"Tang Xue is it? What a coincidence, you got the same surname as ours. Which family of Tang are you from, young lady?" Madam Chen pointed the srevants to serve the tea.

Tang Xue hesitated for awhile and she glanced at Xuan who's sitting between her and his sister, he slightly nodded to her.

"...Actually, they found me near their camp and granny Ning healed me but by the time I woke up, I don't remember anyhting, not even my name. So granny gave me a name. Tang from Tang Xuan and Xue from Ning Xue which makes Tang Xue." she told the older lady the truth.

Madan Chen stared into her eyes and with a mixed expression she said.

"Tang Xue, I really like you. You are kind, polite and beautiful but you lost your memories and we don't know who you really are. If you identity somehow makes my Tang family in danger, I hope you are ready to face it when that happen.

Tang Xuan threw a warning glance to his mother which she returned and he immediately turns to Xue and mouthed 'sorry'.

Tang Xue closes her eyes and opens them back and says confidently.

"Don't worry, madam. Tang Xuan is the one who saved me and I'm very thankful of that. I will never do anything that will harm the lives of my saviour." Madan Chen glad at Tang Xue's declaration.

"I'm glad you know that." His mom said asked the servants to serve dinner.

The dinner ended in a happy atmosphere in which Tang Ning fed her brother his most hated dish, tofu. Being a young child, Tang Ning curiously asked Tang Xue everything she saw. From the bracelet that granny gifted to her to the scent of herbs in Xue's body.

"Why don't you two bring her to Plum Blossom room." Madam Chen said to her two children.

"Of course we will! Let's go brother!" The little girl in the pink hanfu said taking the hand of her brother and Xue and ran out of the room.

Tang Xuan looked at his little sister and a face of helplessness appeared.

"Now that I'm back to the capital, the emperor will keep on summoning me and I will be alot busier. There'll also be a celebration party at the palace 2 days later, my mother will call the tailor to make you a dress to wear at the party." Tang Xuan said in one breath.

Xue chuckled and asked "Will the celebretion party be a battlefield of words?"

He looked over to Xue concerned.

"I'll be fine, you don't have to worry. If someone messes with me, I'll just quietly poison them." Tang Xue took out a bag filled with poison and showed it to him.

He held his hands up and walked a step back "Have some mercy for their poor souls."

Tang Xue showed her dimple smile at his action.

"Only if they don't bother me."

'With the moonlight directed to his face, that goddamn handsome face smiled and showed his charms. Rather than a smile, I would rather say... a toothy grin. Dammit, he looked so handsome.'

"Get in now, I'm taking Ning'er back to her room. Sleep well." He watched Tang Xue got in safetly to her room before he turned and brought his sleepy sister back to her room.

"Gu mama, look at my boy. He's all grown up already, he even brings home a girl. Aiya... It felt like just yesterday when I held his small body in my hand..." Madam Chen looked outside her window and drank her cup of tea that had been ignored for awhile.

"Look at him, before he never have that look like that. He's falling in love, my lady. I think this is a good thing, for him and for all of us, plus look at that girl, there's no trace of evilness at all. I'm sure nothing will happen my lady. You don't have to worry." Gu mama reassured her.

"I hope you are right."

"Let go of me! Let go of me you jerks!" The girl screamed. But those ugly jerks didn't let her go instead they pulled her harder to a carriage made of sticks and locked that carriage.

The girl panicked and instantly knocked the door with all her strength.

"Open this door! Let me go! You can't bring me back there!"

The girl shouted till her throat dried yet nobody cared they just go on with their work and left the poor girl alone.

The carriage started to move. The girl was carried there for a night before it stopped.

The sight of the burning fish and the smell of wine in air made the girl hungry. She hasn't eaten since morning.

She looked at them and saw that 2 of them were drunk while one has already fainted.

She waited for a long time before only snore could be heard. She used the branches that has somehow landed on her carriage.

She quietly opened the lock and ran for a very long time before she saw smoke.

'Fire!'

She ran even faster but her exhausted state took her over and she fainted.

Unfortunately her head landed right one the rock and she almost lost her hope when darkness took over her.

Tang Xue woke up by the sound of the tray falling.

"Who is it?" Tang Xue said taking the poison from below her pillow.

"I'm sorry, miss. This servant is wrong" The servant knelt in panic and quickly bowed asking for forgiveness.

Tang Xue got out of her bed and walked to the servant. She let out a glad sigh, not knowing that she was helding her breath just now.

"It's fine, please stand up. I'm just surprised."

"This servant thanks young miss."

"Stop with the formalities. Did madam send you here?"

"Yes, madam says to prepare your bath but this servant is careless enough to drop the things."

"It's fine stop blaming yourself."

"Then I will go on and prepare your bath miss."

"Thank you"

Tang Xue sat on her bed thinking about the dream she has.

'It's definitely the memories of this body. She escaped from the carriage but passed out in the middle of escaped and was saved by Tang Xuan.'

"Miss, the bath is ready. Please come over."

"Thank you." Changing her mix expression to a sincere smile to the servant, she walked to the bath and didn't think to hard about that dream anymore.

"Where's Xuan?" I asked the servant that prepared the warm bath for me earlier.

"Lord Tang was summoned by the emperor, miss." She said, I realized I haven't knew her name yet.

"What is your name?" So I asked her.

"This servant is called Hua." Hua? As in Flower?

"Hua... Call me Xue." I offered to shake hands with her as a sign that we're friends already.

"This servant-"

"Stop calling yourself servant. You don't have to worry about the formalities with me." I took her hand and shook it

"Thank you... X- xue."

Tang Xue smiled and turned left to go to the main hall at the centre of the manor.

"Madam, can this girl ask for your permission to go out and explore the capital city?" Tang Xue handed a candied fruit to madam. She found out that the reason madam was called Chen instead of Tang because the late Duke Tang hate it when people look down on his wife who was a daughter of a small ranked minister before they got married, so he let her use her surname even after they got married, although in official statements, she is Madam Tang.

After thinking for a while, Madam Chen smiled and said.

"You may, bring some guards with you."

"It's fine, madam. Hua will be there with me."

"Hua? You mean the servant that I assigned to help you to get use to this place"

"Yes that's her, madam."

Madam Chen looked at the maid beside her and signaled her with her eyes. A minute later, the maid came back with a small pocket and handed it to madam Chen.

"This is some money for you. Go on and use it if you need to buy anything."

"Thank you, madam. Then Tang Xue will be going now." Tang Xue shortly bowed and left.

"Hua! Where is your favourite place in the capital? Why don't you bring me there?" With light steps, Tang Xue strolled over the capital city.

"I know a place where they sell things all the along the street! Let's go, it's this way!"

Hua excitedly leaded Tang Xue to a street where its full of vendors, red lanterns hanging from house to house. Girls swarming to buy cosmetics and kids asking their parents to buy them every candies and sweets they saw.

Tang Xue pointed to stand where they sell sweet candies and asked excitingly.

"Hua, look at that, let's buy it."

"Boss! How much is it?" Hua asked the man standing behind the stand.

"5 cents, but because you both are so pretty, why don't I give you 8 cents for 2 candies?" He fanned himself and gave out to stick of candies for them.

"Sure, I will have two then."

Tang Xue handed over the money and gave one of the candies to Hua. Then Tang Xue proceeds to pull Hua to another stand again and that's how they spent their day till the sunset.
