LIII: Reincarnated Elf.

Just before the fight began, a group of greenish lights appeared next to Mitra, merging and transforming into the figure of a blonde-haired elven woman with a rather 'mature' appearance, so to speak. She was wearing a long, blue, low-cut dress full of tiny dots that shimmered like a starry night, even though it was daytime.

"Your Majesty, you look like you need help," the woman said in a seductive voice, but even John, someone who was quite flirtatious by nature, sensed that there was something wrong with that voice.

Mitra looked at the uninvited elf, showing some disgust at his mere presence, for this supposed servant was nothing more than a reincarnated being, something a bit taboo among his species, but still bearable.

The unlucky ones were those who were reincarnated as dwarves, as the dwarf kingdoms despised such a person, as it went against their culture, where a dwarf returned to dust to build the world and to reincarnate would be to remove a fundamental part of it, to ruin it.

"You should know your place, Kal, you are only here as a companion, not an advisor, you can never be a worthy successor to 'them', so step aside," Mithra reprimanded the elven woman floating next to her, then shut her out, focusing her attention on her enemies who had been preparing while she was distracted.

Axel's bow changed, it was now one made of silver energy with an ethereal glow around it. The arrow shot into it was pure energy, silver in color, with no trace of the previous white energy. The silver color was an improvement in quality over the previous one.

John now floated at a similar height to Mithra and Kal, his face covered by a hood that only revealed his glowing golden eyes. Magical power blossomed around him like mischievous little sparks, demonstrating his exuberance.

Alex, with a smile on his face and a more serious look on his face, had his body covered in lightning armor that almost solidified on his body. His eyes shone with light, and his hair rose in the air from the unbridled but controlled energy he manipulated.

Behind Seone, the black snake with golden rings and red eyes gazed greedily at Mitra and Kal, oblivious to the power or presence emanating from the elven princess. Seone was ready for action, knowing that the upcoming battle would be quite complicated and that one wrong step would mean losing a limb or dying.

His left eye began to emit a faint flash of red light, but it had not fully ignited yet, he would have to save the boost from his eye for later, as he was just beginning to develop the energy-boosting ability he now possessed, and he would have to control not only the increase in power, but also the duration of it, so as not to injure or overload himself.

Although he was a bit nervous, he wanted this fight because only with enough pressure could he integrate his new organ into his fighting style, and it was in the midst of battle that he could increase his strength and use techniques such as the scale armor of vitality that now covered his body.

"It doesn't matter if he never gets to replace that outstanding lady, I just want to be of service. You see, Your Highness, these guys are reincarnated like me, they have unique abilities, visions, and thoughts. If you fight them as if they were ordinary people? As the Orientals used to say? You'll end up in the gutter," Kal said, looking at Seone and the others a bit greedily, those were free points, he had to take part in this fight whether he wanted to or not.

"Stand still and don't move until I tell you to," Mitra ordered before quickly firing an energy arrow at the group below, but it was intercepted by an arrow from Axel.

"Laser +++" After a bit of a long cast, an orb of light appeared in front of John, which then transformed into an eye that emitted a dense beam of purple light that immediately reached Mitra.

But as if in anticipation, Mitra's magical power had already stirred on its own, creating a wall of green light that reflected the beam upward, even though the impact knocked Mitra back several hundred feet.

Just as she regained her composure, the elven princess sensed danger and raised her hands, drawing her bow and deflecting a sword covered in dense green lightning. Alex had leaped at the previously distracted Mitra and swung a blow at her.

Mitra pushed him back, then dodged several sonic arrows from Axel and several fireballs from John, then wanted to attack Alex, who was probably falling, but she knew that was a foolish idea, as the brunet was 'running' in the air, and with every step he took, an electric spark flashed in the void, holding him.

"Third Sword: Execution" Seone's indifferent voice was heard as a giant sword of crimson vitality slashed at Mitra, who created another screen of light with a gesture, but was thrown back again.

The strategy was not to kill her in one blow, which would be impossible, but rather to delay the fight as long as possible, not only to wear down Princess Mitra but also so that reinforcements could arrive in time to change the course of the battle.

Mitra was no fool, a bit childish, yes, but she had not lived 700 years without gaining wisdom, she realized the intentions of her enemies, and she smiled for the first time in the whole fight. She did not rush to launch powerful attacks just because she wanted them dead, no, she simply subtly changed her actions.

If they wanted to drag things out, she would give them a reason to do so, so she quickly flew towards Alex, causing a sonic blast that didn't affect her or her armor, firstly because her body was quite tough, and secondly, all her equipment was enchanted by the best of the Emerald Kingdom.

Noticing the unusual approach of the elf, Axel placed his sword in front of him, channeled his magical power into it, and prepared for action. The lightning bolts around his body stopped fluttering as if they no longer needed to be so free. The constant crackling sound of electricity changed to a low hum.

"Frenzy," his image seemed to distort as four versions of him rushed at top speed towards the approaching Mitra, who had put down her bow and made four massive arms of emerald energy appear behind her.

The four Alexes swung their swords at Mithra, delivering dozens of slashes that seemed like a flash of lightning, but Mithra's magical arms created four screens of light that protected the elf princess. After the screens were shattered by the relentless attack, small orbs of silver light emerged from each and shot out at the four Alexes.

Three of them were shattered, and the real Alex had to constantly swing his sword at an insane speed while retreating because he felt that even with his lightning armor, he would suffer greatly if those lights touched him. Therefore, he was unable to defend himself when two huge fists struck him from behind and threw him to the ground.

It turned out that Mitra had used the opportunity to dodge several attacks from Axel and John, then quickly positioned herself behind Alex and made this sneak attack that would not do much damage to the swordsman, but it would take him out of the air for a few moments. Giving the princess enough room to continue her plan.

Casually dodging Seone's pressure attack, the princess' four energy arms performed several mudras at high speed, along with her royal hands. Soon, a huge hole appeared in the sky above the battlefield, a silver portal.

As if casting this spell had 'priority', the arrows and magical attacks of Seone's companions slammed into a greenish barrier, leaving the princess unharmed.

Seone, who had held the fallen Alex and was now standing next to him, couldn't help but feel that he lacked a truly effective way to deal with flying enemies. There was a technique for it in the Belmont book, but it was by far one of the most difficult, and he hadn't even begun to train it.

It wasn't as easy as it was with the energy scales that covered his body now, the latter technique was something he had already thought of and visualized a lot in his mind, but the flying technique of the Belmont Clan was something unexplored for him, and trying to perform techniques you didn't even know was a good ticket to death, something Seone didn't want to experience again.

Small spark-like things fell from the silver portal, all of them flying at high speed, and that dark green appearance with an ominous aura was the only warning Seone and his companions needed to know not to be hit by such a terrible attack.

"Wow, the characteristic ability of the silver elf royalty, even though the portal is much smaller than what the queen is capable of, it's still something remarkable," Kal murmured at the beautiful sight in front of him.

Those sparks were relentless, no matter if it was a tree, rock, ground, animals, or the air itself, disintegrated and they could not stop their advance, even defenses based on energy or anything physical were useless, it was simply a silent, destructive, cruel bombardment.

The four had no choice but to flee, horrified at the sight before them, as a large portion of the Forest of Death was reduced to flying ashes scattered in the wind. It was as if the world had taken an eraser to this place.

"Damn, it's just an elven hakai," John complained as he flew, constantly dodging those annoying little sparks that seemed to affect even space, light, and gravity.

"But at least... we were able to hold on," Axel said with a smile on his face, as his sharp eyes saw a huge purple ball flying furiously towards the princess, who realized that the incoming attack was something of a troublesome nature.

"Hollow Purple," Jessica's voice was like soft music to the ears, her attack distracted the princess' attention, causing the portal in the sky to stop and fade away.

The green sparks disappeared as the silver portal vanished, and Mitra, dodging a dangerous attack, saw the massive explosion that had caused that ball of purple energy in the distance.

Then the princess turned her gaze to a brown-skinned girl with white hair, a firm and somewhat muscular build, and bright blue eyes that seemed to watch her from the depths of her being. Those eyes made her think of the starry sky, a place she would love to explore in the future, but now those eyes were scrutinizing her as if she were simply worthless, something that bothered her greatly.

Mithras sensed that the woman was not using magic or vitality, but an extremely corrosive energy based on negative emotions, but realizing that the woman was not alienated or deformed in any way, she knew that it was a controllable energy and probably possessed strange means of attacking or defending herself.

Soon Marie arrived, along with Susie and Ron, as well as Monic, Violet, Samantha, and Jack. Noticing that powerful knights and mages were about to arrive, Mitra felt uneasy, not only because her enemies were escaping from her hands, but also because she had used so much magic in her last spell.

The flower crown on her head had faded and the arms on her back were gone, but knowing that mere humans couldn't hold her, she decided to say something before she left.

"You will all die in this forest," and as if there was some secret communication between her and Kal, the latter flew towards her, looking down with disdain, especially at Marie.

"A little dragon... looks like you don't have a rider, do you want me to ride you?" and right after saying those words, a whirlwind of crimson energy flew towards him.

"Secret Sword Technique: Blade Tornado," a tornado of red vital energy almost 7 meters high appeared in front of Kal almost immediately, who hadn't expected such a reaction from Seone, only from Marie.

It was an attack with almost all of Seone's energy, enhanced by his eye power and executed in a somewhat unexpected way, especially since he even exaggerated with the spin energy, using the almost infinite spin out of pure anger.

She didn't like Kal's words at all, especially since his emerging snake-like nature made him even more greedy and possessive, a trait that Marie didn't find annoying at all, but rather supportive, since she was the same way in that respect.

The blonde elf and the princess were caught in such a powerful attack, and although they used magic to defend themselves, the ill-prepared defenses were torn apart by the tornado, which tore large chunks of flesh from the elves, adding a new shade of red to the scene.

When the attack subsided, a blue dragon of pure energy lay before them, with the two badly wounded elves beneath it. The dragon had appeared when Kal and Mitra's bodies were wounded, protecting them from harm and suffering only the loss of a few scales and dense wounds that looked more like scratches.

"I never expected to reveal this in front of you... but what a pity, I have to go," Kal said with a tired tone, letting the dragonfly, since it was made of energy, did not suffer from air resistance, so it soon disappeared into the horizon.

Samantha looked at Seone, who was supported by Marie, and received many kisses on the cheek, a smile broke out on her face that made Jack, who was standing next to her, shiver.

I'm not going to take that away from you, you've learned to stand up for yourself, it's about time,' the woman thought as some memories came to her mind.

The day ended with the end of the skirmish, but it was only the first flash in this fierce fire called war. Unknown to anyone, a woman with nine tails had watched the battle and felt it was worth waking up for.
