(23)The Baby

Sapphires POV:

Adaline runs back into my room holding a plastic bag. "Did you get it?" I question. She just gives me a look. "I'll take that as a yes".

She shrugs and pushes the bag into my arms, then pushes me towards the bathroom. "Don't take forever in there," she says as she shuts the bathroom door. I chuckle and open the box to the pregnancy test.

I follow the directions and then sit down to wait. A few minutes later I look at the test. It's positive.

I open the door and walk back to my room. Adaline was in there pacing and waiting for the results. "It was positive, wasn't it?" Adaline asks as she sees my face. I just nod and head towards my bed. I sat down and felt tears coming.

"Oh god....what am I going to tell Skylar!" I half yelled as I started crying. Adaline smiled sadly at me "Simple, just go up to him and say 'im pregnant, now hand me my child support'. Yea that sounds about right".

I looked up at her with an are-you-crazy look. She shrugged and started to walk out of the room. "Now Sapphy, don't worry he'll take the news just fine! Come to my room so we can clean you up".

I sighed but got up and followed her down the hall to her room. Her door was painted black, but as soon as you go in it's like a unicorn threw up on her walls.

Two walls are colored neon pink, one wall is neon blue, and the other one is neon green. Then she has a swirled design that goes across them, which is a neon orange.

She only has a dresser, bed, and a small table in her room. So as soon as you walk in the bed is on the far back wall in the left corner. Her bed frame is black, her blanket looks like her walls, and she has like 20 pillows.

The dresser is on the right wall, and is also black, and has a large mirror hanging over it. The small table has two drawers, is black, and is sat to the right of the bed. There is a small pink lamp sitting on the table also.

When I finished gawking at her room, I rolled my eyes and sat on her bed. Adaline went straight over to her closet, which is on the left wall before you get to her bed.

"Now I'm thinking a red sundress would look pretty on you.." My eyes widen. She pokes her head out of the closet and takes in my reaction. "Ok fine, no dress" she grumbles as she walks back into her closet. I throw myself back on the bed and groan.

"YES! I found it!!" Adaline screamed. I jolted up and looked around. Hmm, guess I fell asleep. Adaline walks out of the closet with leggings, a long-sleeved burgundy shirt, and light brown boots. The shirt was long enough to cover my butt.

I sigh but head to the bathroom across the hall, outfit in hand. After I shut and locked the door, I headed straight to the shower.

After my much-needed shower, I got dressed. I brushed my hair out and decided to let it air dry. I then put on brown eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

When I finished I headed to my room, only to bump into the last person I wanted to see today. Skylar.

I panic and begin to mumble a sorry. He looks at me worried but doesn't say anything about my almost panic attack.

"Calm down, I'm heading towards the kitchen if you want to come?" He asks. I just nod and begin to follow him.

When we walk in, I see Adaline is in there. She gives me a look and mouths 'tell him'. I glare and shake my head. She replies with a huff.

I sigh knowing she's right. I look up at Skylar and decide I needed to tell him. "Hey, babe? I have something to talk to you about"

He looks over at me and nods. I look down at my shoes, finding the boots more interesting at the moment. "I'm pregnant" I blurt out.

I hear him take a deep breath, then the sounds of the chair he was in moving. I look up to see him walking away, towards the backyard.

I burst out crying and run back into my room. Adaline was close behind and decides to comfort me.

Looks like I might not have a mate after all.
