Show them what real acting was!

Inside the closet, Chen Mumu was simmering with anger. She had just regained her consciousness after falling earlier and she had the strongest of urges to murder somebody!

In her heart, she was cursing Feng Yuan, 'You evil witch! Just wait, when I get out I will make you regret what you did to me!"

She was beyond pissed and if she even laid eyes on that idiotic man who collided with Feng Yuan to throw her in here then she would make him regret making that choice!

She could hear the people outside trying to open the door for her. She was very grateful that someone was passing by just at the same time she regained consciousness. If it had been otherwise then who would have known what would have happened to her?

When the door was finally opened, the people outside were very surprised to see a dusty Chen Mumu. She was brown from head to toe and she looked like if you got closer then you would definitely get the flu!

When she walked, Director Zhang and the others dramatically took a step back to avoid being in contact with her!

Chen Mumu did not notice anything strange. She simply bowed deeply. These were her benefactors so worshipping them would not be hard.

She coughed, "Thank you guys so much…I…I…why are you moving away?"

She stared at Li Wei who was still holding the keys and taking steps back. He looked so horrified, "I am, ummm,"

Director Zhang cleared the awkward air on his behalf, "What in the world happened and how are you inside the closet? How long have you been in there?"

Chen Mumu coughed again, "I came for the audition but a stra…" before she finished, she suddenly recalled,

THE AUDITION!

She quickly took her phone and saw that it was already six in the evening!

She immediately looked dejected and sat down on the floor without minding whether she was getting dirty or not. Well, she was already dirty so she did not mind it!

"I cannot believe I missed the audition, wuwuwuwu!"

She was crying so pitifully. The dust on her face rolled funnily. Producer Wang could not take it anymore. She took out some wet wipes from her bag and handed them over to the dramatic Chen Mumu, "Here, wipe your face first and then we can speak slowly."

Chen Mumu took the wipes and said a small thank you. She dutifully wiped her face and soon her impeccable face was revealed to the five people!

Because of the dust, her true appearance was hidden but now that she was clean, she looked like an angel fallen from above…well, save for the dirty clothes and all but anyway, she was absolutely breathtaking!

Her eyes were large and expressive, glistening with unshed tears, framed by long, dark lashes that gave her a doe-eyed look. Her skin, now free of dust, was smooth and fair, with a natural glow that seemed almost ethereal in the fading light of the evening. Her lips, even chapped from the ordeal, had a natural rosy hue, and her high cheekbones and delicate features made her look like a porcelain doll. Despite her dishevelled state, there was an undeniable elegance and grace about her, making it easy to see why she was considered a top contender for the role.

Director Zhang, clearly struck by her beauty, managed to find his voice. "Chen Mumu, we understand you've been through a lot, but we haven't yet made our final decision. Why don't you tell us your thoughts on Cai Ying, and perhaps we can still see your audition?"

He thought that she looked as perfect as Cai Ying. He did not know what it was about her that made him feel like she was just perfect.

Cai Ying was very playful and whenever she did not get something that she wanted, she would pout and sit down on the dust just like she was doing now!

Producer Wang shook Director Zhang, "Director…"

Director Zhang stared at her and whispered, "I think that she is just perfect for the role. Look, we have been looking for someone with ethereal beauty. Each and every contestant that came today was caked in makeup and that took away all the naturalness that Cai Ying embodies!"

Even Screenwriter Liu looked skeptical. Other than meeting Chen Mumu right now, they did not know who she was!

For all they knew she could have staged being locked in the supply closet so that she could find the right time to show up in front of them!

Director Zhang called them aside, "I know this seems unconventional, but hear me out. There's something about her – it's not just her beauty. It's her natural demeanor, her presence. She embodies Cai Ying in a way I can't explain. I think we should at least give her a chance to audition."

Producer Wang folded her arms, considering. "But Director, we have to be fair to the other actresses. They went through the proper channels. This could set a bad precedent."

Li Wei chimed in, "I agree with the Director. I've worked with many actresses, and there's an authenticity to her that I think would translate well on screen. Let's not forget, Cai Ying's character is all about authenticity and raw emotion."

Screenwriter Liu nodded slowly. "If we're all in agreement, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to see her audition. But we should be cautious."

Director Zhang turned back to Chen Mumu, who was still sitting on the floor, wiping the last traces of dust from her face. "Chen Mumu, we've decided to give you a chance. Please, tell us your thoughts on Cai Ying and then perform your audition."

Chen Mumu stood up, her face lighting up with determination. "Thank you so much! Cai Ying is a character I've felt deeply connected to ever since I read the script. Her journey through nine lifetimes, her unwavering love and sorrow, it's a story that resonates with me profoundly. I've prepared a scene from the second lifetime, where she realizes her lover does not recognize her."

She did not think that she would get this chance but now that she did…she was going to show them what real acting was!
