Chapter 50

Coffee cup halfway to her mouth, Gabby eyed her reflection in the bathroom mirror and tried not to wince. She'd spent the better part of last night crying after she'd left Flynn's, and her puffy, red-rimmed eyes were a testimony. Dark shadows from lack of sleep only added to the wreckage.

At least the clinic was closed the next three days for Cade and Avery's wedding. Today, she and Zoe were heading to the botanical garden pavilion to set up for the big day tomorrow. She had to get her act together or she'd look like the floor of the New York Subway in wedding pictures.

Damn it, though. It hurt so bad. Flynn had said this wasn't the end, but it sure felt like it when he'd looked at her last night as if he couldn't take the relationship anymore. And what did that say about her when even Flynn couldn't stick?
