Finished Job

The door opened and a familiar face had appeared, they looked around the room a little with a surprised look on their face.

Not a single thing was out of place and there was a pleasant scent in the air which had left no lingering smell of blood or the body behind.

There was not even a bodybag or anything else laying somewhere on the floor to be ready for removal or disposal which had left him surprised. "This… how.."

Kimi coldly replied. "It is better for both of us to not go into my methods. The task is completed so may I leave?"

She did not want him prying into her secrets and she would not want to remain there for too long.

Being kept any longer would be troublesome since she had to get back to her home after going through a series of costume changes.

The less they knew about her, the better it was for her and the less she talked to them, the less likely it was for them to slip up somewhere and reveal anything that she should not hear.

The man had closed his mouth but he looked around carefully once again. "Mm.. okay."

Kimi asked cautiously. "Is there any security or monitoring devices in the building? If there is then I would like to see them destroyed. You should be aware that any little thing could come back to harm us."

The man pondered for a moment then replied. "No.. just on the front and back of the building."

Kimi nodded in response and kept explaining. "Since you have already paid and my services are completed then I will be leaving. If I were you and the person you serve then I would double check if there were any copies made or if it has yet to be destroyed.

There will be those that have witnessed the scene and could cause problems later so it would be best if you handle that yourselves. Just do not involve me unless you make another payment for cleaning up behind you.

Oh.. and any witnesses to any of this days events.. they need to keep quiet about all of it. If you can all do that then there should be no problems if you simply say that she did not return and has not contacted anyone."

Any kind of video or photo proof involving the entry and exit was enough to be used against any of those involved so it was crucial that they were all destroyed and could not be leaked out.

There would be shots of the woman who had entered the building and had yet to leave so it was best to remove anything that proved she had been there.

It was the same with the entry and exit that had caught any of their own movements or Kimi too.

There would have been some that had seen the body so it was unknown if they could keep quiet about it.

Even if they could be trusted due to their loyalty, they could still tell others depending on the situations they would be put into in the future.

They could feel guilt and come forward or they could just as easily brag or tell someone when they were not in a clear minded state.

There were others that may have seen the woman enter the building and knew that she was inside so it was just as important for them to be kept silent.

So long as they did not resort to brutal methods then a rich family could handle the problem with money and their power without exposing themselves.

One such method that was seen in her previous world was the method that lawyers used to settle cases.

Some settlements resulted in one side taking a money settlement and agreeing to no longer pursue a case or to change their statement.

Once they had accepted the settlement, they could no longer be used as a valid witness due to them being unable to take back their statement that had been signed with their signature along with the money turning up in their bank account.

Hush money would be the normal approach to take as a gag order would be put on anyone involved in the incident but depending on how they handled it, there could still be problems that could arise later.

Once Kimi had passed their boss who had sat drinking an alcoholic beverage in his seat, she continued past him and walked towards the door. "We never met and none of this happened."

The door opened up and she walked through it so that she could leave and follow the path that she had walked down.

Inside the building, the man in the seat had looked towards the closed door and said. "I do not trust outsiders.. follow."

The people around him had become active all of a sudden and started to leave the building in pursuit of her.

There was no order to harm or kill her but depending on how his words were interpreted, the result would be very different.

Kimi closed her eyes and spread out her Aura to sense around her, her red eyes opened and shone coldly behind her mask. "Tsk."

There were always those that did not trust in others no matter how well the other party had shown how capable or professional they were.

Kimi had given a little extra useful advice on how they should handle things next but it had still come back to them dealing with her first before they solved anything else.

Either she would be found somewhere far away dead in a ditch or she would be followed to find out more about who she was so that they could get something on her.

Upon sensing that they were in pursuit of her, the only option that she had was to run.

She was physically fit but could not outrun some more well trained adults but she had no choice but to pick up her speed as much as possible.

Her breathing had become heavier and she could sense their approaching presences behind her that were trying to remain within a certain range.

Kimi kept running forward and could start to understand that they had been following her and keeping an eye of her while trying to remain undiscovered.

Her running away just seemed like she was being extra cautious since she intended to put a lot of distance between herself and the crime scene.

They did not yet discover that she had found their presences and that they had been unable to hide themselves from her.

Kimi never once looked back or around herself so there was no opportunity to look towards them or to pick up on their movements.

Kimi took a turn and found herself at a small wall that had become a dead end with a large dumpster near it.

Her legs moved quickly as they approached the nearby wall and kicked off it with one foot to push herself up onto the large dumpster.

She pulled up her body and used it to reach the top of the wall, her body had dropped down the other side and landed smoothly.

There was little pause in her movements as she had heard footsteps coming closer to the wall behind her as some had attempted to climb over while others went around through another route.

After taking a couple of turns and keeping track of their presences, Kimi hid her small body as they had passed by her or took another route.

Once their presences had disappeared and had been led in another direction, she turned back and headed towards the specified location set by Old P while using her Aura to sense her surroundings and avoid others.
