Ch. 2 Anteiku

( Yami Pov )

Ding! The door rang as I entered the cafe shop.

" Hello... H-Hello, welcome." A waitress greeted me as I smiled.

" Touka, it seems you're working here." I smiled.

Tonka Kirishima, a ghoul that works here and also a classmate of mine at the college.

" Yami... what are you doing here? " she asked nervously as I caught her glancing at my suitcase, and it seemed she had been on the edge since I'm wearing my CCG outfit, which is the white cloak from my teacher.

" Well, I'm here to visit a friend and for a ghoul investigation in the area." I replied as I sat down on a chair by a table.

" Then, can I get your order?" Touka managed to keep her calm and went back to her stoic face, but I could see her hands shaking a little.

" Are you nervous, Touka?" I smiled as I looked at Touka.

" If it's about the ghoul, you shouldn't worry as I'll be getting rid of them tonight." I said as I took her hands into mine.

" But if you want, I could choose to go on a date with you tonight–" I tilted my head to dodge a slap from her.

" Sigh, typical Touka behavior." I shrugged and dodged another slap.

" You jerk! Are you going to order or not!?" She shouted as I let out a small chuckle before ordering.

" Yes, I'll take a coffee and a sandwich, please." I ordered as she wrote them down before leaving.

I looked at my watch while observing the cafe.

A minute later, Touka gave me my coffee and sandwich as I thanked her, and she continued her job.

I took a bite of my sandwich as I waited for Hide and Kaneki.

" Yo! Yami!" Hide waved as he entered, and Kameki gave an akward smile with a little wave.

" You know, you should try to be more quiet. It'll be bad if we get kicked out." I said as I continued sipping my coffee.

" Oops, sorry." He rubbed the back of his head as he sat down along with Kaneki.

" So... why am I here?" I looked at Hide and Kaneki as Hide revealed a smile as he looked at Kaneki.

" Well, it seems Kaneki here has a little crush on a woman that comes here."

" Oh? Well, that's amazing." I smiled at Kaneki as he gave a sheepish smile.

And luckily for Kaneki Hides' attention was diverted to a TV interview about ghouls.

" This is what they probably look like." Kaneki showed a drawing of a ghoul, and Hide drew a sloppy drawing of a normal person.

" Here's mine. It's you."

" Hey."

I chuckled as I showed my drawing, which was an accurate drawing of a ghoul.

" How scary..."

" Mhm." Hide and Kaneki looked at pictures, admiring the work and details until Hide brought up the girl from before.

" Which ones the cute girl you've been talking about?" Hide looked around the shop.

" Huh!? Keep it down! And stop looking around..." And before kaneki could finish, Hide looked at Touka.

" Oh. Is that her?" Hide asked, pointng at Touka.

" Right this way please." She's currently with a customer as we all looked at her.

" Excuse me!!" Hide shouted, waving arms catching Toukas attention as she walked toward our table. I continued to drink my coffee as I watched with a smile.

" Yes?" She asked.

" Can you take our order?! I'll have a cappuccino! What about you guys?!" Hide looked at us as I shrugged.

" I already gotten mine." I replied.

" I–I'm fine..." kaneki stuttered.

" One cappuccino..." and just as she wrote in her notepad Hide interrupted her.

" Oh, sorry but... cam I have your name?" He asked.

" It's Touka Kirishima." Touka answered.

In a sudden movement, Hide grabbed Touka's hands and asked if she had a boyfriend which caused her to run away.

" Way to go, Hide."

" Ow!" I bonked Hide's head as Kaneki started shouting at Hide.

" Quit being obnoxious! This place is the only connection I have to the girl I was talking about!" Kaneki shouted.

And just before he could continue the shops door jingles to reveal a beautiful woman entering which caused Kaneki to lower his head.

On the surface I was smiling, but I looked at Rize, the binge eater gracefully sitting down at a table.

And maybe... just maybe I could save the trouble and attack her right now. I pushed the intrusive thought away and took my hand off the my Quinqui before drinking my coffee.

And just as I looked back at the two guys, I saw Hide heading out the door. I looked around Kaneki who is silently staring at the woman.

" Welp, I need to use the restroom." I patted Kaneki's shoulder.

" Good kuck." I whispered and walked up to the old man at the counter who is wiping cups.

" Excuse me, Sir. Do you guys have a restroom?" I leaned on the counter and put my suitcase on the counter as well.

" Oh. Its at the back hallway and take a left for the men's restroom." He replied with a smile.

" thank you... if you wouldn't mind, can you watch this for me. Thanks." I smiled and left for the restroom.

( Third Pov )

" Do you think the CCG has its eyes on this place?" Touka whispered as Kuzen continued to clean the glass cup.

" No," The ghost" should've been older and more experienced... but that cloak... and Quinqui..." Kenzu glanced at the white briefcase.

' That familiar scent... is that you Satou.'

( Yami Pov )

" thanks for keeping an eye on my stuff." I thanked the old man and looked at Rize exiting the store.

" By the way, I didn't get you name." I looked Kuzen Yashimora.

" Kuzen Yashimora." He replied with a smile.

" Yami Nakamura." I replied before going toward Kaneki who stared into space.

" Well, I'm assuming it went well." I tapped Kanekis shouted and saw he wasn't responding.

" Great... Idiot overdosed on love..." I shook my head.
