"There, there," Geth stroked Apate's beautiful black hair, trying to calm her down. The two were hovering a few feet off the ground.
His eyes landed on the unconscious bodies of Zolis and Sindri. He cast a heal on the two of them after noticing a small trickle of blood running from their ears.
"Are you okay, Apate?" He could see that the Goddess had protected them, and he was very grateful. Geth could have never expected that the Mana storm would have acted so violently or that there was a snag in getting the last of the resources.
The earth rumbled before Apate had the chance to answer.
Geth looked to the left and right. All around the city, the ground was shifting, opening up for the new wall to surface.
He watched on curiously. In none of his lives had Humans ever had the interest in creating such an environment.
He was starting to believe that to be a mistake. The survivors in Albus' timeline were loaded with ingenuity!
