The Best Way To Use Personal Guards R-18

Point out any errors I made in the chapters, as I'm very lazy and sometimes can't be bothered to reread them. Also, give your opinions on something I should change or add. 

Note: This chapter has R-18 scenes in it, but still has lore and some important stuff. If you don't want to read the sex scene part, you can skip ahead. I have placed a warning before the scene and a message at the end to skip to.

However, when she arrived, a slight frown appeared on Serena's breathtaking face.

Instead of the person she had been eagerly expecting, a group of five hundred or so humans had come out of the Gate of Darkness. As if to make matters worse, upon inspecting the group with her aquamarine eyes, Feng wasn't anywhere among them.

Upon Serena's appearance, the acute senses of the Zero Wing's members who Feng had sent as the first batch immediately picked up on the Tier 5 Fallen Angel's imposing presence. They all simultaneously turned to look at her, getting an immensely bad feeling when they saw her sour and unwelcoming expression.

"Who are you humans? Why did you come through that Gate of Darkness? And-" Serena spoke in a harsh tone, which gradually became chilly and threatening "Where is He?" 

The menacing aura enveloping them as the Tier 5 Fallen Angel's disappointment turned into something else began forcing the Zero Wing members in place and put the five hundred or so restored players into a predicament of quickly escalating danger.

However, as if completely unaffected by the terrifying pressure, Fire took a step forward, about to say something to the winged woman hovering above them, when Aqua suddenly stopped her.

Stepping to the front of their group, the Vice Guild Leader showed no signs of fear or concern as she confronted the Tier 5 Fallen Angel.

"We were sent here by him through the Gate of Darkness. As for Feng himself, he won't be coming this time, but in a few days." Calmly explaining the situation, Aqua didn't appear to be worried about Serena killing all of them.

Instead, she eyed the Fallen Angel, meticulously observing the winged girl as if she were a potential rival.

Aqua was already aware of the fact that Feng and Serena had previously indulged in sex. Having made love with the NPC, Aqua wasn't sure what Feng's intentions towards the Fallen Angel were, as even though Feng had insinuated that it was only for business purposes so that he could get the Manager Token, there was no guarantee that something more might not become of his relationship with Serena.

Hence, Aqua, as a woman and one of Feng's partners who wished to eliminate as much of the potential competition as possible, felt the need to scrutinize Serena, and she automatically compared herself with the Fallen Angel.

Speaking in terms of beauty, Aqua felt that she wasn't inferior to Serena, with both having different aspects and characteristics that set them apart, while the Fallen Angel's body wasn't any greater than her own, both of them having a similar figure and exceptional curves.

In terms of temperament, though, Serena couldn't compare to Aqua despite being a Tier 5 Higher Being while the latter was only a human.

After all, during her previous life, Aqua had been one of the strongest players in God's Domain and stood at the top of the game, so a mere Tier 5 creature like Serena naturally couldn't compare to her.

However, due to her current limited existence, Aqua couldn't fully display her godly temperament, so Serena was currently capable of matching her.

Overall, in Aqua's opinion, she didn't think that she lost out to the NPC in any metric, even being better than Serena in some aspects, which made her feel relieved.

Similarly to Aqua, Fire and Violet compared themselves to the Fallen Angel as well, while Serena, perhaps through women's intuition, sensed the measuring gazes of the opposing three girls as they sized her up in a very certain way. Not as an opponent for battle, but as a woman.

When they made eye contact, Serena instantly knew the story behind those three, guessing that the human girls were after her lover as well.

It didn't come to the Fallen Angel as a surprise that Feng would have multiple partners other than herself going by his temperament, behavior, and his obviously high-level sexual experience and skills. In fact, Serena had fully been expecting and preparing for the day she came across his other lovers.

Thus, the existence of Aqua, Fire, and Violet as her love rivals didn't shock Serena or come as something unexpected, and she was only a bit caught off guard to suddenly come across them now in this situation.

Immediately after coming to the realization of who they were, the Fallen Angel began comparing herself to the three of them, the natural reaction not something individual to any race, and instead something all women did upon meeting a potential rival in romance.

Meanwhile, all four of them measured themselves against the others differently with different criteria, with all four girls somehow concluding that they were better than the rest and Feng's number one lover, leaving all of them satisfied with the situation.

Serena's mood also improved slightly with the conclusion she had come to, feeling a bit better and more understanding that Feng wasn't here right now, the internal and unsaid competition distracting the Fallen Angel from her previous near-insane state.

She also finally realized that she hadn't actually known Feng's name, having referred to him as just human before, and the revelation of her lover's name also brightened her mood, leaving the Fallen Angel with only some disappointment, but deciding to not stress about the humans' emergence from the Gate of Darkness and their presence.

"Whatever, do what you want." Feeling no need to watch over the restored members, Serena turned around and flew back to the Epic Shrine, deciding to simply continue waiting for Feng to come.

Sighs of relief were released in unison by most of the Zero Wing members when Serena left, having thought for a moment that they were all about to die.

Although they were fairly strong individually and incredibly powerful when all of them worked as a group, in front of a Level 200 Tier 5 Fallen Angel, they would all still die regardless of their high-ranking equipment and combat standards.

"Alright, we'll be splitting up into parties of five and taking on the Party Test one at a time. In order to maximize the amount of time everybody obtains from the Party Test, a member from the Main Force will join each group according to their combat power, with the strongest ones going first and assisting those among the core members with the lowest chances of succeeding in the Party Test on its highest difficulty." Aqua instructed the Zero Wing members to divide into groups for the World Summit's Party Test. 

The amount of time allotted to a player if they clear the entrance test on their own is too limited. It won't be possible to explore much with so little time. If players challenge the test as parties of three or five, though, they'll be able to obtain much more time. How much time each person will get in the end will depend on their own abilities. 

Compared to the individual test, the party test presented players with a considerable advantage. For the individual test, players were required to go up against 10 monsters simultaneously. For the Party Test, regardless of its size, players would have to go up against only 20 monsters simultaneously.

Of course, there were also downsides to challenging the Party Test. First, the monsters' minimum standard one could challenge in the party test was different. For the individual test, the weakest monster available for players to choose from was a Common monster, whereas the weakest monster available for the Party Test was a Special Elite.

Second, it was far more difficult for parties to achieve the Dark-Gold rank in their tests. For example, when challenging the individual test, players were able to achieve the Dark-Gold rank just by challenging one Lord and nine Chieftains. Parties needed to challenge a minimum of one Great Lord, five High Lords, and 14 Chieftains.

The difficulty for parties was considerably higher.

Players were able to exhibit greater strength in a group than monsters though. If a party of five had a good class configuration, such as having one MT, one healer, and three DPS, the party would have a good chance at clearing the Dark-Gold party test. Moreover, the entrance test allowed external items. Only Summoning Scrolls and Personal Guards were barred.

On the other hand, the difficulty of the entrance test at the World Summit greatly differed depending on whether you were challenging the test as an individual or as a party. 

In the case of parties, the difficulty was no different if you were in a party of three or five. The total amount of time allotted to a party would also remain the same. Each player in a party of five would get less than a party of three. However, a party of five would undoubtedly have greater survivability and overall strength, which would allow the party to challenge a test of greater difficulty and gain more total time.

Zero Wing's members didn't mind this fact all that much though. To begin with, they were planning on challenging the highest difficulty available to them as Tier 1 players, so as long as they performed adequately on the test, they'd be getting more than enough time to visit a Shrine of each rank according to their goals and spend some time on the Divine Staircase. 

Hence, in order to have every member get as much time as possible, Aqua had all of them split into one hundred or so groups of five members per party, having the stronger Main Force members carry some of the core members who'd have a bit of trouble clearing the Legendary Party Test. 

When they were all properly organized, the restored members began to take on the Party Test one by one. 

The first party to step up to the altar was comprised of Fire leading four Flowing Water Realm members with the lowest combat power, the four all being healers. 

At this point in time, Zero Wing's Main Force was made up of three Beyond Domain Realm experts, two being at its second stage, the Unthinking Realm, and one being at its first stage, the Extrasensory Realm, around thirty Domain Realm experts of varying progression between the First and Third step, while the rest were powerful Void Realm experts, with most of them close to awakening a Domain. 

Moreover, each of the Main Force members was decked out with Fragmented Legendary equipment and weapons. 

Hence, it would be easy for them to assist the weaker core members with the Legendary Party Test. 

Among the Main Force members, the one with the highest attributes and damage-dealing capabilities was definitely Fire, as even though both Violet and Aqua had higher combat standards than her and all of them had similar equipment standards, Fire was an Assassin player with a Top-tier Peak Legacy and a very powerful Bloodline. 

Violet and Aqua, on the other hand, were a Cleric and Cursemancer respectively, with Aqua still being at Tier 0 and Violet not having a Bloodline herself. 

Due to the difference between them, Fire was picked as the first to go and lead the core members with the lowest combat standards. 

As soon as Fire and the others stepped on the altar, the sound of a system notification reached their ears.

System: Defeat all enemies before you, and you will be granted entry to the World Summit.

System: As a five-man party, you will gain 30 minutes for every Special Elite killed, 100 minutes for Chieftains, 500 minutes for Lords, 1,000 minutes for High Lords, 2,000 minutes for Great Lords, and 5,000 minutes for Grand Lords.

System: Your party must choose 20 monsters to face. If you are unable to defeat your opponents, you will die.

System: As a five-man party, all party members may choose 4 monsters each. The chosen monsters will prioritize the players that chose them. Your party has 10 minutes to consider. Failure to do so will result in automatic forfeit. You will die if you forfeit.

Without any hesitation, all five of them picked four Grand Lords. 

Not bothering with the ten minutes of time meant for preparing, Fire immediately confirmed for the Party Test to start, causing a Magic Array to form above the altar. Combat puppets then dropped from the Magic Array.

Once the twenty combat puppets had spawned, the platform was a bit filled up due to the massive size of the Grand Lord rank creatures.

Level 50

The World Summit's entrance test decided the trial monsters' levels based on the highest-leveled player in the party, and since Fire had been Level 99, the Purgatory Puppets should be Level 99 as well. 

However, before starting the Party Test, she and all the other restored members had used Levellume Capsules to drop their Levels to 50 so that the Combat Puppets would not be too tanky and have a lot of HP. 

Although the decrease in levels reduced the players' attributes and strength as well, the difference wasn't as great as the HP of a Level 50 and Level 99 Purgatory Puppet, so it evens out and makes it easier for Fire and the others to quickly kill the Combat Puppets and finish the Legendary Party Test. 

Not giving the challengers any time to prepare themselves, the Purgatory Puppets charged at Fire and the other four.

Current players wouldn't even be able to handle one Grand Lord even with a 100-man team, let alone twenty of them at once as a party of five, and it would only be later that players could attempt the World Summit's Epic Party Test, which required a Grand Lord to be among the twenty chosen monsters, by relying on Tier 3 Magic Scrolls and other Tools to deal with the Purgatory Puppets.

They were no trouble for the restored Zero Wing members though.

Fire dashed forward, rushing at the Grand Lords without any hesitation and engaging in battle. Each of the Purgatory Puppets had two pairs of arms wielding giant sabers, a total of eighty sabers slashing at Fire and cutting off all paths of escape, but within a few moves, she easily avoided all of the attacks and struck at the Grand Lords.

Even with no Berserk Skill active, Fire sent half of the Grand Lord ranked Combat Puppets flying, all the while dodging the many attacks coming at her.

Following which, Fire separated another nine Purgatory Puppets from the group and went to deal with all the nineteen at once while leaving the last Grand Lord for the four Burning Wing Legion members, who promptly activated Power of Darkness in order to deal with the incoming threat.

It was a simple matter for Fire to kill off the nineteen Purgatory Puppets by spamming them with her powerful skills and Advanced Bronze Combat Techniques, while the other four didn't have any trouble defeating the remaining one, the entire Party Test ending within a little over a minute.

When the last Grand Lord ranked Combat Puppet fell, a system notification sounded in their ears. 

System: You have completed the SSS-rank difficulty test. Rewarding Legendary Shrine Key. Time awarded increased by 100%. You have received 118,000 minutes.

Since Fire did the most by taking on nineteen Combat Puppets at once and had the greatest performance in their party, she naturally received a huge increase to her time as a reward. On top of the 20,000 minutes for picking four Grand Lords, she was awarded an additional 39,000 minutes, and with the 100% increase for earning a Legendary Shrine Key, her total came up to 118,000 minutes.

The other four restored members didn't perform badly though, and they only seemed weak when compared to a monster like Fire.

All of them did very well against a Grand Lord ranked Combat Puppet as just Tier 1 players, quickly and efficiently eliminating it without any of them getting hurt. Moreover, since they won without using any outside power or receiving any damage, there was an additional bonus.

Overall, each of the four members had between 45,000 and 50,000 minutes to spend on the World Summit.

For them, this was more than enough to use up their opportunities for entering Inferior Legendary Shrines and Epic Shrines, along with having plenty left over to spend a few days climbing up the Divine Staircase.

Fire had no complaints about the number of her minutes either; 118,000 minutes being more than enough for her to go to the Shrines that required the largest amount of minutes of each rank as well as use up all the chances to climb on the Divine Staircase that the Legendary Shrine Key provided her.

With the Party Test done, Fire's group stepped away from the platform and sat nearby to rest while waiting for the remaining Zero Wing members to do their tests. 

The next party, led by Aqua, stepped up to the altar immediately after and began their Legendary Party Test. 

It was finished fairly quickly, and they fared around as well as Fire's party. 

One after another, each of the one hundred or so teams cleared the Legendary Party Test and entered the World Summit. 

Some had a bit of a harder time than others due to the later parties not having someone who could solo more than a dozen Grand Lords at once, but working together and combining their strengths, the Zero Wing members managed to consecutively clear the Legendary Party Test. 

Within three hours, all of the restored Zero Wing members part of the first batch sent by Feng had passed the test. 

"Now that we've all arrived and rested, we can finally begin. I don't think that I need to remind any of you, but directly attacking each other isn't allowed. Anything else, though, is fair game." Seeing that everybody was ready to go, Aqua announced to the entire group of five hundred or so restored members. 

Serious and determined expressions appeared on each of the members' faces. Even Fire and Violet cast away their usual casual demeanors as the two girls stood to their feet and prepared. 

"Ready, set, go!" 

At Aqua's sign, everybody moved, dashing forward at their fastest speeds, some running up the stairs leading higher to the mountain while others ran into the nearby 1st Divine Shrine. 

Fire was the first to distance herself from the group thanks to her incredible speed, not even leaving an afterimage behind as she reached halfway up the Bronze Shrine region before anyone else had even taken a step forward. 

Violet followed after, but she didn't rely on her attributes to get ahead of the others, instead taking out an item she acquired from her Legacy Land and creating a golden cloud[1], immediately jumping up on it and controlling the Flying Nimbus to fly towards the top of the mountain; the pink-haired girl quickly reaching the front of the group going up the mountain thanks to the item, and she was only behind Zero Wing's Main Force Commander. 

From the moment they stepped onto the World Summit, none of them were comrades anymore. It was a free-for-all when Aqua said "Go". 

After all, the valuable resources on the World Summit were limited, and most of the Shrines could only be cleared once before they became unavailable, while others only had a few rewards offered. 

Additionally, the higher up the World Summit you go and the higher ranking stuff you want, the fewer Shrines there were. There were only a couple dozen Inferior Legendary Shrines in the Inferior Legendary region. Even with some having more than one reward, there won't be enough to go around for all five hundred Zero Wing members. 

Though, it wasn't certain whether all of them could even make it all the way up there and claim the Shrines' rewards. 

Nonetheless, the most valuable items were what everyone was after, and there definitely weren't enough of them to go around. 

People like Fire and Violet, however, weren't racing for the Inferior Legendary Shrines. The aim of the higher-ranking Main Force members was naturally the highest and most valuable Legendary Shrines, of which there were only several at the top of the World Summit. 

Not many of them will make it, of course. 

Legendary Shrines weren't something that one could easily go to and loot, since aside from the number of minutes necessary to enter them, the huge difficulty of clearing a Legendary Shrine and obtaining its rewards, there was an intense mental pressure bearing down on any ascenders from the top of the mountain; making it difficult for creatures to fight while subjected to such a force, or even climb higher. 

Normally, only Tier 6 players have a chance at approaching them, but with sufficiently high attributes, Physique, and Concentration, one could endure the mental pressure without being Tier 6. Additionally, with some special tools and techniques, such as the Body Combat Technique Divine Change, it is plausible to get to the Legendary Shrines and undertake their tests even while at lower tiers. 

However, the difficulty of achieving such a feat was enormous. Most likely, even the Main Force members who had reached the Domain Realm, or at least the majority of them, won't be able to do it. 

Only people like Fire, Violet, and Aqua have a higher chance of succeeding. 

Still, the Shrines were not all that the restored members were competing with each other over. In actuality, the group of 500 or so members was split quite evenly between the stairs leading towards the World Summit's peak and the entrance to the Divine Staircase. 

A large portion of the players had their sights set on the many treasures available for exchange in the Divine Hall; particularly the limited number of Bloodlines being sold there. 

With there only being a certain amount of the very valuable items like Bloodlines along with the Fragmented Legendary equipment and weapons, which only some of the higher ranking Burning Wing Legion members possessed, only being one of a kind, all of the members naturally wanted to be the first to enter the 1st Divine Shrine and start climbing up the Divine Staircase. 

Assassins and Rangers took the lead with their superior Agility, followed by Swordsmen, and other melee classes, while the magical players lagged behind them. Though, the slower classes didn't just sit back and allow others to get too far ahead of them, using whatever skills unique to their class to slow down the players in front of them. 

Mages used Ice Walls and Ice Spheres to reduce the melee players' Movement Speed, along with casting fire spells in front of the leading players in order to force them to adjust their movements; 

Cursemancers used their control spells for the same purpose as they did their best to reduce everybody else's speed; 

Summoners summoned creatures using their spells to block the melee players' way and controlled them to obstruct everyone at the front of the pack; 

Healing classes such as Clerics, Druids, and Oracles couldn't do much to interfere with the melee players without directly attacking them aside from casting some debuffs and dispelling any buffs on the leading players, relying mostly on the other magical players to do that while they cast buffs on themselves to increase their Movement Speed; 

Melee players like Guardian Knights, Sheild Warriors, and Berserks, who had lower Agility and Movement Speed, didn't settle for their places either, using Charge to catch up to the Assassins and Rangers, along with any other skills at their disposal. 

Being the two fastest classes, the Assassin and Ranger players among the group of Burning Wing Legion members got targeted the most, and they had to actively avoid all sorts of attempts at stopping their advance as well as enduring the efforts of all the players behind them to slow them down and take the lead; using many skills and techniques along the way as they neared the 1st Divine Shrine. 

Swordsman players fared the best out of all the restored members since they were fast enough to keep up with Assasins and Rangers when the two groups of players were being slowed down, but not so fast that they'd get targeted more than other melee players as a result of them being somewhat grouped up and in the same lane. 

Hence Swordmen mostly flew under the radar of the other classes, partly due to those factors, and partly due to there not being many Swordsman players, it not being a class favored or preferred by most players because of it being a generalist class with nothing special about it, much fewer players picking it when starting off as a result, causing there to not be as many top-tier expert Swordsman players as there were for other classes[2] in God's Domain and its guilds; including Zero Wing. 

The intensity of the race between the players shook the area of the World Summit that they were at as all the restored members attempted to get ahead at the expense of mercilessly pulling down others, their supposed friends and comrades, without care for the rest. 

If not for Feng previously saying that fighting and directly attacking each other was forbidden, the situation would have been a lot messier since combat between players on the World Summit was completely allowed unlike in cities, and a bloodbath would have ensued. 

After all, none of the players who had gone through the baptism of the Greater World and survived were good people. They've all been conditioned to fight and do whatever it takes in order to survive, get stronger, and continue living as freely as possible. 

If throwing their fellow guild members to the back and looking out for only themselves in a fair competition would mean they could obtain the things they needed and grow stronger, increasing their chances of achieving their goals, then that's what any of them would do. 

Which was what they were currently doing in this race for the World Summit's precious treasures and resources. 

All of them understood this and lived by such principles, so no one could or would hold one of their guildmates fucking them over against their comrades. It was simply the way life was, and since there was a limited amount of something everybody wanted, this situation was inevitable. 

It was why Aqua had made sure to remind them all of Feng's words, knowing a fight could potentially break out and turn the friendly competition into a brawl-out. 

Once the rampage stopped and all of the restored members were no longer present at the foot of the World Summit, one group having already rushed far ahead up the mountain's stairs and the other having entered the Divine Shrines, only Aqua remained. 

Apparently not in a hurry like the others, the blue-haired Vice Guild Leader calmly walked up the steps towards the peak at her own pace.

"Aooo!" 

A howl echoed throughout the Crystal Forest from a certain cave as a giant wolf of over ten meters tall bared its snow-white fangs at the group of people assaulting it, a hint of bloodlust flashing in the giant wolf's crimson eyes as it glared at the Swordsman in front of it. 

The wolf's body was made entirely of crystals, across which numerous cuts had been made, and a green glow flashed where its heart should have been.

Level 50

Meanwhile, the group raiding the Crystal Wolf King was comprised of a handsome male Swordsman, a charming female Summoner, and an enchanting woman in a maid outfit; along with some summoned creatures. 

The Crystal Wolf King swiped its razor-sharp claws at Kite, but the Sword Master blocked the attack with one hand. Kite then countered with a slash towards the giant paw's joint. 

Anna, on the other hand, had summoned a Level 50 Golden Giant, a Tier 3 creature, having the summoned monster assist Kite in battle while she cast spells from the side. 

Both Kite and Anna had grown at tremendous speeds within a very short time. It was especially true for Anna's improvement speed. Despite having become his Personal Guard a little later than Kite, who had leveled up to Level 55, and only recently finished her training as an Adventurer, she had nearly caught up to her companion and reached Level 50. Moreover, she had also been promoted to Tier 2. 

The growth rate of a max Potential Dark-Gold Personal Guard and an Epic Personal Guard were truly extraordinary. 

In God's Domain, it was not that easy to nurture a powerful Personal Guard.

First and foremost, one required a large sum of money.

As Personal Guards were NPCs, they required far more EXP to level up than players. If players frequently brought their Personal Guards when they went out to grind, this would only hold back the NPCs' growth rate.

If players wanted to let their Personal Guards level up and improve quickly, they had to let these Personal Guards accept quests at the Adventurer's Association on their own. However, money was required when Personal Guards accepted a quest. Moreover, depending on the rank of the quest, the fee would also change. Although these Personal Guards would receive money, EXP, and other rewards after completing the quest, the player would receive none of it.

This was because Personal Guards would use the money they earned to purchase their own equipment and items. Unlike players, who had to obtain powerful equipment by raiding Dungeons, Personal Guards could purchase such items from the Adventurer's Association or NPC-run weapons and equipment shops. However, Personal Guards could only use the money they earned themselves.

Hence, the first step to nurturing Personal Guards was to increase the amount of money they possessed, and they had to complete a lot of quests to obtain that money.

In the Adventurer's Association, the quests Personal Guards could accept were categorized into Bronze, Mysterious-Iron, Secret-Silver, Fine-Gold, Dark-Gold, and Epic rank. The higher the rank the quest was, the more abundant the rewards were. Likewise, the fee players had to pay would be higher as well.

Currently, a Level 60 Bronze Quest required an application fee of 5 Gold, 10 Gold for Mysterious-Iron, 20 Gold for Secret-Silver, 40 Gold for Fine-Gold, 80 Gold for Dark-Gold, and 200 Gold for Epic.

As to whether the Personal Guard in question could complete the quest, that depended on the Personal Guard's strength. For example, a Bronze Guard would have a 70% chance of completing a Bronze Quest, but they would only have a 40% chance to complete a Mysterious-Iron Quest and 10% chance for a Secret-Silver Quest.

However, one could increase a Personal Guard's combat power through their equipment, increasing their quest success rate. Unfortunately, one needed time to gather the required resources.

Kite and Anna, though, were built different. Their innate potential had been Dark-Gold rank, and they had reached the rank's peak, with Anna even surpassing it thanks to Feng's resources. 

Even in basic equipment, they had a 50% and 80% chance of completing a Dark-Gold Quest respectively. But Feng had previously invested a lot into the two of them, using up a decent number of the guild's gathered resources to get great equipment for his Personal Guards and boosted their success rate at completing Quests, with both having over 90% chance at completing a Dark-Gold Quest. 

Knowing their strength, Feng had spent 200 Gold for both of them to accept an Epic Quest together.

The Adventurer's Association's Epic Personal Guard Quests could be completed by more than one person. Moreover, by forming a party, the Guards' success rates increased. However, only Personal Guards that belonged to the same player could form a party. Multiple players' Personal Guards could not form parties together.

Normally, even extremely well-equipped Dark-Gold Guards only had a 30% chance of completing an Epic Quest. Otherwise, ordinary Dark-Gold Guards only had a 20% chance for success. As for Fine-Gold Guards, even with top-tier equipment, they'd be lucky if they had a 10% success rate. 

Individually, Kite, being a Dark-Gold Personal Guard with 100 Growth Potential and top-tier equipment, had about a 40% chance at completing an Epic Quest, while Anna, who was similarly equipped as him and had one point in Growth Potential more, had around 50% success rate with Epic Quests.

Just the first stack of the buff could increase the Wolf King's Strength and speed by 10%, while subsequent stacks would further enhance its Strength and speed by 10%, up to a maximum of 30 stacks. In other words, the Crystal Wolf King's Strength and speed could increase by as much as 300%. At that point, even a Grand Lord of the same Level would not be a match for it.

Hence, they needed to finish off the Crystal Wolf King before things got out of hand.

Only, the Wolf King was already too strong for the two of them to finish off within a short amount of time by this point due to its previous buffs, while its Gain buffs stacked up very quickly. It would gain a stack once every 10 seconds. If nobody removed this buff, in just two minutes' time, the Crystal War Wolf's strength could rival a Grand Lord. 

That seemed to be the inevitable outcome, as even after using his Tier 2 Taboo Skills and other powerful skills, Kite wasn't able to drain the Crystal Wolf King's remaining HP, while neither Anna's summons nor spells could do much to it anymore either.
