Alice’s POV
“Good day, Detective Alice.” This is what I aways get before I reach my office. From the entrance of the department, there were the security guards, but I prefer them to call my angels. Because they have been adding extra defense for us even it is also one of our jobs to protect one. I wonder how our life would be if we will just spend our whole life protecting people? I wonder if my colleagues have the same thoughts as mine, how about us?
Entering the department each day and hearing the telephones ring, is a normal thing for us to handle. Perhaps, we get used to something that can be worse than that, even some complaints that we did not expect to come to our table could possibly break our usual contact to others. I guess, it was not normal at all.
As I walk in the hallway, heading in the general office, I can see Chief Rylan walking towards me, but it seems that we were going in the same room.
