A Year later

A year later after the orange moon and me marring my love, we grow closer to each other and my brother was to marry the princess in the next coming spring. They had held off to make sure the choice to marry was right and comfortable. Like Terra and I, Brad and Anith grew as close as ever, Brad even joined Anith during the official conferences in the winter.

I was almost down with my fall semester at the academy and I was set to go home to see my Terra. Her parents were outside the house awaiting my arrival, I had built an area near our homes so we could all live under the same roof. I was by the portal and I ran into Anith who was in a weird mood. I looked at her and she told me that she was concerned about what was going to happen after this school year ends. I told her about me possibly teaching a combat class of my own, She seemed happy for me but she didn't know what she be doing. She was a princess but she wasn't in line to become a queen just yet.

I looked at her and then a thought came to my head, "Why don't you become the dean of the school or a high-ranking official?" I said and she looked like she heard the most wonderful thing possible. " A fresh new perspective would help these kids grow stronger." She said to me and then we went into the Portal once it opened.

On the other side of the portal, That's when I saw Terra's parents waiting for me at home. They looked curious as to why I was smiling when I left Anith's side. She said goodbye to me as she floated to the castle. I walked up to Terra's father and told him, " She's considering what she wants to do after school." He understood when I had suggested for her becoming an official at the school like him. I stood outside the house talking with Terra's parents for a moment then I went in to start dinner.

I was making one of my favorites from my other childhood, I was enjoying my alone time when I heard the door open. Terra and my brother were home now, Terra came into the kitchen and she looked mad for some reason. "They told me that you and Anith were getting too close at the academy. is this true John?" Apparently, someone from the academy had been spreading rumors about me and Anith.

I stood back from the boiling pot and looked at her, "You really believe the Rumors spread by Royal brats, I spend time with Anith when she needs help with magic and I've been her tutor when It comes to the tests." I walked to the angry wold girl, I grabbed her by both shoulders. "Terra, I only see you, you're my wife and I will always love only you. Anith and I are just good friends, Have I ever lied to you besides where I came from. " I said when Brad came into the room and knew what was going on, "My brother always tells the truth, hiding something isn't his strength. "

I looked at my brother and told him what Anith might choose to do when she was done with school. Brad looked happy, He had a few more years yet of the academy yet, still, he liked Anith's plan. " At least she won't be bored with that. " I told him that I was going to teach an advanced class for combat magic.

I went back to cooking and finished when Anith came in the door with her brother. Loriz had never eaten my food and Anith told him it was the best food she's ever had. He invited himself and I had plenty to go around. I set a place for him and the whole group sat together while I showed them the new memory I could play for them like a movie.

It was when I learned to use magic and when Calay started to teach me about the world. Everyone laughed when they saw me breaking a bunch of spells as they blew up in my face. We talked after that and I heard Anith and her brother talking about my food. " How did you get this good with cooking? When did you learn this skill, or did it come naturally to you?" They all looked at me and I just told them it was from when I was living in the other world. " I learned to cook from my First life and I got really good at it, The hard part was finding the ingredients here, they all have different names here."

Everyone looked at Brad and he told them he was not lying, "John was just as good as he is now. He just makes different meals than what I'm used to." Brad said to everyone, then we finished our meal and I cleaned. Terra came up from behind me and she asked, "What if we started a family once you were done with school?" She put her soft fussy hand on my shoulder, I was washing a dish when I heard that. I stopped and looked at her, she was very adamant about that question.

" I would love to, but would it be the time right now, I mean What will happen if I wasn't here and someone tried to hurt you and the kids." I started to think about the worst till She calmed me down when she put her hand on my face when I turned to her. "My parents will be here with us and Father would protect them. plus being a friend of the Royal family has its benefits." She said to me as she kissed my face, I went back to doing the last dishes when I felt her grabbing her stomach.

I saw she looked very different from before and I so I asked her, "That wasn't what you meant was it?" She turned to me and showed me that she was indeed pregnant with our child or children. I walked over to her and hugged her tight and told her. "Next time just tell me this right away, I just felt that question was kind of weird coming from you." She smiled at me and she kissed me right on my lips and told me she's been this way since we last had time alone together.

She didn't know how to tell me about having this little person inside of her, She was scared that I didn't want to have kids yet. "When someone becomes a parent, they aren't ready for it no matter how much they think they are ready for it," I told her and she hugged me went to tell her family the good news. They were in the living room waiting for us, When I entered after Terra went into the room, I heard everyone scream in happiness. I walked in and Terra's father came up to me, Troy her father asked if I felt ok?

I looked at him and I smiled with a tear in my eye, " Yes, She told me a minute ago and I'm still processing it. I'm happy, but I'm scared about if I'm going to be enough to keep that kid safe." I said to him and he put his hand on my shoulder, "You will be more than enough for the child, plus his uncle and Grandfather will be here for them." Troy said to me while he smacked my back, I smiled right after I went into the room fully. I hugged Terra's mother and she was telling me that she was going to be making baby clothes for the child.

We laughed and talked about what my future with Terra and the child was going to be like. Anith and her brother about an hour later left for home. They thanked me for the meal and congratulated me on the baby to be. I blushed a bit and wished them a good safe night, right before I closed my door I felt a cold chill run down my spine. It was much like when Calay's brother came to the kingdom a year ago.

Then I heard nothing for a minute, right when I opened the door I saw the land was dark and snow began to fall. This was to be known as the great snowfall of the new century, Every one hundred years a cold harsh winter crushes the whole country. This is when the evil part of the world likes to show its fangs and take over for a year or two. This time can sometimes last only a few days and a kingdom can be erased from the world.

Then I saw a cloud of smoke in the distance near the castle, I looked back to Terra and Brad. I told them to stay here while I went to see what the damage was. When I left Brad put up a protective barrier around the house.

When I got to the castle I saw nothing but the rubble, I saw that Anith had saved her family with her magic shield. For the rest of the servants and people in the castle that was another story.
