Chapter 8: Frost Monarch

Upon my confession to Ranni, she accepted my vow as I put the ring on her finger.

Following that Ranni had taken out the Darkmoon Greatsword that was solely unique to her as she created it.

She took the Darkmoon Greatsword from out of her storage space Ring which I had made and given her long ago as a copy of my own Space Storage Ring.

As for why she gave me a Greatsword as a wedding gift, that is because a Moon Greatsword, bestowed by a Carian queen upon her spouse is to honor long-standing tradition of the Carian Royal Family.

And Rennala rules over a matriarchal monarchy, meaning that Ranni is next for the throne despite Rykard and Radahn being the older siblings.

It meant that females had the power more than males, which is why Radagon was called King-Consort in both marriages with Rennala and Marika.

Upon the Darkmoon Greatsword, Ranni had given to me, it had her sigil on it.

Ranni's sigil is a full moon, cold and leaden, and the sword is but a beam of its light.

By giving the Moon Greatsword to me it is akin to meaning she gave a part of herself, her power to me to use, and that I am to use it to both defend and honor her until death and beyond.

All that was left now was the Elden Ring itself.

The Elden Ring is comprised of multiple Runes, each one representing a different aspect to given and control Reality. Because the Rune of Death is missing and had been removed from the Elden Ring.

That meant that no one in the Lands Between could die, instead they would simply resurrect and reincarnate with their memories intact after a unknown period of time.

This was how Marika earned the title of Queen Marika the Eternal.

Looking at her fractured body, I took Marika's head from off the ground and placed it upon her broken body which serves as the vessel of the Elden Ring.

The Elden Ring glowed and revealed itself within her body.

I, alongside Ranni, too control of the Elden Ring.

Ranni had placed her own Mending Rune of the Moons within the Elden Ring as I placed my own one inside.

A Mending Rune can only be formed by certain individuals that have the potential to repair and heal the fractured Elden Ring, hence the multiple endings in the game.

I had prepared and understood what I had wanted to do for a long time just like Ranni which is why I also have a Mending Rune.

Mine is the Mending Rune of the Monarch.

While Ranni's merged perfectly with the Elden Ring and the two curving upwards arcs inside it was hers, mine was a series of multiple Norse viking Runes from Earth that was around the center of the Elden Ring like a clock.

As for why mine is like that, it's because I wanted to imbue the Elden Ring with the meaning of all the Viking Runes and have control of the positive and negative aspects of each Rune.

For example:

Fehu grants Money, Hope, Luck, Success and Happiness. If you invert the Rune the opposite way like a mirror reflection then it will grant negative effects such as Failure and Loss.

There is a total of 24 Viking Runes and the first one is just an example.

But I didn't stop there.

I had kept Marika's own Rune of Rebirth.

The Rune of Rebirth is what replaced the Rune of Death, it takes the form of Marika's stake, basically its the top curving upwards arc.

However, rather than taking it out and replacing it, I kept it and placed the Rune of Death back into place, but this time it is above Marika's Rune of Rebirth.

Causing a perpetual cycle of Life and Death to occur allowing for the soul to be truly Immortal while the physical body is Mortal, allowing for Rebirth and Reincarnation.

Additionally, I placed the Guidance of Grace within the Rune of Death and Marika's Stake.

This would essentially effect all beings and allow them to see the guidance of Grace but with specific methods with the appropriate rewards and consequences for doing so.

Another addition to the Elden Ring is Fia's Mending Rune of the Death-Prince.

However, since Godwyn, who would've been called the Death-Prince, is already permanently dead, and I already have the full-wheel of the Centipede in my possession, I was able to effortlessly recreate Fia's Rune but as my own Mending Rune of Death.

The Mending Rune of Death went in the same place as it originally did, at the bottom of the Elden Ring.

I wasn't done yet, as after I had done all this, I used the Elden Ring to empower and perfect Miquella's Unalloyed Gold Needle.

I then created a suitable servant using the Elden Ring to create life in the way I envision it.

After that I went to Crumbling Farum Azula and went to Dragonlord Placidusax's secret boss arena by time traveling backwards in time.

I then had Miquella's Unalloyed Gold Needle absorb the Time properties of Placidusax's Time Storm allowing the Needle to be able to manipulate Time and ward of Outer Gods themselves, such as the Frenzied Flame.

Doing this is the only way for the player to avoid the Frenzied Flame ending, because once obtaining the Flame of Frenzy, all other endings will be locked and only the Frenzied Lord ending will occur. That is unless the player did what I had just done now, this will allow the player the freedom to choose any ending in the game so long as they did the questlines. They could still activate the Frenzied Flame Ending, but now they can choose if they want to or not activate it on their own free will.

Seeing the opportunity while i was here, I used my power with the Elden Ring to simply snap.

The result was that i had erased Drahonlord Placidusax from existence, only to resurrect him a moment later as a obedient servant in his prime.

His missing heads and wounded body had been fully restored to it's original form that had 5 heads, two arms, two legs, one tail and two pairs of wings.

Seeing that my recreation of Placidusax was successful, I made him into one of my Blood Companions to replace the Storm Lord Tiger Regal I had lost.

I needed a replacement Blood Companion with Lighting affinity and Placidusax is the true first Elden Lord ever and was consort to the Dragon God of his era.

Aftward I went to confront the Three Fingers deep deep below Lyndell's surface, I sent my created servant to claim the Flame of Frenzy with Miquella's Unalloyed Gold Needle in her possession.

I had made the servant a female one so that I can program it with artificial memories and an obsession of utter love and loyalty towards me, to help it resist the Frenzied Flame's desire to destroy all life and in turn me.

That and with the female servant possessing the Unalloyed Gold Needle had allowed it to ignore the Frenzied Flame's influence and remained loyal to me completely.

Shabriri arrived but I used Destined Death to kill the Undead body of a long deceased Frenzied Merchant that was down here.

Shabriri died and that was one less problem dealt with.

Shabriri had merged with the Frenzied Flame long ago making him unkillable in every way, but Destined Death is capable of killing him regardless of his current state.

I returned to the Erdtree where I then removed the Elden Ring from my own body and placed it within Marika's husk of a body once more.

The servant approached the Elden Ring only to result in her body being engulfed in flames and that of which entered the Elden Ring itself.

However, the Frezied Flame didn't take control of the Elden Ring but rather was imprisoned within it thanks to what I had done.

I had placed the final Rune, the Mending Rune of Order that my created copy of the future Tarnsihed Goldmask, would one day discover, had made.

The Goldmask copy was given the memories I had of the game and the various paths the original game Goldmask took in order to understand the imperfection of the Golden Order so that he can create the Mending Rune of Perfect Order.

However, I had modified the Mending Rune from being one of Perfect Order, to just Order.

This paired with the Rune of Death and Rune of Rebirth created a Paradox that the Frenzied Flame was unable to counter and break free of.

As such, the Rune of Rebirth and Rune of Death became the prison that contained the Frenzied Flame at the top of the Elden Ring.

With the Elden Ring fully restored and perfected, I immediately used it and banished every Outer God from the Lands Between.

1 - I destroyed the Erdtree and healed the Great Tree (aka The Crucible) which the Erdtree had been leeching on all this time.

2 - Removed the Rot God and its Scarlet Rot essence from the Lake of Rot and the Lands Between.

3 - Killed the last Fire Giant which had the remnant of the Fell God living inside of.

(A/n Adan, Thief of Fire miniboss in game stole a Flame Incantation in lore that reveals that the Fell God didn't die and lives on in the "Eye of the Beholder". This meant the Fire Giant's phase 2 eye that's revealed.)

4 - Extinguished the Flame of the Giants, but only after I had harnessed and absorbed its power into the Elden Ring.

5 - I Cured Blaidd of his "Order 66" madness and merged his body with the brainwashed Maliketh.

Now Blaidd had the power and body of Maliketh but was still able to revert to his smaller original Humanoid wold appearance.

6 - I had calculated how much of Ciri's blood I had left and what I would need to do. Luckily I had enough so I used a small amount of the Elderblood to teleport to the Dark Souls Universe for a pit stop.

Specifically I had time-space travelled to the time or the War of the Ancients.

Basically when the Gods Gwyn, Nito, and the Witch of Izalith along with the Human forces that the Furtive Pygmy provided to help battle against the Ancient Dragons.

There are three types of Dragons.

True Everlasting Archdragons that were born before the First Flame emerged in the world, meaning they don't possess souls. The Black Dragon Kalameet is one of these because he doesn't have a soul and is still classified as an Archdragon.

Everlasting Archdragons. These ones are born after the First Flame emerged and thus they possess souls. Seath the Scaless and Darkeater Midir are Dragons that have souls.

False Dragons, these are simply the descendents of interbreeding over many generations which caused Wyverns, Hydras and abominations like the Gaping Dragon to exist.

I came to this time and place for a few reasons.

The first took me a while but I had searched and searched until I saw a Silver Kinght carry a black Dargon Egg while being escorted.

This has to be Midir's Dragon Egg.

In Dark Souls 3, Darkeater Midir is a Dragon that in the game description said that he was raised by the Gods of Anor Londo. He was eventually given as a "gift" to the Pygmy Lords along with the Ringed City as a "reward" for their help in the Dragon War.

But in the end it was just a lie meant to serve as a prison while Midir was its warden preventing anything, even the Dark Soul and the Abyss from escaping the Ringed City.

I swiftly teleported and just yoinkwd the Dragon Egg from out of their hands a d teleported to a safe distance away.

I placed the Egg inside my Storage Ring which had a Time Formation inside it.

Once I found the the City of Oolacile I made myself a safe burrow and hid inside it for the next few thousand years until the Chosen Undead of the first Dark Soul game arrives and slays the Black Dragon Kalameet after he/she time travels to the past from the future.

The few thousand years of solitude was quite pleasent buy lonely. Although I was only a [Shadow Copy] so it didn't matter. I did spend my time raising Midir to be a good loyal Dragon.

Arriving at Kalameet's corpse I harvested his body of the scales and bones but found the Obsidion Greatsword within his tail and the Calamity Eye of Kalameet missing.

Knowing that the Chosen Undead had taken it and would return to the Mushroom Guardian Elizabeth, I went to the sanctuary to wait for the Chosen Undead's return.

I waited for them to return and turns out it was a he.

I managed to convince the Chosen Undead to give me the Obsidion Greatsword and the Calamity Eye in exchange for invaluable information about the other Gods which he must face to claim the Lord Souls from.

The Chosen Undead agreed to my deal and I gave useful tips and knowledge on each Lord Soul bearer when I asked which one he wants to know about since I naturally don't know about his future (present) time yet or what he has done so far.

For example I told him to use Divine weapons against the Skeletons in Gravelord Nito's tomb to prevent them from resurrecting.

Also about how he needs a certain Ring from the Centipede Demon to cross the lake of fiery of Izalith to reach the Witch of Izalith safely.

Having concluded my business in Dark Souls I returned to the Elden Ring verse and continued with what I needed to do.

7 - I created a fuck ton of items using the power of the Elden Ring and the best Blacksmiths in the Lands Between.

Darkmoon Greatsword - enhanced its size from 1.64 meters to 2.33 meters.

I also made my height grow to match Ranni's and the other Demigids size so I am not looked down upon when I return to my world. I was 2.5 meters tall now, just as tall as Radagon.

I am able to weird the Darkmoon Greatsword with a single hand now like it was an normal sized longsword.

My twinblade was also made to become 2.97 meters in length.

The other items I made were as follows:

• Kalameet's Twinblade - enhanced my previous Twinblade and made it by Merging Kalameet's Bones and the Obsidion Greatsword together.

• Liraak's Scale Robes - used Kalameet's Dragon Scales and made them a blue color. Also named after the Water Eldwyrm Dragon Liraak from the Dota series cause why not.

• Divine Storage Ring - a Space Storage Ring that can grow infinity based solely on the size of my Sea of Conciousness.

• Dimensional Ring - a Ring that contains a seperate Dimension on its own. I intend to use this to place the entirely of the Lands Between inside of so i can place it back in my world wherever I chose to found my Nation.

• Byssrak's Amulet - Named after Dota's Void Eldwyrm Byssrak. This Amulet can create a Spatial shield that absorbs kinetic energy and strengthens just like Vibranium. I gave this to Ranni to help protect her since she is a Mage primarily.

• Vahdrak's Ring - Named after Dita's Chaos Eldwyrm Vahdrak. The ring allows me to phase my body into a seperate Dimension briefly just like Noah Balvan's Shadow Domain spell, and avoid harm of all kinds briefly.

• Workshop Ring - an imitation of Great Builder's workshop Ring, it has multiple artificially created golems of various forms each serving a purpose. This workshop Ring is meant to create anything I need of it for me rather than me having to do so myself. I need another Strorage Ring made to give to someone? The Workshop inside the ring will instruct the golems to create a Spatial ring and even engrave the necessary Formations and Inscriptions onto the Ring, so long at the materials are provided and the knowledge of how to create it, anything can be made.

• Lastly is the Calamity Eye, I simply just analysed it using my Divine Deduction Technique and the Elden Ring to its fullets capabilities. I didn't know what to do with the Calamity Eye so I just kept it for the time being.

8 - the final thing I did with the Elden Ring's power was to transfer the souls of every being in the Lands Between into new bodies, identical to their old ones, except i had made their new bodies possess the Dantian, Body and Mind - Centers of Power a Cultivator Possesses.

I did this by easily using a dead Cultivator's body, which i had in my Space Ring, to use as a template.

I tried to make all the beings of the Lands Between as Rank 5 Cultivators by using my body as a template.

However, I realised that wouldn't work because a few Omen's had died because of the sudden rush of energy that overflowed into their bodies and souls from the Rank 5 Dantian.

I used many Omens to experiment on this issue and eventually the highest I could give them all were to make them as Rank 3 Cultivators.

This was still better than nothing and had boosted my military power by leaps and bounds.

I didn't take this risk with the Demigods and chose to make them as Rank 0 Cultivators.

They needed to learn the hard and proper way as to not hamper their growth since I intend for them to accompany me all they way into the Immortal Lands one day.

It wasn't a big deal since Noah and other characters in the novel Haven't been born yet so they had a headstart and an advantage of me personally helping them in their Cultivation journey.

I also did the same to my Blood Companions and seperated them from my body since I am a [Shadow Copy]. I will allow them to merge with the real body themselves to not cause problems.

Regal and Draaz were killed because of Maliketh via Destined Death, so that meant that he was able to erase the Blood Companions from my real body as well since we share a mental Hive Mind still.

Through the Hive Mind Telepathy connection we had, the real body obviously knew what happened and that I was getting replacement Blood Companions already.

I had to use artificially recreate the water attribute Shen Long Dragon Emperor using the extra corpses of the same creature I had in my Storage Ring.

Having recreated my water attribute Blood Companion, I named him Dru'ul this time round.

As for my Wind Blood Companion, I just wanted to be a fanboy and create the Elder Dragon Primordial Malzeno from Monster Hunter World: Sunbreak.

Now that I was completely done in the Elden Ring verse, I used the power of the Elden Ring one more time and placed the entirely of the Lands Between inside of my Dimensional Ring.

Once that was done I used the last remaing Elderblood I had taken from Ciri and used it to return to my previous world.

Moments later upon feeling that I had returned to the Niflheim Sect, I could feel the power of the Elden Ring fade away.

This was because of the Greater Will being absent as well as the Elden Ring was meant to govern reality in the Elden Ring universe, the power faded and the Elden Ring is currentpy useless.

Additionally, the reason I made new bodies with Centers of Powers for everyone is because their strength was previously solely dependent on Runes, but now that is non existent, hence they would have been powerless were it not for what I did.

Normally one wouldn't be able to do what I did by transferring someone into a body with Rank 1 Centers of Power or higher without them instantly dying.

However, the inhabitants of the Lands Between are High-Multiversal to Outerversal entities and I had used the Elden Ring's power to safely transfer their souls into the new bodies of Rank 3 Centers of Power with no issues.

Using my Hive Mind connection I found out where my real body was and teleported over to him with haste. Because of our shared consciousness there was no need for words.

I gave him all my equipment and the Dimensional Ring before the real body placed a hand on my head and we closed our eyes.

Tallon [Real Body] pov:

Having merged the [Shadow Copy] back into my body, I absorbed all his memories.

Though I was connected to him through a Hive Mind, I can't retain all the memories the [Shadow Copy] experienced or else my perception and mind would go haywire with trying to process all that information at the same time, especially because of the Time Dialation between worlds.

Now that I merged with both the [Shadow Copy] I had sent to other worlds, I put my Dimensional Ring on along with my new equipment into the Divine Space Ring I just received.

"Shiraori." I called out and a moment later a girl with white hair in a maid's outfit appeared.

"What is it now?..." She asked in a bored voice.

"Ah ah ah, you forgot one part." I said as I did put on the biggest grin I could pull of.

She stared at me with eyes full of murderous intent only to sigh and finish the sentence.

"What is it now...master...?"

I smiled at the teasing and torture she must be enduring. My second [Shadow Copy] had went to the So I'm A Spider, So What?! Universe and become friends with Wakaba (D in disguise) and Kumoko.

When the classroom explosion happened all the students gor reincarnated while my [Shadow Copy] had teleported away to hide from D and then teleported to the New World.

Kumoko, the classroom Spider was reincarnated and given Wakaba's memories by D so to use Kumoko as a cover up meat shield for herself.

I had found Kumoko and helped her het strobger. Eventually after travelling for a while and after helping Kumoko gain her real memories of her being the classroom spider with (D) Wakaba's false memories the relationship between us became stronger.

The [Shadow Copy] helped her to gain a Humanoid form along with giving the new name of Shiraori to her.

The [Shadow Copy] also made a small scale bet with her and made her into his maid for a certain period of time.

After traveling together for a while the [Shadow Copy] revealed his true origin of being from this world but not that he was a [Shadow Copy] of the real me.

Shiraori didn't care about the other world so she came with the [Shadow Copy] here, I merged with the [Shadow Copy] and the rest is history.

Shiraori has romantic feelings for me cause the [Shadow Copy] is her only and best friend also being the only person that was there for her when she needed help the most.

"Can you come with me to greet our guests, I should also introduce my wife to them." I said as I was getting into appropriate robes to greet the Royals Thaddeus and Lisa.

"W-w-w-wife?!" Shiraori screamed out loud, but because of the sound proof lining all throughout the room no one outside heard.

"Why are you reacting in such a way? Could it be that you are in love with me? Did you want to marry me too?" I teased as I turned to look at her blushing face.

Shiraori didn't know how to reply and her mouth just kept opening and closing.

"You are aware that I am the Patriarch of this Sect. It isn't uncommon to have concubines or multiple wives." I uncaringly said as I finished putting on my robes. I never liked it when others helped me do this. Though I wouldn't mind Ranni or Shiraori doing it for me.

I didn't turn around but I can tell Shiraori was blushing and smiled a little.

She never actually talks to anybody except people she is familiar with and if she does she doesn't talk much and keeps tobherself.

"Could you go and tell our guests that I will be with them shortly."

Thaddeus and Lisa had been here as guests for roughly two days. Ariel may not look it but she was the bastard daughter of a Noble family in the Papral Nation.

I had recruited her at that time and provided her refuge when she saw the opportunity to escape the obusive treatment she endured.

Ariel was naturally taught in how to interact with nobles of other families and that was why I had trusted her to greet the Royals that came.

Seeing Shiraori leave the room silently without another word, I took out my Dimensional Ring and sent some Breath inside of it.

("Breath" is the "mana" used to cast spells and techniques in Demonic Sword world for those that don't know. It's also what is needed to cultivate.)

The Breath activated and Automaton that was with each of the Demigods, but only Ranni's one was activated.

The Automaton helped Ranni to leave the Lands Between that was within my Dimensional Ring and entered the real world.

"This is a perculiar sensation I am feeling. This must be the source called "Breath" you said was in the surroundings." Ranni said her evaluations out loud as she inspected her surroundings after realising it was just the two of us.

"Nice to see you that you are taking the change and sudden loss of your power better than I'd expected."

"The others are quite frustrated. Especially me. Neither of us are able to use our Magic the same way as before."

"Same way as before?" I asked confused on how she phrased it.

"Yes. Before the change, we all decided to gather together at the Elden Throne so we can discuss what happens. Upon the change we quickly came to release a strange new energy source had completely engulfed the Lands Between. Miquella was the first to determine how to harness the power from the surroundings and told us about it. We all did as he instructed and we're able to infuse this new energy into our selves to augment our abilities and spells. Additionally, the so called Martial Arts and such, as you call it, were able to be performed with this energy like before for Malenia, Rykard and the others." Ranni explained what the others had done from when I had transported back to this world.

"But that was only minutes ago! How could you all have already figured out how to use "Breath" that quickly?!"

"You forget that Miquella and I were the most gifted in using and forcing different forms of powers to submit to our will. I had learned how to do this because of the mystery and the hidden understandings the Dark Moon revealed to me. Miquella understood it because he used the teachings and understanding of the Eclipse. Although our spells are mostly limited in power while we are unable to use some others that we had created to mimic the magics of the other Outer God's."

"That is natural. Anything with a connection to those Outer Gods would no longer be available to you all. Also I will teach you all on how to Cultivate properly later than the vague explanation I gave before. Come now, we have guests to greet. They are Thaddeus Elbas and Lisa Elbas of the Royal family."

"Already gotten in trouble with the so called King Elbas of this nation I see." Ranni teased as a small smile appeared on her face.

I just sighed and didn't want to argue that it was Ciri's fault this all happened or I would look petty for blaming someone else.

Going with Ranni we approached the main room where Shiraori, using her sensory abilities as a Spider, was able to detect us and opened the doors for us to enter.

"Greetings Lord Thaddeus, Lady Lisa. I must apologise for keeping you waiting for so long but you arrival was unannounced." I greeted the duo of Royals as I gave a courteous bow, Ranni followed suite and did the same.

The Royals stood up and greeted us in turn as Thaddeus was the one to represent the two and speak first.

"We must be the one to apologise to you Patriarch Tallon. Please, no need for formalities as we were the one in the wrong for having come unannounced. However, a recent development in your territory had called for our sudden departure from the Academy to here when the disturbance was detected." Thaddeus said as Lisa and himself bowed in turn to not show disrespect.

I took a seat opposite Thaddeus on a marvelously designed sofa. Everything in this room would be enough to make Thaddeus hire a group of criminals to try and steal it.

Everything here was from the Death inheritance I had received so why not put it to use in showing of my wealth and power to them.

King Elbas ruled over a Constitutional Monarchy, although the Utra Nation can be considered to fall under his command as an partially-Absolute Monarchy but not fully.

The Utra Nation is divided in power between the Royals and the many Noble Families and Sects spread throughout the Utra Nation.

Large Sized Noble Families and Sects such as my Niflheim Sect, thanks to the wealth and power I gained over the last few hundred years in this world along with the Death Inheritance, and my own family which my sister and mother are apart of the Luminous Family, aka Starlight Sect.

The Royals can't offend me because I made my territory in the southern regions of the Utra Nation near to the sea than anything.

(A/n I don't know the actual location and Formation of the continent even after re reading the Demonic Sword novel a bunch of times. All I can determine is the Empire conqoured the the central region, the Utra Nation is closer to the Archipelago which must be on the East Side of the Empire. Maybe South-East. The Papral Nation is either far South or somewhere in the Western region. The Utra and Papral Nation are neibouring territories though all this info can be incorrect since Noah had to travel on the Empire's borders to flee the Utra Nation to eventually reach the Archipelago. Within my territory I possess multiple Obsidion Credit mines along with mining a particular terrain called Vostrum.

Vostrum is used by the Empire's commoners as a Rank 3 Body-Nourishing method.

Vostrum can only be found near the sea and as such was the prime reason I had made my territory near to the sea.

Additionally, I was known for having a decent military force along with many innovating ideas which I used to gain political sway and influence amongst the other Noble Families and Royals.

The Royals can't offend me and harm our relations because I have begun to catch King Elbas' eye since my various experiments with Vostrum had begun to interest him.

I had hinted about two new Body-Nourishing methods and if successful I will give one of them to the Royals while the other I will keep.

Naturally Elbas wouldn't be able to force me because my reputation as the Frost Monarch has been growing in recent decades.

As the Frost Monarch people have come to know just how ruthless I can be to those that enters the sleeping Dragon's cave.
