/1 year later/
It's been a year since we had little Draco, he has been a blessing to our lives, six months after little Draco lived with us, my wife Chise got pregnant and the best part is they were sextuplets, at least according to the healer. This was a blessing, one only the gods could give as it was extremely rare for two different races of Demi-humans to have kids much less have sextuplets. Chise's belly has been growing bigger and she's a bit irritable but everything else is alright. Chise's parents arrived two months ago so they are helping take care of little Draco.
In a house west of the village. An old Cat man was cutting some wood.
"Marcus!!! Just how long are you going to be chopping wood, come back inside" said an elderly woman from inside the house.
The man mumbled something before putting his axe aside and entering the house. Once inside he saw a once beautiful wife sitting on a chair knitting something.
" How can I help you, my dear Rita," he said with a charming smile.
"Go fetch little Draco. It's almost time for dinner". She replied
The old man looked at the wall with a primitive clock and noticed it was almost 6 pm.
Wasn't it too early for dinner he thought as he said
"Isn't it too early"
"I repeat myself Go get Draco!!" She replied with a bit more angry tone as they argued for a while.
Sigh, they are at it again. For an even more trivial reason thought Draco as he was upstairs in the house trying to balance himself with his tail.
"Ugh this is hard" Draco muttered to himself as it had been a year since he arrived in this world, and it seemed his mother was pregnant that's why he was at his grandparent's house. As it was to give his mother some space, she was becoming a bit irritable. Maybe it's a cat thing when pregnant he thought as he finally got a hang of moving around with his heavy tail. His tail was long and flexible, as it could be wrapped around him easily while his scales weren't hard but soft. Probably because he was young
"
Maybe because I am still young the only active ability I can use is partial transformation, which I used to change my hands into small dragon claws and it can also be used to bring out my wings, though they were small. "My abilities will probably grow stronger once I get falna" I muttered to myself as I tried to conquer the stairs.
Being a dragon-elven-spirit mix doesn't seem to have changed me yet but based on what I heard from god, my spirit will take the shape of my body so that also means my sense of self will probably adjust to that I guess. I mean dragons are known to be wise, greedy, and arrogant, but those are just stereotypes humans use to interpret things they don't know. I will just keep being me and find out what the new me is capable of. Oh and yea I learned the language not writing but just speaking, though not fluent I will improve with time.
The village I live in is interesting, as a lot of people In the town are retired adventurers and though they are mostly level 2's there are some higher-leveled ones like my grandparents.
I wasn't really hated for my looks, but because of my monster looking parts but I wasn't also really liked too, especially by some adventurers, so I always stayed close to home.
"Sigh, you win this round, my dear Rita". Said Markus as he noticed Draco struggling to come down the stairs.
"Oh dear, come hug grandma. Dinner will be ready soon". Rita said softly.
Marcus walked up the stairs, midway through he picked up Draco and took him down.
"Thanks, Grandpa," Draco said in a baby voice and walked toward his grandma.
"Here you go my little dragon," said Rita as she lifted him into a hug and kissed his forehead.
My grandparents might keep bickering with each other but if you look past that, it can be seen how much they love each other. An hour later dinner was ready and my dad came over to Rita and Marcus as we were having beef stew for dinner which was my favorite as my teeth came in early. Seems my carnivorous side made my teeth weirdly sharp and I mostly like meat, even though I could eat fruits and veggies my preference was still meat.
"Father, mother. Is everything ok?" Mark asked
"Why wouldn't we be ok?" Replied Rita "Didn't you have work to do today?" Asked grandpa
"I finished work early today so I can pick up Draco," Mark said in reply.
"You can leave him here for a few more weeks. It isn't a problem to take care of little Draco" said Grandpa
Mark's face turns Ashen as he thought of what Chise would do to him if his in-laws kept Draco that long away from her. So he thought of a clever reply.
" This isn't for me to decide, it's Chise. And you know she always gets what she wants as she is your daughter. At most I can buy you a few more days" he said.
" Look at you scared of your wife, aren't you a man," Grandpa said as Grandma's face turned weird with a creepy scowl.
"Oh not scared of your wife you say," she said in a condescending tone.
"Of course, I listen to my dear Rita" Grandpa hurriedly said to appease Grandma.
Sigh
" I think is time for me to go," Mark said as if to escape from the house before things got dicey.
Bang
The sound of the door could be heard closing as Mark made his exit. Hopefully, Chise won't be that mad Mark thought as he walked back home.
3 months later
" Push, push," the wet nurse said as it was already time for the birth of my siblings.
"Waaah"
The sound of babies could be heard as Mark and Marcus were downstairs waiting.
"Click"
The sound of a door opening was heard as a wet nurse came down and called for the men to come up.
Mark ran towards the room and he saw it, his wife lying haggard on the bed while his mother-in-law and some wet nurses were carrying his six children.
"Congratulations you have 3 boys and 3 girls with 2 being cat people, 2 being some hybrid, and the last 2 being Chientropes," a wet nurse said as this truly was a miracle.
" What about Chise, how is she," Mark asked the wet nurse.
"she is fine, just a bit tired" she replied as Mark went toward his children.
Mark seeing them wanted to cry but had to keep a strong man front. He needed to protect his family from the monsters around the village, most of the retired adventurers were getting old and weaker as time passed. But he was weak, all he could do was make sure to push the wall-building operation around the village faster.
He looked at his children once more and then remembered he left Draco alone, so he ran downstairs to pick Draco up to meet his new siblings. After that, he thanked the wet nurses and the herbalist that accompanied them. Sending them off he went back upstairs to tend to his wife.
Three days later.
Chise could be seen on the bed nursing her children. While exhausted since Draco wasn't as noisy as these new little troublemakers.
"Mark I think we lucked out with Draco. Taking care of the six of these kids is so exhausting, I can't even sleep in peace". Chise said to Mark as he too was exhausted.
"How about hiring a maid," Mark said as he thought about how to earn more money to feed his now seven kids.
But Chise ignored his questions she didn't like the option. It was not that she didn't trust her husband but the many books and rumors about maids destroying families seemed to deter her from the option.
Mark sensing Chise's displeasure and changed the topic as they enjoyed the rest of the day with their kids.
