There was blood and dead bodies everywhere in the hall. Ryan looked like he'd just broken a vow he'd made with a god, seeing a man so big at the brink of tears was discomforting for Levi.
It was like looking in the a mirror only he wasn't seeing a reflection of himself but someone he could never be. He enjoyed killing, crying over such bad people who threatened his family was even worse in his eyes, pathetic even.
Levi couldn't bring himself to understand what the man was feeling but a part of him needed to know. Even if he couldn't understand maybe he could attempt to.
"Your heart aches, for them?" His voice was barely a whisper, emotionless even but Ryan heard it loud and clear.
After the screams of the men, they left the room completely devoid of sound, not even a creak from the old building. In that moment nothing else existed but the mess in front of them.
