Alice’s POV?
I thought I could dodge a bullet in any of our past investigations. I could not deny it, but I was expecting to have more stretching for us officers. The pages we had to review during our sleepless nights have not actually been paid off. There were still some answers we needed to seek.?
I left the office around 12 in the afternoon after my duty in the department. I had to meet Rio for lunch.?
“Where do you want to eat?” The question I would usually ask with my complete initiative. But Rio has made a reservation for us in a nice restaurant a few miles away from our workplace. I remember how we had never planned lunch or dinner together before when we were still young, my mom would always pick up the phone to invite Rio and sometimes his mom for a delicious meal. Rio and his family have never been out of our guest list when there was an occasion. And I guess now, things have changed a lot, maybe us as well, we have become more mature and considerate.?
