Chapter 20
Before I went home, I got a text from my mom asking what time I would be going home. She had more than three missed calls and more than five messages. I am sure she heard the news since it was aired anywhere. The sixth time she called, I picked up the phone. "Hello, mom? I am so sorry I was not able to answer your calls. My phone's battery was dead. I just found an outlet near our location. Are you doing good there?" I answered. I knew she was sick worried about me. I can tell by the number of times she contacted me.
I told my mom that I would be going home late. I have some paperwork to do in my office, and most of my resources are in our mini-library. They were just easy to access for me.
