Do you love him?

Agnes was surrounded by wolves in the middle of the forest.

The hungry wolfs were waiting for Agnes to move, so they all could pounce on her and eat her. But it didn't worked because Agnes used her spells to make some of the wolfs unconscious and only kept the alpha in the right state.

Seeing all of his pack members hurt the alpha got alerted and started to angrily growl at Agnes.

After looking at her current situation, Agnes thought that she should just kill him because

it was impossible to make him unconscious.

But she couldn't do it, because it was strictly prohibited for her to kill any animal or human without upper orders, otherwise she could loose powers. That's why she was hesitant to cast the killing spell.

Seeing Agnes in the dilemma, the wolf took his chance and started to run towards her.

He was just about to pounce her but before he attacked her, a blue light came towards him and hitted him with a force, making him fall on the ground.

Because of being scared, Agnes covered her face with her both hands. She was shocked to see the wolf on the ground groaning with pain.

How is this possible? She didn't casted any spell, then who did? She was dumbfounded because of it. But then, she heard a very familiar voice coming from her behind.

"Mom!? Are you okay!? Are you hurt somewhere?" A blonde woman with a pale skin came running towards her to check if she was alright.

By seeing that girl in front of her, Agnes could not believe her eyes. "Cassie!?" She gave that women a big tight hug. "Oh my goodness" Agnes cried joyful tears. "It's been 1000 years"

Cassandra also couldn't hold back her tears anymore and she quickly hugged her mother back. "I know, i am sorry." She begins to cry for being guilty. She should have atleast called her but she didn't. because of being scared.

Agnes wipped Cassandra's tears. "No crying now. just tell me, how was your life? Living for 1000 years" her eyes started to be dull. "Did it pained?"

Cassandra smiled while her eyes sheded tears. "Nothing hurts me anymore. Afterall, i have seen my love yearning for someone else right before my eyes. Now what else in my life could hurt me?"

Agnes widened her eyes and looked at Cassandra. "Cassie!!" She shook her head into no, so she could stop talking about it.

But in return Cassandra just laughed. "I am sorry mom. This is why i hate this village. It always makes me remember the old memories that i want to forget. But anyways, you want to know what happened in all this years? In Edinburgh, 100 years ago. Me and victor started a business together and now, our company is very powerful in the circle. It has more than million branches all over the world. So technically, i am still living lavishly as before and i had some good relationship with humans too."

Cassandra was very excited while talking about it, but Agnes could still see the pain hidden inside her. "Are you still in love with victor? Hmm? Do you love him?"

Cassandra quickly denied. "No, he just think me as a friend. Nothing else" she looked down sadly.

Agnes: "And what about you? After all this centuries, you still have him in your heart? Right? Cassie you could fool the world. Not me, i am your mother. I know you very well."

Cassandra also couldn't control her emotions. "Yes i loved him. I'll always love him. But it doesn't matter anymore. He will never love me and i have accepted it." She holded Agnes's hand. "Mom, his friendship means the world to me and i don't expect anything in return."

Agnes: "Ohh really? Then why did you choosed this path? You had chance to be in heaven but you rejected it. Why? Because Victor didn't wanted to go there. Why would you loose this big opportunity? Did you really thought that being with you for so many years, he will start to develop feelings for you?" Agnes sighed "if he ever loved you in his life then he would have never broken up the engagement. But instead of choosing you. He ended up falling for that wench, who not only ruined him. But she also ended our kingdom."

Cassandra covered her ears "Mom! Stop it! Don't talk about the past anymore. It hurts me." She breathed heavily. "And by the way. I didn't rejected to enter heaver just so victor could fall in love with me. No! I did it to protect him." Her eyes became wet. "From my young age, you are the one who told me this, right mom? You told me the reason I was born was  just so i could protect the crown prince. And i am doing it! Think about it, if i went to heaven without completing my soul purpose then with what face am i going to meet god?"

Agnes: "I understand it. But i just can't see you in pain. Maybe it's my fault. I should have never made you entangled into the supernatural realm. And i don't even know how to ask for forgiveness anymore." She falled on her knees.

Cassandra also sat down and tried to make her mother understand the truth. All the things that happened was nobody's fault except the fate. "Mamma please, don't be like this. Maybe it is written in my destiny to be like this. I don't blame anyone for it."

But Agnes was not buying it. "But i blame the person who wrote your destiny. I hope wherever they are, they will never find happiness in their life." After Agnes cursed the person. Suddenly, lighting started to come from the sky. And they could hear thunder crashing noises.

Looks like the upper beings from heaven's heard their talks and they didn't liked Agnes cursing the person who wrote everyone's destiny. That's why lighting was just a warning to not talk anything about the person.

But Agnes didn't felt guilty about saying this. Because she was not wrong. Which mother could see their own child in pain? Even after sacrificing her own life for others. Agnes got this in return? Her daughter couldn't get the happy ending she deserved.

She stood up from the ground and hugged Cassandra again. "I am so proud of you Cassie. Even after living your life in pain, you never made the darkness consume you. You are still pure as the day i first saw you. Trust me, you are truly a miracle child. That's why the heaven's angel gave you the task to protect victor."

Agnes didn't knew this. But this words "i am so proud of you" has touched Cassandra's heart. Thats what she wanted to hear from all those years she has been leaving in the earth.

Cassandra broked the hug and cried tears of happiness. "I am so happy right now." She giggled. "But enough talks, i need to find victor. Do you know where he is? He didn't even told me why he came back in the village?"

"Hmm" Agnes nodded "He is trying to find Anastasia."

Cassandra was confused. "Anastasia? Who is she?" But then she remembered. "Ohh, you mean her?" She asked calmly.

Agnes: "Yeah.."

Cassandra: "Then maybe, i need to find both of them."

Agnes: "Alright, but be careful. Because Ezen came out from the dungeon we trapped him in."

Cassandra: "Are we surprised mom? We already knew that it was going to happen. Afterall, nobody can break the prophecy. I know it very well, because i am the one who predicted it. But i am really scared for Anastasia. She is a human, what if Ezen did something to her? If that happened then victor would never forgive himself." Anastasia is his responsibilty and Cassandra knew that victor will go to any length to protect her.

When Anastasia came outside of the palace, she did not saw anyone there. She even tried to ask mimi about the person but in return, she got no answer.

But afterwards, she heard someone calling her name from behind. "Anastasia here." Victor said while calling her towards him.

Anastasia was shocked when she saw him. Mimi told her to meet him? Why? Does he has any connection with her?

Anastasia: "You!? What are you doing here?"

Victor: "Your grandmother is trying to find you. That's why i came here to take you home."

Anastasia became suspicious. "But how did you knew that i was here?"

Victor: "Uhh, umm. I was just..." He couldn't think of any words that could stop Anastasia from being suspicious.

What should he tell her? That he found this information from her other soul who knows him. Will she believe that? And even if she did then, she will definitely ask questions about it. And he don't have any answers for it.

Anastasia crossed her arms "Mimi told you about this? Right? I am not really surprised."

Victor: "Uhh..."

Anastasia: "So tell me, what connection does my other soul has with the crown prince of the Stafford village?"

Victor's eyes turned big. "How did you found about my identity? I thought I hid it well."

Anastasia: "I found it out because i am smart" she chuckled because she was sounding like a narcissistic person.

Victor: "You are just like someone i used to know. Afterall, you do take after your mother." He said this in a low tone so Anastasia could not hear it.

Anastasia: "Pardon?"

Victor shook his head. "I am sorry, it was nothing. I was just talking with myself."

Anastasia: "Don't be sorry, i do the same thing sometimes. So i understand it. But still, i want to ask about something."

Victor: "Ohh yeah, go ahead, ask anything you want." In his head, he was praying that she won't ask something he can't answer.

Anastasia: How did you became my guardian angel from a prince? Did anyone threatened you to that?" She understood who might have done that. "Mimi did it? Right?" She said in soft voice.

Victor looked at her and smiled "That's a long story to tell. But yeah, your mimi did threatened me to protect you."

"I knew tha..., Ahhh!!" She felt her palm paining like it was bitten by a snake. While she was trying to make it stop. She noticed that her whole palm turned blue. That made her even more panic.

But that time, the sky started to act weird. A aloud lightning bang could be heard from the sky and that noise made Anastasia annoyed, thats why she covered her ears. "What the hell! Why is the weather acting up now?"

Victor also couldn't understand it. If the thunder lightning is happening then that means either Anastasia's power is being uncontrollable or maybe the heaven's higher self is mad at someone.

But how is he supposed to know exactly what happened?

Victor: "Anastasia why did you screamed earlier? Show me your hand."

Anastasia also showed it to him because her hand was not paining now with the help of magical healing. But still her palm was blue.

Victor tried various ways by his magic to take out the numbness from her hand but it didn't worked. That's why he thought that the matter was something else. Someone has cursed Anastasia. But he didn't knew who might have done that?

Maybe Ezen might be have done that. Looks like it was finally the time to meet him. But he can't do that now, because Anastasia is with him. That's why first he will try to calm the weather and later take out the curse from Anastasia body.

So now to stop the thunder storm. He decided to cast a spell.

"tempestas prohibere" his hazel eyes from before started to turned into a silver colour. And after some time, the weather became normal again.

Anastasia was very impressed when she saw this. She started to jump from excitement. "Oh my goodness" she covered her mouth to hide her smile. "Please be my mentor. I also want to learn magic. Please please please" she asked him pleadingly while looking at him with her puppy eyes.

Victor: "Okay fine. I was going to teach you how to use your power anyway. But make sure, you don't use it for something bad. Otherwise it could also get snatched away from you. So be safe. Alright?"

Anastasia nodded "Yeah, but what spell are you going to teach me?"

Victor: "A spell that can make all the bad energy around you run away. Especially the demons."

Anastasia: "You are talking about Ezen? Aren't you?"

Victor: "You know about him? Just like i thought. So tell me, did he tried to make a deal with you?"

Anastasia: "Yes but i declined it because i don't want to put my life in danger because of the stupid deal."

Victor was proud. "Hmm... Good job. You are so much smarter than me."

Anastasia: "Does that mean, you once falled into a trap of a demon?" She was joking but it directly hitted in victor's heart. but he didn't said anything about it.

Victor: "let me show you how to use your power." He took Anastasia's both hands into his own and adviced her to close her eyes and repeat the spell after him. "Oremus ad caelum"

Anastasia also did as he said because she wanted to know more about that spell. That's why she started to repeat after victor. "Oremus ad caelum"

After saying that, she begin to feel enlightened for some reason.

It felt like she was in peace and she could also feel a majestic mana around her body. A bright blue light was making circle around them but they were unknown that it was present.

Victor slowly opened his eyes and noticed the blue light around him. He looked at it smiled.

Victor: "Looks like you did got cursed free. Open your eyes and see it yourself."

Anastasia eyelids felt heavy. And when she opened her eyes. It colours turned into purple but she had no idea about it. only victor could see her true form.

This was just a start till her powers grow into something more big.
