Reincarnated As An Anomaly

"What is life like after being reincarnated into another world for me? No memories of the past, naur do I know where I came from or how I came to be dead. I simply was reincarnated into a world I was not mean't to be in, some may refer to me as an Anomaly. Some may believe that life as a reincarnated is like a ray of sunshine but that only lasts for a brief moment before it fades away. Not everyone is blessed with great fortune or extraordinary abilities from the start. Some people may be born into difficult circumstances and have to struggle to make ends meet. I had no magical power when I was born, in a world where it was common, so I was granted a special skill called Negation. This ability is what has kept me alive, as it can cancel out any magical attack. I have encountered people who were close to me, only to witness their eventual demise right before my eyes. I have endured the loss of so many people that it has caused me to become emotionally disconnected. What is the purpose of forming relationships if the person is destined to die anyway? The road I go is too dangerous for any weak person both physically and mentally to ally with. That is the harsh reality of Reincarnating for me. But I still do not lose hope. No matter how many times I question myself, I will prevail. There must be a reason to why I was sent here and I must find out. Doesn't matter how many times I fall or how many circumstances I've endured pain like no other. Atleast during those times I had peacefull times aswell with both friends and family, so watch out world. I, Tomo Yutura, am determined to survive until the end."

Chapter 12: Disgusting Savages

As I got closer to where the smoke was coming from, I had a slight comprehensive view of what was ahead of me..

In the distance, I spotted a sizable bonfire, likely responsible for the smoke I had seen. Additionally, two people were present, both of them seeming to consume some sort of creature.

I exclaimed "Hey!" while wearing a friendly smile. As I approached them and my pace slowed, my expression faded. To my surprise, it wasn't two humans I had encountered, but two beastmen consuming the flesh of two unfortunate couples.

They were both ravenously tearing at the flesh, as if they had gone days without food. I was both horrified and sympathetic at the same time. I knew I had to do something.

Screams of horror filled the air as the people were devoured alive until the sound abruptly ceased as they perished. I was in disbelief at the atrocity I had just witnessed. It suddenly dawned on me that I had been mistaken in my belief that this was a place of paradise. Rather, I was standing in an abode of death.

The two male beastmen detected my presence and rotated slowly, displaying blood splattered all over their mouths and various areas of their bodies. Their eyes were wild and filled with malice, and their fur was matted and stained with the remnants of their recent feast. I could smell the coppery scent of the blood. I could tell by their expressions that they were both in a state of extreme hunger.

It was clear that they belonged to the wolf family given their thick fur, lengthy tail, razor-sharp claws, and pointed ears. Furthermore, they seemed to be wearing clothing made of a tough hide, with shades of purple, red, and gray.

I was perplexed, asking myself if this was a misunderstanding; should all people not be living on equal footing and in peaceful coexistence?

"Whose the kid?", questioned the beastman on the right.

The other beastman on the left laughed maniacally and sneered, "Does it make a difference? Just means more to eat for us, it's the kid's own mistake for straying into the Demonic Region."

I kept quiet as my face became emotionless and my gaze grew blank. I pulled my katana out of my Dimensional Storage, and the beastmen were taken aback by the unexpected appearance of my blade.

*DASH*

In a dash, I utilized Flashstep and suddenly materialized in front of the beastman on the left. I gripped my katana and swung it towards its head in a swift motion.

Unable to respond to my sudden and swift movements, the beastman was left with no other option but to accept the strike, which resulted in his head being sliced off clean.

The result of the slice was a gruesome one, as the beastman's head was now lying on the ground, blood pooling around him. His body stood still for a moment before collapsing lifelessly, smoke rising from the wound.

The other beastman on the right was startled and stumbled back abit. He quickly grabbed the longsword lying at his feet. "Don't come any closer!" He shouted, scared. "You're a monster!"

I spun around to face the beastman and slowly strutted towards it, with a threatening expression. "Do you really think I'm the one who deserves to be called a monster?" I questioned.

The beastman lunged his long sword at me, his movements clumsy as if he had never handled a sword before. I effortlessly sidestepped the attack and retaliated with a heavy swing of my katana towards the beastman's ribs.

As my katana clashed against the armor, my powerful slice caused a deep dent in the armor but was unable to cut through. The sheer might of my strike was such that it sent the beastman hurtling towards a nearby rock.

The beastman collided with the boulder, leading to his instant death from the force of the crash. The boulder barely budged, but the beastman's body was mangled beyond recognition.

I put my katana away in my Dimensional Storage and tried to get my rage under control. It was sickening to see those barbarians eating people. Most notably, that armor was really sturdy to be able to withstand the force of my attack.

"I failed to cut through his armor? Just what exactly is it made of?" I questioned.

I suddenly heard some faint noises coming from behind me, "Help!" I heard a small female child's voice say in a soft whisper. I quickly spun around to help the young girl who sounded only a bit younger than me.
