Brown Wolf's Forest

As soon as Will entered the dungeon, without even looking at his surroundings he formed 8 lightning bolts and 1 lightning arrow around him.

Furthermore, one could also see a shield moving in front of him.

Only after this did Will look around him.

A lush green forest.

The sun's rays were penetrating in between the trees, and the birds were singing, all in all a beautiful and peaceful place.

'Peaceful place, my foot.'

In the world there were different types of dungeons.

Some were room oriented like the Goblin's cave, where a person defeated the monsters in the room and moved to the next room.

While others were open spaces like the current dungeon. In these dungeons there were no rooms, rather the monsters were distributed across the landscape.

Further these dungeon were quite big, giving the adventurers good amount of space to move.

Will heard rustling in the bushes in front of him.

Out of them came a wolf. Sharp teeths, sharp claws, dark brown fur.

It's eyes fixed at Will as if it was looking at it's food. "Grrr"

'Let me first check the strength of the shield' Will didnt attack and instead waited for the wolf to attack.

The wolf slowly came towards Will, as if trying to measure him up.

When it was sure that Will wont attack, it pounced towards him.

"Crash" The wolf's head struck the shield that had come in between him and Will when he pounced at him.

"howl howl" the wolf fell on the ground.

'Hmm not even a scratch on the shield. That's good. Better finish it quick.' Will smiled.

The wolf stood up and shook it's head and regained it's balance.

"Grrrrr" It became angry now and pounced again.

While it was in mid air, a bolt struck it out of nowhere.

"Hooowlll" the wolf fell and turned into white light.

'Hmm I guess the power of bolt increased after the spell upgraded into lightning arrow. Else, I dont think a normal bolt can one hit kill the brown wolf'

Will moved towards the place where the wolf disappeared and dropped the items.

*Brown Wolf's meat Rank G*

*Brown Wolf's Claw Rank G*

*Brown Wolf's teeth Rank G*

*Vitality pill Rank G*

"Wow I got all the items I could have gotten from the brown wolf" Will smirked.

The open landscape dungeons were considered much more dangerous than the room type dungeons.

And Why ? Simply because these open landscape dungeons just didnt give the adventurers space to move but also the monsters.

And as such, an adventurer could be attacked at any time here.

"Growl"

Will in his hindsight saw a brown silhouette jumping towards him.

"F**k" Will didnt even have the time to look towards it when it was right upon Will.

"Crash" The wolf fell.

Thankfully Will was able to move the shield between him and the pouncing wolf.

The shield was controlled by a person's thought process and luckily Will immediately commanded the shield to move there.

If Will would have been too surprised and would not have given the command then he would definitely have been injured right now, or worse, dead and inside the wolf's stomach.

Will didnt even wait for the wolf to stand up and immediately a bolt struck it, thereby killing it.

'Phew. This is why this is the toughest Rank G dungeon. I cant be complacent. Damn. need to be careful and alert all the time.' Will slapped both his cheeks to bring his focus around him.

"Let's move forward"

---------------------

---------------------

"howlll" The wolf got converted into white light and disappeared.

This was the 10th wolf that Will had killed.

'Phew. Atleast I got my return ticket.' Will swiped the sweat on his forehead.

In the room type dungeons one had the opportunity to exit after each room but it was not the same for the open landscape ones (as there were no rooms !)

To exit an open landscape dungeon, one had to kill atleast 10 monsters.

After killing 10, one had the opportunity to leave whenever he/she wanted to leave. They just had to think about exiting the dungeon and voila, they would be out of it.

Though many a times this backfired on adventurer's teams too.

Imagine a scenario where a team got surrounded. Now some of them may want to leave while other's may want to fight.

Since leaving the dungeon was individual's choice, many times few members of the team left in these kinds of tough situation, thus ruining the chance of other members to continue and hence they had to leave too, else fighting in tough situations without the whole team definitely meant either injury or death.

Will walked for 15-20 m more and came in an open ground.

He suddenly heard some noises and looked here and there.

2 wolves came from the front while 1 came from the back.

'S**t, I'm surrounded'

Nice ending ? :P
