Chapter 0 – Prologue

"Ha...ha...ha..."

"So… this is it.... ha...ha..."

"It didn't have to be." A soft voice so familiar that he can never mistake it for someone else came from the front.

Even after trying his best to focus on the person, all he could see were some blurry figures coming toward him.

"You know why this happened, don't you? Because you didn't do as I told you to."

Suddenly he heard a different voice, one with a charismatic quality and a hint of pride and arrogance, as if everything was beneath the speaker.

"Sigh…"

After a brief pause the speaker continued: "If you had just kept following my commands like a faithful and loyal dog, you wouldn't have ended in this state."

"Hahaha… cough… cough"

"Tch, he's still laughing." A gruff voice came from one of the figures and that person lifted their leg to stomp but was stopped by the first person with the soft voice.

"Don't. If you hit him while he's in this state, then he might die before we even have a chance to ask anything."

"So, you're also here… cough… cough… That's…. unfortunate. I had at least thought that you would not betray me… cough… cough… cough…"

After coughing up a few mouthfuls of blood, the person on the ground turned his head toward the familiar voice.

"Now don't be like that. You know fully well that what you took is too important. And did you really think that I loved you? I think you know me better than that. All I have ever wanted was to be powerful so that no one can even touch me. So, don't take this the wrong way. You were helpful to me before, but now you're in the way of me attaining what I want."

"But we were close once, so if you tell us what we want to know, I can at least promise you that you can at least die peacefully." The woman said sweetly and in a gentle voice.

Suddenly one of the blurry figures took a step forward and spoke in an emotionless voice: "Why are you all wasting so much time on this half-dead bastard? Hey you asshole, if you don't tell us the location of the Primal Stone, I'll personally slaughter your family but only after torturing them."

"Don't you dar… cough… cough… cough…"

The person on the ground tried to say something but started coughing blood.

"You can't do shit, so just be a good and obedient boy and tell us the location of the Primal Stone. I promise that we'll give you a quick death and will not even touch a single hair of your family." Said the one with the charismatic voice with a hint of derision.

The person on the ground wanted to kill the one with the charismatic voice very badly but he couldn't. He was not able to move his body, cause he had lost his right arm, his left leg had 4th-degree burns, many of his ribs were broken, one of those bones pierced his left lung, his right eye was gone, while his left eye was also heavily damaged and he was barely able to see blurry figures. But the biggest reason was that his own mana was completely depleted.

After taking a deep breath with all his mind he made up my mind: Even if I die today, I'll make sure to take these back-stabbing bastards with me.

"... If you promise me that you'll lea-*cough-cough*... leave my family alone then I'll give you the p-*cough-cough*... primal stone *cough-cough*... B-but first, you all have to take a ma-*cough-*... mana oath."

It took all his remaining strength and willpower to say this while coughing up blood.

"This bastard. Do you think that you are in any condition to make demands? Just be glad that…" The one with the gruff voice gritted their teeth and started shouting but the one with the soft voice stopped the previous one from continuing.

The one with the soft voice then said: "If you had just done this from the start when we asked you to share the primal stone with us, this would have never happened. Sigh, whatever, we'll take the mana oath."

While they were talking, the one on the ground opened his inventory and clicked on the Primal Stone, and activated the process of absorbing it.

Sorry, everyone, I was not strong enough to be able to continue with you all. Maybe if there is another life, I would like to be with you all. He said in his mind while closing his eyes.

In my current state absorbing the energy of the primal stone is nothing more than self-destruction, and I am counting on this because failing to do so will result in an explosion that would be even stronger than a hydrogen bomb.

The fifth blurry figure, who had been standing quietly behind everyone suddenly noticed the mana in the air become agitated, but was unable to find the reason for it. But then suddenly looked towards the person who was on the ground and saw a faint glow on his chest.

That person screamed with all their might "THIS BASTARD'S GOING TO SELF-DESTRUCT, RU-"
