Chapter 110

"Stop it, Leo! You will surprise (scare) him if you act like that." The young man with the priest outfit said as he stopped the young lady with a mage outfit who seemed to be called 'Leo'.

"I'm sorry for making you surprised. We want to thank you for your help before and want to ask some questions. But because you leaving us like that, we are asking the people in this city about where we would be able to find you. I'm glad that you are so famous that almost everyone in this city knows about you." The young man with the knight outfit explained. 

"If you want to thank me, you are better to thank that person who hiding while trying to hold his laughter. I only do it because he asked me to help him." Ludger said as he pointed at someone who hiding in the corner and tried to stop himself from laughing.

"Huh?! What are you doing here? Why are you lazing around in this place at this hour?" The young man with the priest outfit asks with a confused face.

"Ahaha, I just want to eat in this restaurant. Have you tried the food in this restaurant? I really recommend the food from this restaurant. It was extremely delicious." Darius panicked said.

"Mr. Darius, I have done it like I promised you. But I won't do the other one because I was too busy. I'm sorry but I need to do my work. So please excuse me." Ludger said and bowed his head before he went to the kitchen.

"Haa, why does he often hole himself in the kitchen lately?" Darius sighed and mutter.

Ludger who enters the kitchen able to smell the fragrant aroma of the spices. It was because they were making a curry for today's special menu. The aroma made him feel hungry and want to quickly take one plate of it. The people who cooking in the kitchen realized Ludger's arrival but they did not greet him until they finished their work. Ludger also didn't want to disturb them and only silently watched them in case they needed his help.

After a few minutes passed, they finally finished with the preparation. 

"I'm home like what I promised you before. Have you eaten your lunch? Or should we try the curry to make sure that it is as tasty as the one that we made before?" Ludger asks the people in the kitchen who seem to haven't rested from this morning.

"Welcome home, Lil Ludger. You are right. We need to try it first and taste it to make sure that it is good to serve to our customers." Caron, the owner was the one who greeted him and agreed with his suggestion and took some curry.

There are three different large pots on the stove. It contains different types of curry; sweet, mild and spicy. As Caron took some of it and put it on the dining table in the kitchen for the employee to eat their meals peacefully. The kitchen was the most peaceful place in this restaurant because there were too many people who were doing something that might cause some trouble because of the fame of the people who worked there.

The most popular person is of course Ludger. The second is Winslow, then Katarina, Ancelina and Caron. While the others were not as famous as the five of them, they were still quite famous than normal people in this city. Because the people who work in Red Dawn restaurant mostly have a good appearance that makes other people look twice when they see them. 

"Umm, should I take our customer's orders first?" Katarina asked as she blushed and went out of the kitchen.

It was something that everyone in the Red Dawn knew about it but they did not say it because they didn't want to make the two of them feel awkward. That's why everyone pretending to not realize about how close Katarina and Darius are these few days. Ludger also didn't want to admit it but Darius' persistence and earnestness finally took his mother's heart. However, it makes Ludger feel worried because Darius has been hiding his real identity as Duke Kadaklan, Kismet.

'Will my Mom still love him even when she knows about his real identity? I don't want my Mom to feel betrayed or tricked by him. But my Mom still hates the noble because of what happened in the East before.' Ludger thought as he looked at his mother back with a worried expression.

"What happened, Lil Ludger? Are you jealous of him because he took your mother?" Caron asked with an interest expression.

"It's different from what you are thinking, Owner. I was worried about their relationship. I don't know if they were able to continue their relationship because Mr. Darius is quite a busy person. I just don't want my Mom to get hurt because of it." Ludger said with a worried expression. 

"Don't worry about it. Let their fate and the Goddess guide them. I hope that both of them will be able to get their happiness." Caron said to comfort Ludger.

"Here. You need to eat so you will have the energy to help them later." Winslow understands what Ludger is thinking but it is no use in thinking about it because it depends on the two of them.

It sounds cold or indifferent but actually, it was the correct way to face it for now. At least it won't cause any stress and they might be able to make more rational decisions later if something happened. But it was more easy to say it rather than doing it. Ludger understood what Winslow trying to tell him but he couldn't help but worry about it.

Ludger started to try the curry. The first one is the sweet curry. The apples and tomatoes were quite good to pair with the monster meats that they used to cook the curry. The sweet taste of the jam that they used also blended perfectly with the spices. It was the curry that most children in Red Dawn loved. 

The second one is the mild curry. The curry had a bit spicy taste that made the body get warmer. Ludger was able to taste that they did a good job of mixing the spices with the yoghurt. As Ludger didn't remember all of the recipes and some of them had a different taste than what he had tasted in his previous life, they made a lot of trials and errors. The same for the last one, the spicy curry. Ludger did not know how the people in this world would react to it.

"The taste is too spicy for me. But it tastes quite good when you are used to it. It has a deep savoury taste and also some bitter aftertaste on it." Winslow said as he spooned another spoon of the spicy curry.

"Waa! Water, water!" Ancelina who tried the spicy curry said in a panic way.

Bensen took a glass of water and gave it to Ancelina. She quickly took the glass and started to gulp the water. Because of the water, Ancelina was finally able to calm herself down as the hot sensation had become lessened than before.

"Haaa. Much better. I don't think it will be that spicy." Ancelina said while looking at the spicy curry plate with fear in her eyes.

"Hmm, I also never thought that it would taste like this." Ludger nodded his head before turning his head to Winslow.

Winslow seems to thought about something related to the dishes. He was too focused on the food and seemed to be unable to hear the noises around him. Winslow was thinking about the food and how to improve the taste to be more delicious than this one.

As they were enjoying themselves with the curry dishes, Katarina came back and looked at the people in the kitchen who tasted the curry dishes. She quickly finds the person that she wants to get, her child, Ludger.

"My dear child, why are you hiding in here when you have some friend who looking for you? Even if you feel uncomfortable, at least talk to them this time." Katrina said and took Ludger out with her.

"Forgive us for our rudeness before, 'Lord Ludger'. My name is Edgar. Please call me Ed and please tell me if we made a mistake or annoyed you." The young man with a priest outfit said.

"Please stop it and just call me Ludger if it didn't cause you any problem." Ludger said with a wry smile on his face.

"Hmm, do you hate being called 'Lord Ludger'? Well, some people might be trying to cause some trouble for you because of it, right" Edgar said as he saw Ludger's bitter expression.

"My name is Leona please call me Leo. And I will call you Ludger." Leona said with a blushing face.

"I'm Rainold. Please call me Rain. Nice to meet you,  Ludger." Rainold introduces himself like his friends.

"Likewise, nice to meet you too, Ed, Leo and Rain. Then, could you tell me why do you want to talk to me? I was just a normal commoner like the others so my knowledge might be lacking a lot and my manner might be rude sometimes. Right, do you want to order something? We are making three different types of curry as today's special menu. Do you want to try it?" Ludger decided to talk politely and friendly to them as he couldn't keep avoiding them.
