PROLOGUE

I was wearing a black pencil skirt below the knee and a button-up with rolled sleeves, pair with four inch stiletto. I wear a red lipstick that make me look fierce . Nathan my bodyguard/driver open the car door for me . I let my Porsche bag hang in my elbow.

Walking confidently to my office, all employees bow their heads. Why wouldn't they? I'm their boss. I am Bernadette Rubio the heiress of Rubio Chains of Hotel.

As I enter my office room I call my secretary. " Marco, can you give me my schedule for today?" He nodded.

"You have a conference meeting at the board room with the board of directors this morning Miss Rubio". That make me smile, finally I'm now the CEO. "Okay you can leave now thank you Marco".

As I meditated the phone rang. "Argh! Nuisance!". When I pick my phone it's Shawnel my boyfriend who's calling me, I thought someone is calling me.

[Hello]

[Hey, are you in the office?]

[Yes]

[How was it? Did you find boring haha]

[Definitely not]

[Oh, that's good to hear that. By the way, see you later at the board room. I heard you will now introduce as the CEO. Congrats in advance Babe.]

[Oh...thank you babe] I smirk.

[Alright, I'll hang up now. I love you take care.]

[Love you too.]

After that call. Marco enter the office for some paper for me to approve. He also ask me for coffee. But I refuse. Hour past that I need to go to the board room. With my bodyguard who always besides me.

As I enter the board room. People are gossiping. They probably can't believe that Atty. Antonio Rubio have a child. And that is me Bernadette Rubio a girl with intelligence, confident, class and bravery.

"Ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce to you our knew chief executive officer. The only daughter of late Atty. Antonio Rubio, Miss Bernadette Rubio".

Now it's my time to speak. " Among you here in the room may not know me yet. Well, I would like to introduce myself as the new appointed CEO of Rubio Chains of Hotel. I am thrilled to be here, and I'm exited about  many of things we'll be working on the near future." I smiled. "We have a great team here in Rubio and I am excited to build upon that team as we continue to develop Rubio hotels not just here in the Philippines but entire world. Our plan is to is to grow the team. Give our guest the satisfaction they need and continue our hospitality. My boyfriend Shawnel approach me first he congratulate me. He also introduced me to another board of directors. When my eyes fixated to the person who belong to my past, I can not understand what I'm feeling. When he saw me, as if he had seen a ghost. Astounded. Even me, surprised too. I never thought we would meet here.

"Babe. I would like you to meet one of the director of Rubio Chains of Hotel and a friend of mine. Captain Mark Tanner de la Vega." Shawnel says.
