Training

Yesterday really had an effect on me. In the end, after the shock, everyone went to party. I still wondering though, is space and time affinity so rare?. I know it's special but at least a hundred people should have it.

'I'm going to sleep the day of.' I thought. I told the butlers that no one should disturb me but the moment I put myself under the covers hundreds of scrolls fell on me and a loud whistle was blown.

PHEEEEEE!!!!!

"Aaaaah! knock it off." I turned around to see mom in a green jump suit. Seeing the confused look on my face, she explained. " You've awakened silly, it's time for training, who's gonna be the next emperor!"

PHEEEEEE!!!!!

Outside the room, someone could be seen balling up his fists in anger and walking away.

In the end I got dragged out of bed to one of the large training halls in the castle. This one particularly looked like a dojo. We sat down crosslegged on the marble floor.

Mom put her palm on my forehead and started humming and mummering. "Hmmm, I see , weak, hmm, needs improvement, hmm. Okay!!. I've seen your stats and to sum it up in one word, it's weak. W-E-A-K. You need to improve and that's why I'm here.

Suddenly 6 scrolls appeared out of thin air. " That's my inventory, it's another function of the system. These scrolls are known as skill scrolls. They have been picked based on your affinities an.."

"Mom I have a question. Why was everyone so shocked when the my found out I had space and time affinities?." I asked

Mom sighed before she explained. "You're the first person after Sariel Paragus to wield the power of space and time. Your dad must have told you about him. His death is quite a mystery to us all. His body was never found. Only his robes. Also, before you ask, my affinities are water and lightning. Deadly combination right?.

I'm a rank 14 overlady. Your brother is still at rank 7. Learn these skill scrolls and master them. I looked at the scrolls and checked the names. There was [ Time clone ], [ Space barrier ], [Loophole (T)], [Loophole (S)], [Future sight] and [Shredder]

All the names sound awesome. I'm having trouble to pick. "Relax, they are all simplified versions of high rank moves made. They've been simplified to rank 2. So which one first?." I picked a random one and it was the [future sight].

The rank 2 version only allows you to see the future for 2 seconds. What a bummer. Still I'm not gonna give up so I'll give it my all. I opened the scroll and I saw a long writing in gold letters.

I read it and I was deeply engrossed in it. So much that an hour passed. After those that one hour, the scroll stated to glow golden and it turned into particles that faded into my body.

"Now that's new" said my mother. "Skill books don't glow golden and dissasipate. Hmm. What could be wrong ?. I get it!, it's one of those one time use scrolls that Sariel created. I thought they were myths."

While my mother was making her speculations my stat panel got it's first skill and something else surprised me. It was this new notification.

I was really happy seeing the reward. until

I guess I'll save it for when I'm in trouble and I have no other choice. My mother then interrupted me in the middle of my thoughts and got me to learn the other skills five hours later.

We carried out a test on my new skills. The space type [Loophole] practically allowed me to move from one in black hole in the floor to another five meters away. It took me five seconds come out of the hole which was quite abnormal for a peak rank 2.

Time [Loophole] helped me leap 3 seconds back to the past. [Future sight] helped me see thirty seconds into the future. [Time clone] brings one of me from another time dimension to fight with me.

[Shredder] opened a black hole that sucked my selected target and shredded them. [Space barrier] was pretty much a normal barrier that was quite strong but broken easily by my mom.

After magic training, we trained with martial arts and I learnt how to use my fists and legs better. Overall, the training was pretty stressful and tiring.
