Helena's eyes fluttered again trying to force herself to wake up, her head felt like it has been smashed to pieces. The darken room made her eyes open easily since she does not need to adjust it to a bright light. She heard voices of woman and man talking alternately and a woman raspy voice seemingly just done crying. She wonders who that is.

Her body felt really weak and she had no idea why, pretty much the last thing she remembers was wretching her guts out in a toilet. She tried sitting up and a pair of hands slightly covered in calluses gently helped her sitting up, her head turns sideways looking for a water to wet her dried throat. When everyone is aware she has woken up, the light in the ward is turned on and dimmed to make her feel comfortable.

Her eyes finally adjusted and she saw her mom sat on the chair next to her bed and holding her hand. Eleanor continued sobbing seeing her daughter haggard looked. While Jamaya stood at the corner with an unreadable expressions next to Elster contorted face. Her brain starts slowly awaken and she realized someone was standing next to her earlier helping her sit up. Upon looking on her right side, she saw Daniel stood with both hands in his pockets staring at her. Oh man!! Am I reincarnated again???? She thought.

"Are you my husband?"

Her intrusive thoughts came out from her mouth startling the crying Eleanor, while Daniel is amused with her questions. Despite her conditions, she is still making jokes he thought.

Just earlier today, he was losing his mind when Armano informed him that Helena was transported to a hospital. He had threaten every doctors in the hospital to do whatever it takes to saves her and even in a progress to locate Matthew Long to pay him his due.

His lips tugged upwards seeing her cheekiness , she is an absolutely gorgeous and he will never get tired seeing her alluring face every morning when he wakes up. Realizing he had spent his time there thinking and dreaming of her, he snapped from his imagination when he heard Eleanor spoke.

"Helly! What kind of question is that"

"Well then, I am definitely dead then" she sighed.

",I can assure you, you are not" Daniel spoke. Seeing as him being a stranger among the rest of family member, he knows it's time for him to leave to give them some space, since Helena doesn't even bother to spare him a glance. He had felt better seeing her awake and alert compare to her earlier.

As he is about to excuse himself, the door open revealing Daryl coming clad in his white coat straight to Helena and hugged her tight ignoring everyone that are present. He buried his head on her neck and keep sobbing since he knew why she was in this situation. Thankfully he had briefed the other doctors that he personally knew to keep the medical records confidential since there is a possibility of the patient life in danger.

Daniel jaw clenched seeing their intimacy that he decided he is gonna stay here to interview and prevent this from happening. Crossing his arm, his eyebrow furrow displease seeing them two.

"Dr. koo, you are squeezing the patient" he said casually trying hard hiding his dissatisfaction. His eyes and heart bled even more when Helena tighten the hug back ignoring his words. Pouring gasoline on the flames.

Eleanor is a woman of potential and experienced, Daniel reactions did not go unnoticed by her. She can see the young Master in front of her harboring a feeling or maybe intrigued by her daughter. She needed to intervene gently to not embarrassing anyone in the room.

"There..there Daryl, your best friend is okay! ," Eleanor reminded the doctor. Relief washed through Daniel since he is ready to drag Daryl away from her. Once he is taken an interest on something or perhaps someone, no one is allowed to be near on his possessions.

"What are you doing here?" Helena knew Daniel is still currently standing next to her and she felt restricted especially her goal in this life is to stay away from him. Pieces of past memory from the alternate life slowly making it's way back reminding her of their relationship. It has end before it even begin. Thats the tragic fate the two has encounter. She knew avoiding him will make her suffered, however she has no idea if she is part of the Cabal in this life or any other organizations.

If she does and in his life, it will be another betrayal both will have to endure. Unfortunately for her, the memory of heartbreak and betrayal will be imprinted in her memory forever while Daniel wi always have a new beginning.

"Helenaaa Rose!! Eleanor raised her voice slightly to her precious daughter. This brat is definitely rude.

"That is fine Mrs Lee, I will take my leave now"

From the corner of her eye, she can sees Daniel leaving the room, her hearts tugged again like a child tugging their mom's skirt wanting something. She knew it will hurt her to be doing this, but this is for the best, even if watching him from afar, she is happy..she felt destined to always end up watching someone she cares about from a distance. It's her curse! This is her atonement! She took so many lives, and those are someone loved ones, and she knew deep down despite all the "criminal" The cabal execute, she knew few are murder for hired, however that was the only she knew so she did it.

She is paying for it.

Elster was furious seeing Helena's behavior, right before he was to curse her brattiness, Helena suddenly shook violently, she is currently experiencing seizure and next thing all she knows the world turns pitch black, and flooded of memories rushes like a stream in the waterfall, her brain felt overloaded and she collapsed unaware that this is her breakthrough in this life.
