Winter vacation has already started which means I have some time for myself and time to think about my impending doom.

It's been two days and I haven't seen An Yi Wei yet, it may seem that I'm purposely ignoring him but the truth is that I just wanted our 'relationship' to cool down.

To let the event sink in and cemented their growing affection for one another. It's just a matter of time before An Yi Wei divorces me and let the world humiliate me.

With a call from Nai Nai, something must have reached in her ears, she's the An matriarch after all.

Even if Nai Nai knew about the other days' event, she wouldn't know about our impending divorce. It was hidden to her purposely after all by the An family.

Since it's clear for everyone that her love for me outweighs her grandson, she is bound to be biased to me.

The fiasco from the other day must have reached the An as well as the public, I'm still unsure whether a video surfaced on the internet since I don't stream on the net these days.

"Where are you going?" A'liu pops her head in the bedroom, her face covered in cream from her skincare product.

"Nai Nai asked for me" instantly, her face stiffen and she rushed to my side.

"Did she found out about that?"

I smiled slightly and say "I don't know, maybe?" I even had the guts to chuckle but stopped when I saw the seriousness in A'liu's face. "I'm fine, don't worry about me"

"I think the word I'm fine is stitched into your lips" she pointed out made me chuckle before continuing" You know I'll be there for you right? Whoever is your enemy is my enemy too, I'm always your number one supporter"

It felt like something was lodged in my throat, eyes burning in tears as I embraced her brave self

I had finally managed to tell her what I truly feel.

She doesn't need to do this, honestly, I'm glad that she's here by my side. I know that the people who stay beside you when you're in trouble are your real friends but I don't want that for her.

I want her to be selfish, to be that proud and vibrant woman that I know, to live her life without society's shackle and break off the norms.

I don't want for her to live that life again, to be that woman who was so distraught in life she chose to end her life.

Like a butterfly, gorgeously flapping her wings for everyone to see and then died within a short time.

I didn't notice any difference in the eyes of the people around me nor hear any vicious words from them.

It was different.

"Butler Lin" I smiled at the middle-aged man, he's the right hand of Nai Nai and someone with a very serious demeanor.

What he says is what he'll do.

"Old Madam wants to talk to you Mrs. An" he leads me to the familiar room of Nai Nai and stopped when we were just five steps away from the door.

I knocked and waited till I heard Nai Nai's confirmation then opened the door.

She was sitting in her favorite chair, she was staring at something with a somber look on her face.

"Nai Nai" her eyes flew up to me the moment she heard me call her.

"Sit with me"

I could feel the atmosphere was wrong, just based on Nai Nai's tone, I could feel the severity of what she's about to say.

With that, I sat down stiffly and waited for her to talk, lips pressed in a thin line as I look down, trying to hide the nervousness in my eyes.

"Do you know why I doted in you so much?"
