(Nine Years Later..)
"Tomo! Time to wake up, there is food on the table!" yelled Rebecca while frying some eggs.
"Yes Mother, I'm on my way!" I responded.
It has been a full nine years since I underwent transmigration. The time flew by and though my voice is still sneaky, I developed much faster than the average child.
Gazing in the window of my bedroom, I noticed the transformation that had taken place in me. My mother's blue oceanic eyes had been passed down to me, as had her delicate features such as long eyelashes, soft skin and long hair, although mine was a dark black. Despite having these feminine features, a serious expression and attitude most of the time allowed me to go unnoticed.
By the time I was four, I was already walking without assistance and had attained the same level of verbal, literacy, and writing skills as someone between the ages of 13 and 15. This may be due to the wealth of knowledge I had accumulated in a previous life, which to this day remains a mystery to me.
"The eggs taste delicious!" I remarked.
I crammed my mouth with the egg-and-bread dish that my mother had lovingly prepared for me.
"I'm just glad you like it"
Mother had a beaming expression on her countenance as she appeared to be filled with pride about her culinary efforts.
"In a short while I'm going to be leaving. If you would like, there are more eggs and bread on the table. I'm heading off to work, so make sure you're on your best behaviour, okay?"
"Yess mom! I'll make sure to remember."
Since I was a child, my mother has been coming home from work with her hair disheveled and her clothes in disarray. She claims that her job as a "chef" requires her to put in long hours, but I'm not convinced. Regardless, every time she leaves I get time to myself.
When my first birthday hit, the robotic voice has been giving me daily tasks to complete, awarding me points that I can use to upgrade my "Status Window". This is the name I came up with for the menu box that displays my personal information.
On normal ocassions I wouldn't waste doing these quests but it gets boring home alone so I have to pass time some way or another. Besides, I've found out that placing the Skill Points into any of my Physical Stats changes my body drastically.
The quests I was given might have varied from mundane chores to venturing outdoors to gather sticks and specific plants. I stashed all of the items in a secret spot at the rear of the house since I wasn't sure what they would be used for.
"Alright Tomo, I'll be on my way!"
"Bye mom! I'll see you tomorrow."
My mom put on a lavender outfit and quickly closed the door as she departed for work. Without any delay, I pulled up my Status Window to check my daily quest.

I was spurred on by the opportunity to acquire a new skill, so I ventured into the nearby forest.
