Remnant: A Battle Within

“Don’t close your eyes or you all might miss the destruction of the world you cherished the most,” a seductive and cold voice echoed through the dark prison where captives were being kept. After the stars fell, the world of Prism was plunged into uncertainty and was in the verge of destruction because of a threat still unknown to its inhabitants. Powers started to manifest, a war that was brewing on the horizon and a threat moving in the shadows, these events will either break or create the world anew. And now fallen from grace, Orion must now come to terms with the chaos that was about to begin. Secrets of how it all began will be revealed. Schemes had been executed. Kingdoms had started to fall. But nothing is what it seems in a world where the known became unknown. Fate will continue its course and it doesn’t matter whether he likes it or not. Awakening

Flashes of the past that had long haunted him resurfaced. He thought he had forgotten about them but at the unexpected stimulation, everything came flooding in. Even the pain he thought he had forgotten came and pounded him that he thought his entire being was going to break.

He had felt numb and walked like everything was fine but deep inside he was wounded deeply and all throughout his journey, it did not heal not a little bit. This time the pain and grief were overwhelming that he eventually let go. He was so tired of pretending to be okay, he was so tired of this world that had taken too much from him, he was so sick of humanity who would stop to nothing in order to achieve their goal.

All Orion wanted to do was sleep and never wake up. He would rather sink into the abyss and rest with its eternal darkness than to force himself to keep looking up to the brightness of the skies. This time really he would let himself be free from all the emotions he once had.
