Mana shield

"Kueckk" The goblin boss fell.

"Man I'm bored of killing these goblins." Will said while picking up the drops.

"Heh, Got the sword again." Even Silver didn't have this kind of luck in the novel.

This was the 6th time Will was raiding the goblin dungeon since he got his spell upgraded.

Out of these 6 times Will got the sword 2 time.

Thus in total he had raided the dungeon 7 times and got the sword 3 times.

This may not sound much at first, but if one considers the low drop rate of the item and Will getting it almost 50 % of the times. Well , one could surely say he was one of the luckiest.

"2 more weeks and then the academy would start...Before it starts it's better to get a defence spell. Hmm I do have enough money to buy a G rank one."

Will looked in his dimensionaly ring.

He had a total of 68,800 R. (23,800R when he only had lightning bolt + 45000R due to 5 times before this)

"Hmm... 68,800....After selling the drops I got in this dungeon I'll get 17000R more thus bringing my total to 85800. I guess it is enough."

With this Will exited the dungeon.

Will was standing in front of Spell Library.

This building housed all the spell books of divine, that it had kept for students to buy from.

He entered it and saw rows of computers.

Now when one says a spell library, one would imagine that there would be rows and rows full of spell books and not these computers.

But Divine made it such that as there were 1000's of spell books in its control. If one had to make a library showing all those, it would occupy atleast 1/5 of the total campus.

Further, guarding such a place would have been tough and very costly too.

So instead they made this area.

The computers had data of all the spell books available for purchase.

Thus a student could browse and then place his order.

Further, the computer also had a search bar which made it easy for students to search for books.

For example, a student could just write "Defence rank G" and voila, all the books available which matched this was showed to him. Further, the student could adjust the cost, the mana consumed by the book etc which further helped him search for the book he wanted.

Thus this promoted the ease of doing business for the students too.

Will sat in front of one of the computers and started browsing.

"Hmm... Defence rank G price under 85000 and search"

He got 20 matches.

He then proceeded to shortlist some of them.

After an hour or so, he shortlisted 3 books

Rock dome (Rank G) - create a rock dome around you to protect from physical and mana attacks. The caster cannot move while being inside the dome, nor can he see the outside world.

Mana consumption - medium

Price - 70000

Earth armour(Rank G) - create an armour of earth around your upper body.Protects from physical and mana attacks. Movement speed reduced.

Mana consumption - low

Price - 80000

Mana Shield(Rank G) - create flying shields around you. Protects from both physical and mana attacks. Strength of shield proportional to mana used(Can even stop an attack of one rank above).

Mana consumption - High to super High.

Price - 70000

The mana consumption signified how many times could a mage use these spells.

For example, Low mana consumption meant that a mage with G rank mana could use the G rank spell 8-9 times. Similarly medium meant 5-6 times and high meant 1-2 times.

Because of this mages generally preferred spells with low mana consumption as it enabled them to cast more spells. And the ability to cast 1 extra spell meant the difference between life and death.

Hence, those spells which consumed lesser mana were more popular and hence more costly.

'Rock dome and earth armour are the two most bought spells by mages. But rock dome would trap me inside the dome, and I would also not be able to see what is happening outside sooooo rejected.'

'Rock armour is quite good. But reducing my speed....as it is it is locked at G level. I dont think I'd want it to reduce even more. Further it wont protect me from other mana attacks soooo rejected'

'Mana shield..... No one buys this spell as it consumes the highest mana....Hence so cheap....But well since I already have such high mana I dont have to worry about it. Further, it can protect from attacks of 1 rank above. This is the reason why even when it consumes lot of mana, it is this costly....'

Protection from one rank above spell simply meant that while the even while being a G rank spell it could protect Will from F rank attacks.

'Yes Let's buy mana shield only.' Will then clicked the button to buy the spell.

On the screen came, "Spell will be delivered to student's dorm room in about 30 minutes. Please pay the amount then."

Will smiled and returned to his dorm room , waiting for his spell.

New spell wohoo
