you, Fuujii." Gojo says as he sits back down.

"Well, I didn't get you anything nearly as cool as that. But here." Yuta says while throwing a small bag over to Fuji.

"Hm? What's in this?" He asks as he opens it he pulls out a card that says happy birthday. Basic stuff. He opens the card and a 200 yen bill falls out and onto his lap. He puts the yen into his pocket before finding a box, upon opening it, he sees a ring. "Awww! What's this?" Fuji says, picking up the ring with a smirk. "You trying to propose to me or something? Because if so…then yes. Yes I do." Fuji says while trying to hold back a snort as Rika manifests and screams her head off.

Yuta sighs. "Sadly no." He says in a sarcastic tone before continuing. "It's a ring that Miguel found from a shop. He said it was a cursed tool, and I can feel cursed energy coming from it. All though we don't know if it has a cursed technique imbued onto it or not."

"Well Fuji…" Panda stands up. "That was some good cake but we need to go and prepare for the fight that's coming next month."

"Wait, what's happening next month?"

"Nothing, just the school tournament vs the other school in Kyoto." Megumi says while yawning a bit

"Yep. See you later, Fuji." Panda says as he and the other second years leave the room.

Inumaki nods. "Salmon." He says before waving and walking out with them. 

"Anyways, not that they're gone…" Kinji says as he hands Fuji a small card with a happy birthday written on it. "From me and Kirara." Kinji says while he watches Fuji open the card. Another 200 yen falls onto his lap. "Oh and here is this." He says as he tosses a pack of Camel cigarettes to Fuji. "Stop by the club whenever you want to hang out or fight." Hakari says as he pulls out a cigarette and lights it. "You don't mind do you?" He asks while taking a drag.

"Nah, do whatever." Fuji lights his own and takes a drag of his first legal cigarette.

"Ah, that's nice." Gojo says as he stands up and puts his hand on Fuji's shoulder. "We should probably get going before Shoko decides she doesn't want to heal your arm. So bye to your brother now." He says before walking away and drawing a circle on the ground then pushing Fuji into it and clasping his hands, teleporting Fuji away, before doing the same to himself.
