We are ENGAGED?

While sitting near the river. Anastasia kept her legs inside the water and started humming. She enjoyed hearing ripples that the river made.

Her surrounding was peaceful. There were few people around her- but, it didn't matter. She could currently only focus on the happiness she was feeling.

"Isn't it wonderful? I wish I could stay here for long." She grinned while looking at Ezen, but in return she got his same cold look.

Anastasia sighed. "You are not much of a speaker. Are you?"

Ezen crossed his arms. "What do you want me to speak about?"

Is not that he don't like to speak with others. It's just, he don't know how to make small talks. That task is very difficult for him.

"I mean- you can say anything you want. You can tell me about yourself if you feel like it." After all, she don't know anything about him except that he is a demon.

"May I ask why you are so curious about me?"Ezen found her question eccentric.

"Umm… because I don't know you. How are we going to marry if I don't know your background?"

Ezen became dumbfounded when he heard it. "What?" He didn't expected her to make a move first."

Anastasia realised what she said. But she was not embarrassed about it. She always wanted to talk about this matter with him. But she didn't got the chance. "See, I am going to be straightforward. Equinox told me everything about the way we can break the soul bounding." She said determinedly. "If the marriage is the only way we both can free ourselves. Then I don't mind."

"Wait! Really?" Ezen still couldn't believe what he was hearing. "So- you don't have problem with the marriage?"

Anastasia shook her head. "Not at all"

Ezen sighed. "Thankfully you understand me. I was getting scared for no reason." He expected Anastasia to get mad if he told her about the marriage. But if she is the one who is insisting first then he has no reason to delay it any longer.

"So when should we get married? Tomorrow? Are you free that time? We can arrange the wedding at day or night. You decide everything." He got little too excited.

"Woah! Calm down mister. You look like you are dying to get married?" She said coldly. "Don't forget that you still owe me 30 million pounds."

Ezen opened his mouth in shock. "I thought you only wanted 10 million pounds."

"Yes I did but extra 20 million is for my bravery."

Ezen: "What bravery?"

Anastasia got offended. "What bravery!? I risked my life to resurrect Equinox- and now I am sacrificing my wedding dream to get married with you. Does this mean nothing to you? Is my bravery not worth even 30 million pounds?" She scoffs. "Actually, you promised me billion pounds but still I asked for only little amount. What do you think I…" She looked towards him to get any reaction out of him but in return Ezen stared at her like he was watching a soap opera.

"Why are you studying for medical? You are in wrong field. You should have been actress instead. With all the drama you do, I bet you would had won the Oscar."

"Stop teasing me about my profession!" She glared at him.

While they were arguing by themselves. A old woman came smiling towards them. "You guys fight like a married couple from now on." The woman chuckled. "Are you guys dating?"

Anastasia got up from the ground and looked at the old lady with dumbfounded expression. "Huh!? Dating?"

Ezen shook his head. "No we are not dating." He holded Anastasia's hand. "Actually we are engaged. We are gonna marry tomorrow only."

"What!?" Anastasia became shocked. She glanced at the old woman looking at them suspiciously. That's why she laughed awkwardly. "Yeah… Right. We are ENGAGED."

"That's cute" The old lady smiled. "So if you are going to get married then why don't you put this holy water into the river. Trust me, you'll get blessed by doing it." After saying that, the old woman tried to gave that bottle to Ezen. But Anastasia came in between and took the bottle from her hand. Because she knew that if the holy water touched Ezen than his true form will come out.

"It's okay. I'll take it." Anastasia hesitantly smiled. As their hands touched to take the bottle. The old woman started to act weird.

She continuously started looking somewhere and huffed heavily. In her panic state the bottle in her hand also fell down from her hand.

Anastasia went towards her to check up on the old woman. As per she knows, the old woman is currently having an panic attack. But what could have triggered it?

"Miss, calm down. Please take deep breaths." She was also panicking. But soon, she saw a middle aged man running towards them.

"Mom! What happened?" The man held his mon in his arms and asked. "What exactly happened to…" he suddenly stopped when he saw Anastasia's face.

"I also don't know. She suddenly fell down like this." She said.

"It's okay. This thing happens with her every time. You don't need to worry about it." The man suddenly started to act normal.

He tried to take his mother away. But the old woman held Anastasia's wrist and tried to say something. "Dahl.." the old woman was having difficulty speaking but still she wanted to tell her something.

"What is she trying to say?" Anastasia tried to ask the man about it. But he completely ignored her.

"Come. Let's go mom." He then took his mother in his arms took her somewhere hurriedly.

Anastasia kept looking at them with more concern. "What the hell? What did just happened?"

While she was thinking about it, she noticed that she didn't saw or heard Ezen anywhere when all this was happening.

She looked around to search him. But she found him no where. "Ezen! Where are you!?" She got scared.

She tried to go somewhere but suddenly, she stepped into a glass like thing. It was the bottle the old woman tried to give them. The holy water inside it turned whole black. She was terrified by it. "Oh shit! How can I be so careless?"

When the old woman was panicking, the bottle in her hand fell down and broke into pieces. In that time, few drops of the holy water fell into Ezen's leg. Maybe this is why he disappeared.

"Oh no! Now where am I supposed to find you?" That's when she got an idea. She held the ruby necklace in her hand and started walking without consciously anywhere. Because Anastasia knew, that the ruby necklace will definitely bring her to him.

Whenever she used to take wrong step. The ruby necklace would glow stating the path was wrong.

By doing this thing, she finally reached to the place he was.

"May the god bless the world we live." A nun said while lighting the candles before the god's statue and started to prey. "Lord, please protect all of my children's. I won't ask for anything else." When she opened her eyes. She saw the candle in her hand flickering. She knew what was coming.

She took out handful of salt in her hand and threw it at the doorstep so no bad energy could come in.

A loud click could be heard entering but when Equinox tried to go inside the church, She got slammed into something. Someone didn't wanted her to come in.

She looked at the nun who was facing the other direction. "Hello miss. I need help. Can I come in?"

"Sorry my child, but demons are not allowed here." The nun faced Equinox and smiled.

Equinox was surprised. "Morana!?"

"Shh… Don't scream. I am currently in my human form."

"But why are you not letting me in?" Equinox got confused.

Morana crossed her arms. "I already told you. Demons are not allowed here. Only humans can enter it. Sorry but I can't let you in."

"I know I am a demon but… once I was a human too. I am allowed to be any holy places I want. You can't take my rights away."

Morana sighed. "Fine. But I am only letting you in because your father was great devotee of mine. I had high expectations from you too but you decided to side with your mother."

"I didn't had any choice. Even you know about why I did it." Equinox looked down sadly.

"Yeah right…" Morana whispered. "But I don't understand. Why did you suddenly came into this church? Were you not scared someone would burn you down if they found out about you?" She made the salt on the doorstep to the side so Equinox could enter easily.

"Uhh.. Yes I was. But I was desperate." She entered into the church. "I actually need help from this human form of yours."

"Mine?" Morana was shocked. "How did you heard about me? Because I don't think anyone knows about my human form."

"I heard it from few ghost. They were saying that there is a nun who can answer any question you want. When I heard it. I came to meet you."

"Ohh" Morana nodded. "Fine. Then come inside. This place is not safe to talk about anything."

They were about to go inside Morana's secret room. But that time, they heard a man running towards them while taking an old woman in his arms.

"Mother goddess help!" The man whined. He kept his mother on the ground and joined his hand to pray. "She is acting weird. Her flesh is slowly starting to melt."

"Catherine!?" Morana became worried and sat beside her. "What happened to her?" She asked the man.

When she asked it. The man face became dull. "I think we met her. I don't know if it is true or not. but i think it's her."

"Who her?" Equinox said curiously. At the first glance she knew that this old woman is not a normal person, but an immortal.

But the weird fact is, why is her skin melting? Immortal don't get hurt by anything.

"Shh… no questions." Morana said in serious tone.

When the man said that they met her. She exactly knew who they were talking about. That's why she didn't wanted to waste any time. "Get inside everyone. I think it's the time."
