In the end, my proficiency and swiftness gave the goblin no opportunity to win. It was incredibly strong, but its size and power meant nothing if it could not catch me. I felt proud of my accomplishments up to this point and a cocky grin spread across my face.
I concluded that the wisest course of action was to press on further into the cave. As I ventured deeper, the area kept narrowing and appeared to be identical to the where I started. It appeared that my strategy of using the Cheat Boulder had successfully eliminated all of the goblins, leaving no living inhabitants.
After a few minutes of walking through the tight passageway, I eventually came across a regular-sized plank door with an iron handle. I thought to myself, "Could this be the way out?" I was feeling excited but apprehensive as I opened the door, anticipating that I was about to advance to the next stage.
[Entering Dangerzone!]
[Caution is advised.]
As I opened the door, I was met with an unexpected popup. "Dangerzone?" I exclaimed, a bit stunned. There was no time to contemplate what was happening; I had already stepped inside.
I was surrounded by a vast open area with bones strewn about, some of which seemed quite fresh. At the far end of the expanse was what lay ahead of me. I slowly walked forward, my feet crunching on brittle bones as I moved. The air was thick with an unpleasant smell, and I realized it was the smell of death.
I noticed carrion birds perched atop the bones, watching me with their beady eyes. As I passed by them, they cawed loudly, as if warning me to stay away. I kept walking, my heart pounding in my chest. I could feel something watching me from the darkness ahead, and I knew I had to keep going.
I finally reached the end of the expanse, where I saw a large Demonic Goblin stone altar surrounded by a number of small statues that looked like regular goblins.
I was taken aback when two goblins, their faces obscured by shadows, suddenly appeared in front of me. They were seated on thrones constructed of rock and stone. "Where did they come from?" I questioned, perplexed.
As I heard the door click shut behind me, I felt a wave of unease. Too much was happening all at once, and my heart was racing. "This isn't looking too good," I muttered to myself.
A sudden flash of light illuminated the ceiling, cast by the goblin on the right. Was this some kind of magic? The brightness dispelled the darkness and I was able to make out the details of both goblins.
The one on the left had a youthful appearance, almost resembling a human, with sharp teeth and wild hair. They were wearing full armor that had intricate designs in the shape of dragons and flames. A black katana with a silver hilt was strapped to their hip, and they stood at a powerful six feet tall. Their eyes were a deep, dark brown that seemed to look into your very soul.
The goblin on the right was an elderly one, wearing worn-out leather garments and holding a staff in his left hand. His back was arched, likely a result of his advanced age, which made him appear even shorter than even regualr goblins. The elderly goblin's face was wrinkled and weathered, but his eyes still held a spark of life. His long gray hair was pulled back into a messy bun.
I felt nothing but deadly intent coming from the two goblins as they gazed at me from their seats. They continued to stare at me, their faces twisted into ugly sneers. I could feel the malice radiating from them, I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead, and I knew I was in serious trouble.
