The Audition(Part-2)
Then Ying Yue left the room.
After a few more participants, it was the turn of Jingfei. Ying Yue already knew that Jingfei gets selected in the second round. An hour after Jingfei's turn, the first part of the second audition ended.
They called the names of 20 participants and told them to leave.
'Remaining 80. I must be one of the selected 40, anyhow.'
They called all the auditionees inside. In the space where a chair was kept for the auditionee to sit, there was a table with a big jar.
"Everyone, pick a card from the jar. There are two colors inside the jar, red and blue. The red auditionees and blue will have a dance battle. Freestyle dance. We will pair red and blue together for each battle. Then the judges will vote. The one receiving the highest vote will be the winner. The other person will leave. If it is a tie, then we will do another battle but it will be a battle of singing or rapping. Only the votes from the second round will be counted. Any questions?'' asked Hou Ling standing up.
No one raised their hand.
"Then start picking." he took his seat again as he said that.
Ying Yue got a red card. Jingfei got a blue card.
'Please let me compete with Jingfei. I will show her the most embarrassing way one can get defeated.' Ying Yue thought while intensely looking at Jingfei who had her eyes fixed on Zheng Kai.
"So all of you take a break of half an hour. After that we will call the name of 5 auditionees from the red group and five from the blue group. We will choose who will compete against whom inside the room."
Everyone took their seat in the waiting room and they had their cards in their hands. Ying Yue was looking through them. The first one who she looked at was the most tough opponent with a blue card.

'She was the top auditionee. The one who competes her is destined to lose. Because she was the center lead of the girl group created in this show. She is truly the best of the best. I collaborated with her as I wrote a song for her in her later years of debut. It was a solo song. She got popularity from that song. That's why we became close friends. Though my strongest suit is dance, that song was based on my real life. That's why it got so much popularity. I already feel bad for her opponent. Hopefully it won't be me.'
The second person she looked at was someone she wanted to compete with Qingling with a red card.

'Zou Meili. She was my partner for consecutive three songs. She wrote the lyrics while I added music to it. The first song was a flop. But the other two songs were a hit. So, we had a good relationship. However that was in the later years. During the competition she was aggressive. She was once almost kicked out of the competition because of her misbehavior. She used to hate me during the first few years. I don't want a competitor like her. It's best if she losses in this very round.'
Ying Yue looked at the other auditionees. The next person who caught her eyes was Xia Wen.

'Xia Wen. She was my best friend and the only person who never cheated me. We met 2 years before I married Junjie at the age of 22. Some might say 4 years is really short to call soemone best friend. But she was the only one who helped me. She even brought proof against Junjie and Jingfei. But I was blinded by their fake love. I treated her like shit and didn't even talk to her. But she came the day before I died and apologized for not being able to save me from them when she did her best. She was the first person I wrote a song with and it was a hit. From there my career started and I met so many wonderful and talented artists.'
She looked through others. Except for these three and Jingfei; Ying Yue didn't know anyone. It means no one from this room was famous in her past life except for these four. In her past life, these four including another girl who is the daughter of a very influential person were able to win the competition. That girl, Xiao Yuan came to the show later and they even gave her a chance because of her family. They formed a girl group called Bluefish. It was at the top from 2024 to the time Ying Yue died.
An hour passed by quickly. Soon the pretty girl came and called the five names from blue group.
"Quan Qingling, Jiang Jingfei ,Chang Juayi, Lei Lihua and Dai Hong from the blue group please enter the room."
She paused and looked at the piece of page on her on her hand. Then she talked again.
"Gong Ai, Duan Yuanjun, Bai Jinjing, Zhou Meili and Ying Yue from the red group please enter the audition room."
'Guess I really am competiting against Jingfei.' Ying Yue thought and smiled while entering the room.
"So, the battle will be between Gong Ai vs. Chang Jiayi, Lei Lihua vs Duan Yuanjun, Dai Hong vs.Bai Jinjing, Quan Qingling vs. Zhou Meili and Jiang Jingfei vs. Jiang Ying Yue." Said Hou Lingwhile keeping the piece of paper he was looking at on the table.
"Wait," suddenly Zheng Kai spoke up.
"During Ying Yue's audition, I didn't ask her anything. So I want to use that chance to change her opponent."
"Ok, who do you think she should compete with?" Asked Hou Ling.
"Quan Qingling."
"Ok. Then Ying Yue you will compete against Quan Qinhling and Jingfei will compete against Zou Meili."
'Damn it. Bastard.' Thought Ying Yue lookinng at Zheng Kai's eyes.
