Chaos

"If we lose this position, then we're done for! Do you understand? We will be overrun by monsters if we let them take control of this place. Our only choice is to defend this spot and hold it until reinforcements arrive. Otherwise, we will all be dead!" He continue to say, "I been entrusted by Commander Herthos to make sure this post wouldn't fall and I will do my best to fulfill my duty." 

"I understand but we are losing too many soldiers here… and-" The soldier said.

"I'm not stupid but can't risk saving something that we can save... we're too inexperienced to engage in combat and by going to save them, we're just increasing our casualty rate. If we don't hold this place then we'll be finished!" The captain said. "Now get some rest and resume duty afterward."

I could see the soldier doesn't really like the order but he himself realizes what the person in charge means.
