Hunter 90: Time to Steal the Kill

Understanding the importance of finishing off an enemy, Jojo wasted no time using Hamon's energy to melt the severed leg until only the bone remained, preventing the enemy from reattaching it. Esidisi was left balancing on one leg, unable to regenerate the limb due to the Hamon energy lingering in the wound.

"You bastards..."

Esidisi's expression was strange, his body trembling.

"Heh, are you angry? Go ahead and be angry. In a little while, you won't have the chance to be angry anymore!"

Jojo taunted.

Suddenly, tears streamed down Esidisi's face, his expression contorting as he cried out, "Ah~ Marisa~! Ah~ Marisa~!"

"This guy!"

Jojo felt a wave of disgust.

Although this was a famous scene, Gentle Youth and his group had no time to appreciate it. Summer Flame once again drew her bow and shot an arrow!

"Ah~ annoying pests!"

Esidisi, now less agile with one leg, was hit in the torso by the arrow. It caused some pain but wasn't a major injury. He stopped crying and coldly glanced in the direction of Gentle Youth's group.

"Be careful, that guy might kill someone to take their leg and attach it to himself!"

Gentle Youth quickly warned the others to be on guard.

Esidisi used his remaining leg to leap toward Gentle Youth and his group.

"Hamon Steel Ball Strike!"

Jojo couldn't tolerate Esidisi attacking others right in front of him. He swiftly hurled two steel balls at Esidisi in mid-air.

"Thanks!"

Esidisi chose to take the hit with his body. Although he suffered some Hamon damage, he used the force to close in on Gentle Youth and his group even faster.

"Damn it!"

"Gentle Glory, White Sand!"

Gentle Youth shouted as he thrust a wooden staff with a sharp energy blade toward the approaching Esidisi.

White Sand waved his hands, causing sand to gather on the ground, growing in volume until it floated up, obscuring Esidisi's vision.

"Explosive Slash!"

Only Gentle Glory, in his simple-mindedness, shouted the name of his skill as he slashed at Esidisi's waist.

Instinctively closing his eyes as the sand hit his face, Esidisi felt a sharp weapon cut his abdomen. He opened his eyes to find the hot blood around them melting the sand particles that approached.

A large man had buried his axe into his abdomen. He could feel a strange energy in the blade that could harm him, though it wasn't as effective as Hamon's energy.

Blood vessels emerged from Esidisi's fingers, ready to strike the axe-wielding man.

In the critical moment, an energy blade pierced Esidisi's chest. It was Gentle Youth who had attacked, and as the blade made contact, it detached from the staff, propelling Esidisi backward.

Gentle Youth had two attack methods: one where an energy blade appeared at the end of his staff, functioning as a spear for close combat, and another where the energy blade was launched as a ranged attack. This combination of close and long-range attacks made it difficult for enemies to defend.

White Sand once again rubbed his hands, causing sand to gather at Esidisi's feet and wrap around her.

"JoJo!"

Seeing this, Gentle Youth quickly called for their main force.

Jojo swung a Hamon-infused steel ball toward Esidisi's head. Sensing the danger, Esidisi tried to dodge, but the seemingly loose sand at his feet held him in place.

Seeing the steel ball about to strike his head, Esidisi laughed as he shot scalding blood from the blood vessels extended from his fingers, blocking the steel ball and causing it to melt slightly, nearly burning Jojo.

"You guys are interesting!"

Esidisi said as his severed leg began to regrow, with blood vessels extending from his foot as well.

"Wamuu has the power to control the wind with his Divine Sandstorm, but I can make my blood boil to 500 degrees with my Flame Battle Technique! JoJo, I am the ACDC of the Pillar Men!"

Esidisi directed the scalding blood vessels toward Jojo, while some of them headed for Gentle Youth and his group.

As Gentle Youth dealt with these blood vessels, Esidisi pursued Jojo, driving him back into a spike-filled formation.

"Hahaha, you haven't noticed that my hat is shrinking! You're surrounded!" Despite saying this, Jojo was somewhat uncertain, as he hadn't had time to set up more traps outside the spike formation.

Sure enough, Esidisi easily cut through the threads with his blood vessels.

Out of options, Jojo seemed to be in real trouble. Just then, a barrage of skills hit Esidisi's head. Aden realized that if they didn't intervene, Jojo might be defeated, leading to a plot collapse and a dramatic increase in the mission's difficulty.

"Damn bastards!"

Esidisi launched dozens of blood vessels at the group.

"King of Blaze's Prison!"

A contract holder in Aden's group raised a shield, but it only held for a few seconds. Another frontline tank raised a shield, holding out for a few seconds longer.

"Esidisi, you've already lost!"

In the brief time they had bought, Jojo finished his preparations. A special nylon rope was thrown, wrapping around Esidisi.

"Hamon Overdrive!"

Golden Hamon energy began cutting into Esidisi's body along the nylon rope.

Sensing a lethal threat, Esidisi decided to self-destruct. However, his brain, which flew out from the explosion, could parasitize Jojo's back. But there wasn't just Jojo there! He was immediately discovered!

This might explain why Hirohiko Araki never draws team battles!

"Now! Summer Flame!"

Seeing Esidisi's brain appear, Gentle Youth and his group stopped holding back. They had only been dealing with the blood vessels half-heartedly, waiting for Aden and the others to act.

Summer Flame had already drawn her bow. This time, it wasn't a physical arrow but an energy arrow, red-hot, formed by expanding her mana.

Jojo picked up the nose ring antidote from the ground. Just as Esidisi's brain was about to pounce, the red-hot energy arrow pierced through the remaining brain.

"Nicely done!"

The arrow exploded, blasting the brain apart. Suddenly, Aden leaped high into the air, using an unknown skill to pulverize the brain.

"Heh, you all still underestimate the Pillar Men's vitality! This time, I win!" Aden looked at the dismayed faces of Gentle Youth and his group with satisfaction. The last hit determines who gets the kill!

Unfortunately, Esidisi didn't drop a treasure chest because 90% of the damage came from JoJo's golden Hamon energy. Although it looked like they used many skills, they didn't do much damage.

If a treasure chest had dropped, Aden's group might have fought Gentle Youth's group over it.

"You're still cautious!"

Jojo sighed with relief after seeing Esidisi's brain pulverized, thinking about what would have happened if he hadn't noticed it.

With Jojo safe, Loggins' life was also saved. Lisa Lisa, Caesar, and the others felt relieved, and they were glad that the Aja Red Stone necklace was unharmed.

At dawn, Aden and his team took their leave, actually choosing to return to the Reincarnation Paradise. Staying here could lead to unforeseen dangers, and even if there weren't any, with Gentle Youth's group watching them, they wouldn't be able to do anything.

They had already secured a return qualification. If they tried to go after the Aja Red Stone necklace, Gentle Youth's group would fight them to the death.

"Esidisi's attack proves they won't just wait for us to come to them in six days. We must remain cautious!"

Lisa Lisa warned the group.

"Should we take the initiative?"

Jojo clenched his fist and asked seriously.

"Speedwagon has contacted me. We're preparing to head to Italy. The Vampire Hunters will join us."

Jojo had hoped that the Vampire Hunters would teach Caesar a lesson, but with their relationship so good now, he abandoned that idea.

"This mysterious contractor is finally going to show up!"

Gentle Youth's team was curious about the mysterious contractor who first contacted the protagonist.

"Boss, without Esidisi, will there be no third part?"

White Sand asked in the team channel.

Gentle Youth replied, "That's not our concern. The priority is getting the Aja Red Stone necklace."

Summer Flame added, "Our greatest advantage is teaming up with the main characters. There are still a dozen or more contractors outside the island who are our competition."

Gentle Glory suggested, "Maybe we should consider Wamuu."

Gentle Youth said, "That's a backup plan. Perhaps we can lure other contractors into this mission."
