Twenty Nine

  Later that night after his patrol shift, Ethan walked back into the house and headed up to the room he was using only to be met by Alex and James outside of it.

  "I know you told Alpha Leo Ember is doing okay," James began once they were inside the room and Ethan went to his bag to unpack.

  "She is," Ethan replied putting his few clothes away while Alex walked over to the window staring out with a frown on his face.

  Ethan hesitated briefly before he uttered. "Alex, have you found her yet?"

  Alex turned sharply his narrowed his sharp gaze fixed on Ethan with a warning to lay off the subject. Although Ethan hadn't looked up, he sensed the glare Alex was giving him but decided to ignore it and go on with the conversation anyway. 

  "When you are mentioned as Tony 's Beta, people get confused," he continued, and James nodded his head in agreement.
