Chapter 17

　　Chief Rylan's POV

　　"How many bodies have you found?"

　　"Can you catch the killer?"

　　"It is like, you are not doing something!"

　　"Are we safe here?"

　　"Can we trust you?"

　　Those are just some of the things we could get before when I got appointed as the Chief of Police in the Verano Police Department. We could not do anything but keep on searching for the missing bodies, for clues, and a witness. But we cannot do enough. Our movements were getting slower as they should not be. The exhaustion was kicking in, but we had to push ourselves because it was our job, after all.?

　　We cannot blame the public for criticizing our progress because we do not simply let them know every move we are making. Not all information we have was meant to disclose. I guess that is what makes our job more difficult. Sometimes, we have to work silently not to trigger the enemies.?
